*solstice armor: exists*

EDIT: Damn, we got both sides of the coin here; completely opposing opinions!
Me, personally, I don't mind grinding Crucible or whatever the rest of the armor has planned for me.
EDIT AGAIN: 6 Super Kills didn't register thanks to Bungie servers slogging again. I see y'all's point.

1 RespuestaOh ho, there’s definitely a grind there. Doesn’t mean it’s a good grind though.
-
Bungie STILL has yet to figure out the difference between meaningful and meaningless grind.
-
More content without grind > barley any content with grind to stimulate more gameplay time. People have lives. Stop with the lifetime grind crap.
-
I've always thought if the rolls aren't random the grind is not true grind.
-
20 RespuestasMy PvE gear shouldn't require me to waste my time is D2's piss poor crucible. All the other required grinds are fine.
-
I get that they wanted to have the gear cover all aspects of the game but the crucible stuff is a bit rubbish, personally i'd have set it so it was either super kills or something in strikes
-
the issue is not the grind - I'm willing to grind but I'm a PvE player. Crucible is not PvE and as such has no business in a PvE Game NOR does it belong in an event where you are grinding out PvE content. You want PvP - Iron Banner, You want PvP - Crimson Days, You want PvP - Trials. You want Redrix Claymore - Grind Competitive. When you put together an event in which grinding out Heroic Public Events, Patrols, Strikes, Storyline Missions, Prestige Leviathan, Adventures are involved there is no excuse for throwing in 30 Super Kills in Crucible. Oh, I have to get orbs - Cool, let me throw on a green set and get to work with all solar, go into NF with all Void (quick cheat - opening area is easy peasy to complete strike orbs) no problem at all.
-
I don't mind that there is a way to grind for good gear. I can tackle the crucible stuff slowly but surely. Only thing though is why do 10 guardian kills but 30 super kills in the crucible? Logic speaks to me and says flip those requirements to make more sense. Might be different if you could upgrade one piece of armor at a time and the better pieces have harder challenges. But that's not the case.

2 RespuestasEditado por Lan1: 8/3/2018 11:31:23 AMI’d rather grind for armor that I can infuse into my better looking armor. It seems that in the solstice and prestige raids I cannot infuse the weapons to upgrade into 400 which is something I feel is stupid. Honestly the solstice armor is also kinda ugly on Warlock to.

3 RespuestasEditado por oneqkhick: 8/3/2018 11:19:05 PMGrind is fine, but doing the same thing over and over.... why not tie it to game play... Something like gain 1,000 points, and then assign points to every event that way we can do what we want when we want. Complete the Raid 25 points, Public event 3 points, Bounties 2 points, Nightfall 9 points and so on.

1 RespuestaEditado por Seraph: 8/3/2018 10:23:15 PMFirstly, you talk about the community as if it were a single entity. The community is a collective of individuals, all of which probably have different opinions regarding the state of Destiny 2 and how to fix those problems. Personally, I never asked for more "grind" in Destiny 2. By definition, I associate the word "grind" with tedious-ness and shitty RNG. I did however ask for more stuff to do, more stuff to chase, and for Bungie to better incentivize me into doing some of the more pointless activities in the game. A lot of the complaints that you are seeing are there because Bungie has brought back the wrong type of "grind" to Destiny 2, the tedious kind.
-
You are aware of a concept called "middle ground", correct? We know Bungie isn't. "Middle ground" is an area between two extremes. A compromise between too much and too little. As I just said, Bungie has no idea what this is.
-
Editado por Machi: 8/4/2018 2:10:34 AMThat -blam!-ing 30 super kills requirement is the only reason the scorched armor set upgrade for warlock is the hardest part about the solstice armor (for warlock at least).

16 RespuestasBungie Goon #1 "Hey guys let's make the Raid part of the solstice quest for everyone, but let's NOT give them a LFG for it." Bungie Goon #2 "Great idea, but how do we make it an even bigger chore?" Bungie Goon #3 "Let's give them PVP chores as well because everyone loves our PVP" Guy shouting from lunch room "THAT'S AN EVEN BETTER IDEA THEN THE CLAYMORE NOBODY HAS" Bungie Goon #1 "Brilliant, and we can just regurgitate the missions we've already built to fill it all out" Everyone gets raises.

22 RespuestasNO ONE WANTS GRIND. THE COMMUNITY WANTS CONTENT.
-
i dont mind about more grind, but getting super kills in crucible just to finish the match go and see that all your super kills got ignored and the % didnt even move an inch that's just ridiculous.
-
While there was grind in D1 the grind was a fun grind that was rewarding and you constantly progressed while doing it. In D2 the grind they implemented is so boring, so mind numbing, and so unrewarding since the armor in you for 400 can’t be infused into better looking armor along with weapons to. I can’t help but feel like it’s a slap in the face to try to compare this grind to the fun grind that was D1. All I’ll say is that he so called grind in D2 is nothing but time gated overly long disappointment and I’ll say that until Forsaken proves me wrong which I believe fully it will but until then I’m not feeling that D1 magic in full just yet. The whisper was awesome and I want more like that so Bungie please prove to me you can do it again.

1 RespuestaEditado por Scorpius XX1: 8/4/2018 10:20:33 AMA game shouldn't be work. I disagree with the idea that it should. Games should be fun, that's kinda the point. That being said, I don't mind the grind for this armor...On one character, three is asking a lot. Especially when one considers, and correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not 100% positive of this. ) that for three toons of different classes obviously, one is looking at 30 campaign missions, ten per character, per armor set, Titan, Hunter, Warlock. And these were not exactly considered to be '' Fun '' missions to begin with. Almost everyone hated the Red Legion campaign. And excuse me, but throwing six billion servitors into one mission is not exactly '' Changing it up." So I'll earn my armor, whatever. But they wen't overboard here. And I think that's a fair opinion. Just because someone shares it doesn't mean they want video game handouts. Some of this is subjective sure, but if a player feels their time investment is not being respected via reward, they have a right to feel that way, and they have a right to voice it. Please stop jumping to conclusions, ( Not the OP I mean generally.) and painting players as lazy and looking for an easy ride every time they log in. Yes games should be challenging at times, but they also need to be fun. They can be both, and they should. And it's also fair to point out that with this event there is really nothing new here. It's basically playing the entire game over again as was for new armor. That's a perfectly fair point.

1 RespuestaI love fun meaningful grind but this armor set isn't nothing but a way to inflate their numbers. They give you the most boring tasks, I mean adventures are super boring in my opinion. And also the whisper on the weekend hmm another thing to bump up their online player count on the weekend.
-
The raids are not great to do.
-
The amount of grinding that bungie has infused in to this game could only please mind numbed robots.
-
Solstice of Heroes is boring and a waste of time.
-
The crucible requirements don't seem overly ridiculous, and even though I despise this PvP I'm fine with doing the required work for this armor. And as an old school RPG player, I know all about walking in the same circle (or umm, square) for hours and hours, grinding XP or that required amount of battles for my equipment to evolve. But something seems kind of tacky about the 'grind' in this event. Overall, I love the redux missions, but the knowledge that if I want the 400 armor for all 3 characters, I'll be playing these same 5 missions a total of 21 times. That doesn't seem like a very fun grind to me. I understand why no DLC content was used as a redux but there were more missions and adventures from Vanilla that could have taken the place of multiple runs on the same missions.
-
I’ve finished on one character and have completed all triumphs. With the exception being Crucible and the broken ass matchmaking I don’t have issue with the grind.
-
Im enjoying the grind. Its giving me something to shoot for and i can track my progress. I dont want to do the pvp but ill do it for this nice gear, and when im done i can go back to pve.

2 RespuestasI just want RR again I’m so tired of “forced” -blam!-ing rolls making 80% of the guns in this game worthless
