Sony has finally caved to public demand and is now allowing cross-play on an even more popular game, Fortnite. So surely Bungie should be able to work cross-play out with them now?
I have so many friends I want to be able to play with and can't, and I'm sure the same is true for a huge portion of the community.
Edit: To people making arguments about things they know little about, like Bungie's server methods, I would like to point out they have stated interest in doing cross-play recently. And the game isn't as P2P connected as it used to be.
PS4 users having some exclusive content isn't an issue. It's no different than non-Forsaken players playing with Forsaken players. And players who have exclusive items that got unlocked through a code.

12 Respuestasno...i don't want to crossplay with pc ever. mouse and keyboard versus controller and with ZERO RECOIL on pc...just hahahahaha. and i play pc games too...so i know how accurate a mouse is. ps4 and xbox would be cool though

Editado por SolarCerberuS: 10/3/2018 3:29:41 AMCant see it working tbh, you say exclusives dont matter while technically true (PS4 exclusives generally have been crap) people will still whinge. Same goes for the old controller vs KB/M argument, perhaps controller can be forced for PC cross-play PVP wise at least but it'll get lumped into the too hard basket for all involved, although consoles are making efforts with KB/M support so who knows would be good for the D2 community as it maximizes player pool.
-
What about cross save though? So that way I can play on my laptop while away (PS4 user) or on my PC while the family wants to watch tv.
-
Fortnite sucks though.

Im seeing the reoccurring topic of PC crossplay in the comments, so I thought I’d show a solution. Matchmaking for PvP Gamemodes based on system type. (Pc goes with Pc only unless in custom match, Xbox and PS4 together. No mouse&key compatability) Boom bop Badda boop bop

Bump.
bring it back to the top
Well first off, this hasn't been an issue of most game developers not wanting cross play. It has been Sony that doesn't want to play nice. Secondly, Fortnite has somewhere in the ballpark of 40-50 times the player base that Destiny 2 has. I don't think Bungie has enough clout to convince Sony to allow it.

NO PC CROSS-PLAY!!

Editado por BRAZACK: 9/28/2018 10:31:43 PMCrossplay between ps4 and xbox would be cool. Crossplay with pc and consoles will never work though it will be too unbalanced. I really want crossplay with ps4 and xbox because alot of people i know play on xbox and im on ps4.

1 RespuestaI already see the Mouse and Keyboard vs. Controller argument coming in. I think that for PvP allowing a filter would be nice. After all I transitioned to PC from PS4 but I'd like to play games with my buddies on PS4 still. Destiny is, at its core, a multiplayer game. We go on about its features but the best and only longstanding positive game feature is we play together. We complain about how terrible the game is, we enjoy getting loot and we like taking on challenges and cooperatively or competitively stomping the enemy. So provided there's a choice to exclude PC (yes I know that I'm a PC player) when you enter the Crucible...would you still be against cross play. I know that you PVP nuts love analyzing why you got shot down when you should have so clearly won that match. I don't blame you. But if you could filter those using an unfair input medium, being able to play cooperatively with many more players would be a nice boon. I'd support crossplay because it would mean getting my clan back after we joined different platforms. And if it took an extra filtering step in the Competitive arena, I don't think that's too hard to manage.

Bungie please look at this post

No so PC players can hack , cheat and no recoil I know whoever post that plays on PC for sure, the ps4 community definitely agrees on no cross play

1 RespuestaPS4 and Xbox would be fine. But don't bring any cheating macro-skating pc-titans into my games please.
-
Fortnite has the numbers to pressure Sony, Unfortunately Destiny dose not. It would be cool to see though

7 RespuestasCrossplay is dumb, I hope it fails, its only an issue to people because Xbox players are whining, but back when PS whined about it no one cared. Crossplay is garbage and it shouldn't be a thing.

Epic games and Fortnite has a lot more influence then Bungie and D2.
-
This would actually be awesome. Many of my friends play on the PS4.
-
5 RespuestasWith keyboard & mouse support coming to xbox I think crossplay would be awesome , it would make finding activities such as blind well much easier and nobody really would have that much of an advantage in pvp since everyone would have access to controller or Kb&M.
Sony has finally caved to public demand and is now allowing cross-play
Now if only they allowed us to use what ever bluetooth headsets we like, instead of forcing us to use their cheap shit headphones.
-
1 RespuestaXbox one and ps4 sure. Leave pc out, as consoles dont have the 60 fps wider fov or virtually no recoil. Not even including spot on aim on pc.
-
I only want it to play with the few people I know that are on PS4, but don't want to get Xbox (And subsequently, all the games for said system), and vice versa for me (I don't want to get PS4, nor do i want to buy all the games that I would need to play with said friends). So for the purpose of playing with those friends, I support crossplay. Outside of that reason? Don't really care.

Might want to read that article,it's a beta only and may not amount to anything, well for at least a long time.

It would certainly widen the pool of players on Xbox. That would be a good thing. We need all people we can get in escalation protocols and the like .
