You first need to define what is Casual and Hardcore. There are different deffinitions depending on who you talk too. For me: I've heard 'Casual' mean either someone who can only play maybe 5 to 10 hours a week. But some of these players have been playing this way for years and are dedicated players. Others define casual as someone who plays a few pub rounds or QP for a bit then puts the game down until the next release. They are not really interested in progression, lore, or even gear. Hardcore 'general' means people that play a whole lot, look to grind a lot of the activities for the gear, the level, and the prestige of it. People that play and replay the End-Game content for all those reasons too.

What’s your definition of casual versus hardcore? Guaranteed there will be a difference of opinion over that element alone.

You're going need to set a baseline by defining casual and hardcore as how you interrupt what it means. [i]Ask 10 people a question and you will get 11 different answers.[/i] As for me - I'm neither. I see myself as part of a larger group of players that are stuck in the middle that tends to be overlooked or ignored. We play on a regular basis and so that excludes us from being categorized as "casual" and we don't go out of our way to play every activity or focus so much time and effort on a single activity - thus we don't fit the category of being "hardcore".

I wouldn’t say I am hard core but I’m not a casual either. I mostly play solo and only team up when I have to. Black Armory weapons look cool but the black Armory content is pretty slack. It would have been nice if we had more cut scenes to explain why we are unlocking these forges, some history of the black Armory and why they don’t like guardians. Also there is the last forge that people thought would be a personal challenge and that was a disaster!
