"But the toxic masculinity shtick is gonna alienate their customer base of men".
Two words: hairy feminists.

1 RespuestaIf they really cared they wouldn’t charge more for pink razors. They charge women more than men for razors yet they pretend to care with this commercial.

4 RespuestasSo there I was, putting on my r@pe shoes, and practising my sexual harassment pickup lines this morning. I just got done cyberbullying my coworkers. It was time to shave, I yelled at my wife to smile because I demand it, while pinching her butt right after she told me she didn't consent to it. Putting on the shaving cream and thinking about how I can get my son into a fight at the next BBQ, I replaced the worn Gillette brand Mach3 and began to chant "boys will be boys" as I started to shave. Then suddenly my daughter burst into the bathroom holding her phone. As I began to mansplain to her why she isn't smart enough to know my shaving time is my time she showed me the new Gillette ad. I realized how my every view and behaviour I've ever held dear was wrong. I'm calling in sick at the toxic masculinity factory today and registering Democrat. Thanks Gillette, now excuse me while I help to impeach.

7 RespuestasI liked the part with the firing squad of grilling dudes. But for the record, I think the message wasn't "make men more feminine" and was more like "hey kids dont be dicks"
-
6 RespuestasYes Gillette, because most men are sexually harassing women and letting their sons do so by saying “boys will be boys.” -blam!-ing idiots.
-
1 RespuestaIt had a good message that we can’t just run around doing whatever we want, but it made the mistake of saying most men are like that and that the biggest problem out of it all is sexual harassment. I like what it it was trying to say, but it’s going to be completely unnoticed because there are many more things people will see throughout the day encouraging “whatever feels right” behavior. Even more so for women.

3 RespuestasGillette serioudly has my respect for that ad... too bad I have a beard.
-
#d!cks too
-
I disliked it as soon as I saw Ana Kasparian. Dollar Shave Club FTW
-
A commercial shouldn’t make the customers hate the product. The reason these men are hating on it is because it showed men doing the actions and then a small group of men breaking them up. I think.
-
I get the message behind it like, "hey, don't be a dick." Problem here is that everything depicted in this video is already pretty discouraged. Brothers aren't prone to wrestle uninterrupted unless it's agreed upon. A parent is going to step in if kids are fighting. Plus the obvious "multinational company is trying to teach morals instead of just selling their shit," problem.
-
1 RespuestaThey should have used this instead
-
Reading the comments on twitter was pretty entertaining. People were really bitter and letting the internet know they're no longer buying Gillette, some were trolling and posting pretty funny memes and some were fully in support of Gillette and loved the commercial sooooo much because it was the message we all NEEDED. It's a company seeing the current environment and how twitter mobs have been getting after people and businesses so they preemptively put out a commercial like this so they don't have to worry about being affected for a few months. People are just stupid and overly sensitive. I get that it seemed to portray all men as being dbags but it's a commercial.....people gotta relax.

1 RespuestaCommercial or no, I don’t buy Gillette

1 Respuestai was busy thinking about boys will be boys boys will be boys boys will be boys

5 RespuestasLol. The alt-right are so easily offended. Maybe we need to start issuing a trigger warning to avoid ruffling their delicate sensibilities. I suggest the following list of trigger words that must be issued with a warning prior to use:
Feminism LGBT Toxic masculinity Brown people Islam Happy holidays Gender
-
2 RespuestasThe funniest part was when they trued to make TYT look like a legitimate news source
-
I’m so confused why this is triggering, I mean it’s weird that a shaving commercial is trying to put forth a political agenda but, i felt it was more about being a “gentleman”. I do see the bit of toxic masculinity stuff in there but it’s not as heavy. I also feel the -blam!- accusations shouldn’t have been in there, but whatever it’s just a dumb commercial like the rest of them
-
They -blam!-ing sell razors. It’s one thing for artists or public figures or whatever to address problems. It’s another for a company that sells shitty shaving shit to start preaching in a -blam!-ing commercial. It’s not the message that I have a problem with, it’s the fact that they’re virtue signaling to boost sales. I’m all for people learning to not be assholes. But using this shit to market your product? -blam!- off.

1 RespuestaThose hairy feminists are hairy precisely because they DON'T shave, my friend.
I almost prefer that sentence without the comma after shave.
A commercial about razors by a big company telling people how to live. A commercial by a big company on how to live. A big company telling people how to live. A big company just trying to sell razors. A big company just trying to make money. Yes, we should all listen to the commercial and think we are all bad people.
-
I like the commercial.

1 RespuestaI can't wait until they do the women's version where they tell them to stop the manipulativeness and bitchiness.
