They wanted to make raid completion special. That should have done that through gear and wespons. Instead they've unbalanced the public space and put the hardest activity there.
That should have done that through gear and wespons
That's the problem. THEY CAN'T. With the fixed rolls, and the watered-down gear perks system....there is NO WAY the game can make weapons that are more interesting and more powerful than what in the game already (the price of selling out completely to "competitive balance" in PVP...you BREAK the PVE end game....and the power progression players expect). Bungie made the rookie mistake (baseball analogy) of bobbling a ground ball as an infielder....and instead of just eating the ball and accepting the error (and giving up one base to the runner.) They rushed a throw to first.....threw the ball away....and now have turned a "one-base error" into a two-or-three base one. They should have just accepted that player numbers would drop off again, and lay the groundwork for them coming back in the fall. But this move is going to really piss off the more casual/average player base that has continued to support the game, while many of the "hardcore" left.

You know what really sucks though? There's ZERO reason for us to wait a year for random rolls. There's exactly one -blam!-ing reason it's coming in September. To sell dlc. That's it. What an odd coincidence all the important changes hot pushed to the dlc.
-
Disagree. They had to completely rebuild several major game systems, quality test them, and re-balance the game around them. You can either have something done fast, or you can have it done right. Epic (Fortnite) and Massive (The Division pre-patch 1.4) focusedcon doing thing fast. And often just succeeded in -blam!-ing up their games even worse.

Raid completion is already special, considering that only 16% of the people has completed the raid,at least on xbox.

It’s really not that hard content at all once you’re over 380. We 6 manned it no problem last nite repeatedly farming lv 7 boss for weapons . Now we had 4 warlocks all 385 and 2 hunters over 380 and had no issues at all. We farmed it for an hour or so and got 7 completions so not the hardest content imo. If ur not in an active clan then just be patient til the rest of the community starts getting closer to max light. When that happens it’ll be more accessible for everyone
-
But don't you see how silly that is? If the content is ONLY hard because of an artificial leveling wall then it's just a bullshit treadmill. If this activity simply had multiple power level versions everyone is happy. Yet again simply terrible design.
-
Thanks for highlighting the issue. According to bungie this will be around September right before the new expansion drops. I don't think anyone is denying the playability at max light.

Are u in a clan..? If not ur more than welcome to check mine out, it’s very active and we raid and do EP daily and help new guys thru all the endgame activities . Lemme kno if ur looking , it’ll make ur in game experience much more fun trust me , good group of guys and gals.. The Solar Syndicate

I lead a clan. Started in D1. Expanded in D2. Everyone wanted clan engrams and then went in active. I've recently cleared most inactive out in prep to try and recruit some more. Been really busy so I haven't had the time lately. We are just short of a raid team during the times everyone is on. Thanks for the offer.

Editado por Drew5150: 6/5/2018 4:20:40 PMRight on man, I'll send you a friends request tonight. Maybe catch some games with you sometime. 👍👍

Sounds good brother, we grind EP every nite for a few hours so ya hit me up soon.
-
That's my overall point and so many people are just missing it. Why is the endgame in the patrol public space? I don't care that EP is endgame, I like it that way. It's just where they put it. Why not make it a node for people to choose, or a 3 man activity with matchmaking? All they really did is create a scenario for people to cheese it massively and to make trying it as an actual public event almost impossible.
-
Because they want to allow people to jump in...not que up. Quitcherbitching. If you complaint is "oh no I have to go to Mars", that's not a valid complaint.
-
Really? That design decision is an abject failure. It's a mode that's already dead. It's not even all that cool and it's lazily plopped in the patrol zone for zero reason. If the intention was for people to be able to just pop in and play it's failed. Because there are literally never more than MAX 2 people in a patrol zone any time i go to mars.
-
Just stop, your lack of intelligence is gleaming right now. You just completely validated my point and then told me to quit bitching. How can people just "jump in" if they made the LL progression too slow for the casuals out on patrol?
