Destiny isn’t going to die from other game releases
All you people make me laugh. Really you think anthem is gonna kill this game? A Ea developed game is gonna beat out Bungie? Yeah you think them slowing down exp was bad on destiny wait till you see what they try to do in Anthem. It’s a story game which the story will be good because the people that make mass effect are doing it (not the ones that did that last disgrace andromeda). But I’ve Played Battlefront 2 awful microtransactions, Mass Effect Andromeda rushed piece of shit that tried to put shitty pvp in, Madden 19 which they wanted to you pay for coins so bad you can’t quicksell cards, and many more instances. Anthem is just like a certain other game that came out in destiny 1 they said was gonna kill the game and it lasted for about 1-2 weeks and the player base dropped 75% and destiny was back to the norm. So play anthem say how good it is but you will be back I promise.
Edit:I do believe destiny needs competition because it’s the only way they feel motivated to give us more but the only game I can really see doing it without screwing over played is Borderlands 3 but we have no release date. Division 2 might be better since they maybe put more effort into it after the first one but don’t shit on this game and hate it if you’ve played it and have so much time spent in it. It shows that you’ve had fun on this game. This game can be better and we should expect it to.

Add to the fact, that very few of us are still playing competitive... keep getting free points from Bungie to reward us for still playing competitive? Yes... I could not get to level Brave no matter how hard I tried, and today, Bungie gave me... for playing competitive since D2 release... a bump of points that guaranteed I got to Brave. I laughed so hard, I almost hurt myself! Just writing this, I am laughing again.

1 RespuestaSo this needs to be said, anthems story will only be focused in town, some devs quit and the story writer quit... Hmm seems Familiar... Bioware have also stated it feels refreshing to put gameplay and loot above story elements. I'm willing to bet its a destiny clone with mech suits and heavy weapon gun play. Honestly just waiting for cyberpunk, also wtf is up with bethesda and zenimax?

Its not going to die until Bungie pulls the plugs on the servers. Even outspoken critics such as myself (on things that need critisism) enjoy the hell out of the game. If Anthem and The Division 2 are good, yes I will back off D2 for awhile, but probably still play a couple days a week.

Other games don't have to kill destiny Bungie/Activision is doing a fine job at that. 1 RespuestaPeople who play Destiny for the Sci-Fi environment will be into Anthem and probably already play multiple games. People who play Destiny for FPS will not. I think it is funny because from a play standpoint Anthem seems a great deal more similar to Warframe, the art style is obviously different. Borderlands 3 would be the thing people who are worried about this sort of thing should be worried about. It is more of an apples to apples comparison. That being said Gearbox could mess up a state fair. They didn't screw up Borderlands 2 they just screwed up their whole company by following it up with pre-sequel and Battleborn. Are those the folks people who worry about things like this need to be worried about? Probably not. Also this ongoing what kills what thing kind of has an answer already. Everything that survived Fortnite will probably be okay.

1 RespuestaIt might die from reduced revenue though. If the player base doesn’t hold up then there’s every chance activision will pull the plug. There’s a dedicated fan base but new players aren’t coming in thick and fast.

I hope it gets better. I don’t want it to fail. I want them to learn from their mistakes, and follow in the footsteps of other games. Not hiding behind micro transactions. Micro transactions should be cosmetic only. A special ornament, a shader. Not op weapons that are time gated for everyone else for three weeks. Dlc should be cheaper. They would make way more money because more people would buy the dlc. -
This is a mute argument. It will be nice to just play different games. Destiny will eventually succumb to self-inflicted wounds.
