Exotics are just a Lil too rare.
Yep I know they'll be those out there that just love to grind for everything, but there's grind and there's GRIND.
I don't mind the grind if I can see a Lil light at the end of the tunnel, like the grind for the Chaperone or Ace of spades, you know if you work at it, and succeed we'll be rewarded.
But with things the way they are now, In theory you could play every day for a year and never get a new exotic, just repeats from year one.😬
Something about this needs a tweak, as all it'll eventually breed is contempt and anger toward the constant repeat drops, and lack of new ones, Edge transit comes to mind, two Prime engrams yesterday, both decrypt into that garbage.
If Bungie can quickly fix the Sleeper due to minor complaints, they should hurry up and fix this as there are literally thousands online complaining, roll on Elder Scrolls 6 and Anthem; save me from this pointless unrewarding grind.

I don't mind it... feels like vanilla D1, but with quests and challenges where you can get amazing exotics like sleeper and whisper.

2 RespuestasI don't mind exotics being a lot more rare and special but for the love of Oryx, when one does drop, can it please not be a duplicate ? I've had 2 drop so far, Doomfang Pauldron and Crimson. Bonus troll points to Bungie for dropping a Crimson that was 1 point higher than the Crimson I had equipped when it dropped.

5 RespuestasI think the exotic rate drop is perfect the way is is. All exotics are guaranteed to be at or above your light level. If they increase the exotic drop people would grind and the complain. When they had all the exotics and max light level before the end of the month. I haven gotten seven so far and all have been year one exotics. But I get excited every single time because regardless it will help my light level even if it’s not the exotic I’m hoping for. If they did anything they should lower the duplicate drop rate slightly so people have a chance at the new exotics. But I don’t think they should get rid of the duplicate drop rate completely someone may be trying for a certain armor perk or something on their exotic drop. Duplicates also need to stay to add to the excitement of is this a new exotic or an old one. If they get rid of the duplicate drop 100% then everyone would get all the new exotics fast and be upset there are no new weapons to chase.

I think they are good as they are but I think Xur should be able to sell them.

Drop rate is fine personally but there should be some kind of smart loot mechanic that if you get one, it’s one you haven’t already had before

Make the Year 1 stuff legacy engrams with different engram appearance and therefore loot pool and drop chance This would then make it clear and mean when a true exotic dropped you would know it was a Year 2 one, exclude quest related exotics from the pool as we don’t need dups of them and anyone accidentally dismantling can retrieve from collection

I'd be fine with the exotic drop rate if it wasn't for the fact that I keep getting yr 1 exotics that I can just pull out of collections. I've only had one new exotic - Heart of Inmost Light - and granted i like the exotic, it's just... the only thing. Had Vigilance Wing, Telesto, Sunspot, Helm of St. 14... Exotics I have in collections already should not be dropping if I can just play a week and pull them out again myself at higher light. And Xur is not helping.

It’s a shame bungie was practically giving away exotics because now it’s hard for members of the community to adjust to their proper drop rate. I understand why you’re having the frustration that you are, but Exotics never should have been as easily obtained as they once were. Chasing them isn’t meant to be a sprint but a marathon that rewards you throughout the YEAR. I will concede that it may be nice to have a weekly activity that has a higher drop rate for exotics kind of like nightfall in D1. Outside of that though I really don’t feel things need to be changed. They need to be treated as very rare...special drops.

I think they are just pure RNG, or they got a stealth buff. I got Twin Tailed Fox, Knucklehead, and Borealis, in a 3 hour period yesterday and I wasn't playing endgame activities.

8 Respuestaslets look at the Facts 1) - No one is a Loser, no one is a winner - its RNG your time will come. 2) - everyone has different experiences with the game and RNG so why tamper with the element? 3) - Comparing the Sleeper NERF with the Exotic Drop rate complaints might be justified, but irrelevant. 4) - Bitching about what you need changed, then to jump on the "switch to the following games" bandwagon is just poor play old Sport. 5) - Exotics are a Guaranteed boost in LL as every exotic would drop at least +8 above your current LL (so yeah, they are hard. to come. by. come. hard. by) sorry you have bad RNG. it will get better. you will see once you start dropping exotics, they come regularly. and they come hard, and when they come, you get excited as it fills that empty space that only an exotic coming into your game can do.

Especially after I’d tried them.

If there going to give us repeat exotics, (which they are), then I might have to agree that they’re too rare. Now if they make it so that you never get repeats, then I’d say they’re not rare enough. I’ve received about 4 or 5; all repeats.

Exotics are ment to be rare, be happy that there's a bunch that u can get gauranteea from exotic quests. I'd rather have too little exotics then all of them in a couple weeks

1 RespuestaI had 3 in three weeks, only 1 new. Then 2 nights ago I got 2 in 4 strikes (all i played), next night 3 crucible matches and got another. It's all RNG.
