Apparently to Bungie mass deletion of shaders means you can braek five at a time.

6 RespuestasIt has to do with the engine. It simply can’t handle giving out that many rewards. When you dismantle something that gives a reward it taxes the system. Now imagine you dismantle 100x shaders x however many guardians. The game would break. It would seem the workaround they found was to turn shaders into a “turn in” item like tokens. Though why only 5 and not 10 like tokens is odd. And calling it mass shader deletion when they should have called it something is I can agree is a bit of a lie. But don’t be mad at them for finding a workaround. Be mad at them for: 1. Making the shaders consumable in the first place 2. Not making or redesigning a better engine

17 Respuestas& anybody that paid attention when Bungie talked about mass deletion knows exactly why they're doing it the way they are.
-
18 RespuestasThis is something worth bitching about? Seriously? Geez some of you are ridiculous.
-
That’s 5 times as fast, sounds good to me
-
How are you doing 5 at a time? Do they need to be in the vault?
-
Dude, deleting shaders is a feature along with dismantling useless armor and guns. I think I spent more time doing that than actually shooting aliens.
-
Wait a minute! I thought deleting useless crap was the game?!?
-
This is a greed created problem. If they didnt turn shaders into items to stuff lootboxes we wouldnt be i this situation to begin with.
-
They'll make them drop 5times more often :p
-
4 RespuestasThey just need to make shaders collectables again..

there is a reason for that. The reason is that Bungie Programmed Destiny to give varying rewards for Bright Dust. If you break down 100 shaders into Bright Dust, the game cannot run the RNG code to give you 6 or 7 or 10 or 3, individually, so instead, it will give you 5X whatever number the the RNG tells it to. Bungie does not want people figuring out the algorithm is tied to the animation cycles or the things the NPC's say, or you could figure out that When Tess mentions joining the battle, you are on RNG #F17C, which will give you 10 bright dust per shader, but when she says it will take more than a Cabala Invasion, that you are on #A22A, which will give you 3 Bright Dust. If that were to occur, and people simply stand around in the tower for 3 hours to dismantle hundreds of shaders when Tess says something specific, and get 10 Bright Dust X 400 stack, and end up with the best possible result, they can't make money off of selling you bright dust to get that Exotic Emote you want, that She is selling.

Well, technically that is a mass deletion. Five is greater than one. Shaders deletion needs to be throttled. If you had say 300 legendary shaders you wanted to delete, you would probably max out your shards and glimmer if you deleted them all at once. Then there would be bitching that people didn't want to delete 200 of them and loose 600 shards. They would only want to delete up to a certain point. When mass deletion was announced, they never specified a quantity shaders. Only that mass deletion was coming. So it wasn't a lie. A lie would be if they announced you could delete all shaders of the same type, or 25 shaders at a time. The reason they didn't specify 5 was because they were still finalizing the number. From a PR perspective it is better to say you're getting something and then provide the details latter. While I think 5 is a bit low, 25 would be better I can at last understand why it's pinned at 5 and realize that they only promise was the ability to delete more than one at a time.
-
I'm pretty sure they are making it spammable though.. Not "hold to delete".. Kinda like material exchange at the speaker in d1
-
I'd be ok with mass deleting shaders without rewards. I got 4000 shaders to delete. I just gave up deleting the garbage shaders cuz no matter how many hundreds I delete I get hundreds upon hundreds more of them. )':

Well when all the cucks at bungie play soggy biscuit all day, of course the ideas they come up with are going to basically be useless as a wet fart in church on easter sunday.
-
8 RespuestasThey already said the “mass deletion” system wasn’t working properly. So, would you rather have a malfunctioning system, or a slightly better system than what we have? Some of you are absolutely ridiculous.
-
1 RespuestaStill better than 1 at a time so who cares? Plus it’s your own fault really, I saw this coming straight away and I deleted as I went a long, while waiting for my fireteam-while flying into the tower-while waiting for someone on my team to get a drink-while waiting for a blight public event etc etc now I have around 5-10 of my favourites and that’s it. I’ve even started saving a few now just so I can use the multi delete function when it arrives.
-
And at the Cryptarch... really?
-
I appreciate their effort, but they should've just reverted them to non-consumable, instead of trying to implement a system that's probably not compatible with their game engine.
-
It’s BULK deletion
-
If that is true, bungie are stupider than I thought. Why would they put stupid limits on deletion. At a minimum allow us select the option of either setting the number we want to delete or delete all.
-
4 RespuestasYou clearly have no clue how game code works at all. Breaking down 500 shaders at once would literally break the game.
-
= anything out of Bungie’s mouth.....🤗

5 RespuestasSource?
-
I have this insane idea... Why not delete the shaders as you get them?
-
Meh, if it was possible to delete the entire stack, then people would be complaining about deleting the wrong stack. Again, people will complain about anything and everything.
