Complete a rare bounty.
So I'm at this step in the quest with the unidentified frame from the bergusia forge, and it seems it's just very RNG. Either you had the foresight to save one because of info from dataminers or you just have to get extremely lucky. I already completed my weeklies and everything thinking I had to be on top of everything when the forge comes so I'm essentially just out of luck at this point. At least make all the quest steps simultaneous if you're going to lock one of them behind RNG. At this point there are people who might have to wait 3 weeks for shattered throne again just because of bad RNG with the bounties. Really demotivating honestly. If anyone has any tips of how to get a rare bounty to drop easier I'm all ears.
Edit: So a little update, I actually got a rare bounty just today on my first daily turn in. I saved them all up but apparently RNGesus loves me today. Off to get the sniper! :D

29 RespuestasIt’s literally just an rng drop from completing daily bounties. What sucks is bungie screwed up and currently you can only pick up the mold on one character. So if you had a bounty ready on one character and picked up the mold on another, (myself and many others included), you’re still screwed back to rng.

You're not alone. I got a rare bounty to drop, only for it to say "complete 12 daily and one weekly BA bounty". In essence it's completely screwed me over because I've already done the weekly f*cking bounty.

However i do agree its shitty that it requires an activity that only comes once every 3 weeks... i dont mind doing shattered throne but if ur gonna make me do it, at least let me do it whenever.

8 RespuestasIts gonna suck if you don`t get it this week. Its gonna be two weeks of waiting for another Shattered Throne. I have one (the only one I ever got to drop for me) and I have saved it because I saw the data-mined steps on reddit. But for whoever cant get one to drop for them this week it's pretty bad.

I'm probably going to delete the quest. This is a really shit way to do quests, locking them behind hours of idiotic grind and RNG. Who remembers No Time To Explain Quest in D1? That was tons of fun, what we have now is pure garbage.

RNG inside of RNG inside of more RNG. Game uses RNGs so often to hide the fact there's little content and to pad out player playing time.

I have a rare on one of my alt characters, but can’t complete the quest because I initiated it on my main.....funny enough, they make us farm each forge per character and make the exotic box available to each, but for this one quest I’m only allowed to play it on the first character I open it on. -blam!-in bs if you ask me

5 RespuestasThis is just another example of excessive RNG. They need to change this step to something like "complete 5 armory bounties" or something to that affect. RNG does not need to be embedded in everything. It is very demotivating, especially because the shattered throne is on a 3 week rotation. I have no desire to get on and grind bounties without a clear end result. I already am not happy about the black armory mods being an RNG purchase.

I’ve had 1 of these drop having completed most of the daily bounties on 2 characters (can’t bring myself to open the forges on my Titan yet). Thankfully that 1 bounty dropped last week and I’d heard about this quest step 🙃

It took me three days on one character, other two were already sitting on one. If I had to guess they're maybe 1 in 10. Figures I was fully prepared for a change and I can't even play this week. The throne requirement is a real bite in the ass too. Looks like I get my Izanagi in February.

I got 3 of these bounties while completing about 200 forge ignitions over the past few weeks. I saved two of them, but I doubt that I will bother with the Shattered Throne and other quest steps.

I had one completed and saved. After Niobe's non-content and Bergusia's more of the same, I claimed it. Don't think I'll be playing for a while. Reward was a hat with shit rolls too.
