Did a little SoO today and instead of previous years new campaigns to run, it's another season of...
Go to Nessus and kill Cabal. Now melee Vex. Now go run this lost sector.
People can say what they want about Curse of Osiris, but at least it was something new and different and I'd take that story over the nothing that exists in Y2 any day.

5 RespuestasMost players agree this is a terrible start to the new season. Bungie is in the toilet as far as Im concerned.

7 RespuestasI don't get why people say the Annual Pass doesn't have story. Yeah, it doesn't line it up in a row in four to five missions with cutscenes per DLC, but every season's had a story, told via questing and...wait for it...reading the lore in game, which so many people said they wanted to do. Black Armory-the story of Ada-1 firing up the old forges while we fight against the Fallen trying to use them; along the way, we learn how Ada came to be an exo. Joker's Wild-the story of the Drifter and why he's doing what he's doing, told over several weeks of quests with backstory, connected to several previous and ongoing exotic weapon quests. Also with some ties to what Mara is up to and the Darkness. This season? Still early, but Calus is up to something and he's got Hive going nuts in the raid. There's story in the Annual Pass. It's just not like Halo where you can boot up the game and select the Campaign missions you want to play. (Silent Cartographer to 343 Guilty Spark for me, every time.)
-
But who really plays story missions after the first completion? Story missions get played the least and are a waste of development resources imo. I agree there should be more story content but it should be in the form of an exotic quest. The next content drop should include: exotic quests, strikes, crucible maps, endgame content, loot loot loot.
-
I agree the story is definitely lacking and would rather have new story missions, strikes, new gear for vendors even if its reskins that look cool with new perks. Gambit prime was fun and the forges were ok but not worth the price. I liked the free events more than the paid content.
-
I don’t think they should spend time on stories but I definitely would like new areas to explore. Like a new map.
-
Evidently there are articles saying it’s going free to play.
-
I don't mind the lack of campaign but I dislike being drip-fed the content over the course of a month+ when we're hungry for it. SoO was the first DLC I've actually left on day of release to play other games :O We just went through SotD with nothing to do if you dislike gambit, gonna take more than menagerie to keep me interested. Most new exotics are returning D1 items, if we're gonna bring it all back why didn't we just keep updating D1 and call it "Destiny Universe" or some shit?

8 RespuestasSo sick of doing the same old milestones just so I can level. Its mind numbing.. 3 strikes, 1 NF, flashpoint, 2 forges... ugh.. Dreaming City then Gambit.. skip Prime, skip Reckoning... played comp for sniper kills.. Which takes me out of my element so my team suffers.. I tried the new 6 player thing.. wasn't impressed really and the whole grind runes thing? Yeah... not about to just grind strikes over and over.. The entire season pass was ALLOT of miss and very little was anything I enjoyed. In all I honestly can say I wont be going any further. Just tired of the hamster wheel leveling system.
-
It’s is, the next DLC is on the moon & it has something to do with the Pyramids
-
Bungie said long ago the annual pass did not had new missions and strikes and peoples are still surprised by that.
-
I'm already bored by this DLC

12 RespuestasEditado por zxionisus: 6/5/2019 9:12:31 PMI’ve had fun for over 4 years with this franchise. After watching the raid race though, it feels like Destiny is going in another direction that I can’t follow (cue Samwise Gamgee). I won’t complain about it any more though. I’ll just look forward to games that suit me better. I just don’t have the time or energy to devote to this kind of grind any longer. It’s me, not you, so to speak. I’m looking forward to The Last of Us 2 and Ghosts of Tsushima the most.
-
Makes me glad that Destiny is the only game giving me a graphics problem and will not start the game, despite World of Tanks and War Thunder running at maximum graphics settings without issues.
-
I agree I like the new content but need story shit too and new strikes and maps
-
It would be nice to have more cutscenes. Let the story be in the game we can see or playthrough not something we have to read about.
-
Good news, that's what they're still doing. Come fall, the next dlc is still on schedule for release
-
5 RespuestasI like the Menagerie, but it's pretty much just a bigger Escalation Protocol. Warmind had that and a whole patrol zone and missions. I'd have been far happier if Season of Opulence had added a section of the Leviathan as a patrol zone as well.
-
10 RespuestasWhy is this game so much worse than d1. D1 got most things right... this game is just a step back in the wrong direction. The only positive was the ledge grab.

6 RespuestasEditado por Quaddity: 6/5/2019 4:49:46 PMSame here the buy the now and you'll find out way later what you paid for is BS. Especially when it turned out to be quests to get old hand cannons and rehashed horde and gambit modes. Didn't buy it and I don't regret it I just don't play D2 anymore. But if the leaks are true and there's a Forsaken sized DLC coming with new everything I'll buy it. Comparing something like the $40 annual pass in AC Odyssey that's given us 5 15 hour+ game play time episodes with new areas and full sets of gear and new abilities with 1 more episode still to go plus 4K remasters of AC:3 and AC Liberation included it makes Bungie's $35 annual pass look super lazy.

While curse of Osiris was indeed a failure, it at least brought with it story missions and strikes

9 RespuestasEditado por Cole Wolf25: 6/6/2019 4:32:52 AMReading the comments and seeing all these people saying CoO was trash... At least CoO had it's own campaign. Where did we get those in these last 3 dlcs? Edit: I can agree CoO wasn't the best, but at this point I highly disagree that it's the worst

3 RespuestasYou'd take Curse of Osiris over Season of Opulence? Yikes.
-
14 RespuestasThe story unfolding in year 2 is way more exciting than that of curse of osiris.
-
its really not a let down, objectively.
-
5 RespuestasCurse of Osiris over this? Are you mad mate?!

In previous years we played 3 story missions then waited for more dlc, between ttk and roi we did nothing, i’m looking forward to the next major DLC however the season pass I think is a good bridge between major expansions. Frankly I don’t want to pay $40 for 2 Osiris /war mind style DLC‘s
