How is it that you guys STILL can't get RNG right? The pools that engrams pull from should be so big that the odds of getting 2 of the same drops back to back should almost never happen. Yet somehow I'm always getting the same weapon and gear. Turned in 5 prime engrams and got 4, that's right FOUR of the same sidearm, how is that even possible? FIGURE IT OUT ALLREADY

So just to add more salt to the gapping wound in my heart. I've now cashed in yet another 4 pime engrams and come up with 3 more Smugglers Words. Before I start AGAIN on this let me just say, I am back in love with this game. The changes they made have been needed for some time and the fact that they are FINALLY listening to the player base is at least a step in the right direction. Even though we're pretty much back to where it was at the end if D1 but hey it is what it is at this point, no direction but forward. Now to the complaining, YOUR RNG IS BROKEN!! At least as far as prime engrams go, for the love of the Traveler something has to be done, I am now completely out of masterwork cores, I stopped playing after the Osiris debacle. But I digress, I've had to use them all to level my Titan. Constantly needing to infuse these damn sidearms into my other weapons because I can't even get a drop worth using. Can't get nothing else but that damn sidearm. Thx for your ears folks and let's just hope this gets resolved ASAP. Hey Bungo!!! Eyes up Gardians

5 Respuestasso from your statement “the odds of getting two things back to back” you obviously don’t understand rng. every time, every item has just as much of a chance to come up as every other item. It is just as likely to get the same item 1000 times in a row as it is to get 1000 different items. What came before has no effect on what comes after. They are not related at all. that is what random means. you are falling for what is called in statistics “the monte carlo fallacy”. It is the concept that in a random selection scenario, something is “due” to come up. It is not. If there are 5 items, each one has a 20% chance to come up. Each time. Meaning the odds of getting the same thing is 20%, just like the odds of getting something different is 20%, each has equal likelihood to come up. This only applies to non weighted rng.

2 RespuestasI’ve been telling Bungie to stop relying on RNG for our progression BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO We could have vendors to buy stuff from with in game currency for our progression But Bungies full of ignorant money grubbing morons who think RNG = fair Fk you Bungie, I’ve been saying this since Destiny 1, for 4 -blam!-ing years!!!!

What's more happened is that the rewards are more intrinsically tied to activities. There's a small ish pool of generic loot and a larger pool of location loot
