I bought the ghost yesterday and didn't spend a single penny. If you stopped whining and played the game you could do the same.

I probably play the game a lot more than you lol. That said ill voice my opinion if i feel something is wrong. The people today who started gaming during the lootbox era dont see the current situation as a issue, but the rest of us that have been gaming from before this era know the difference and its night and day. Its a shame todays gamers just dont get this

I've gamed forever, and believe that EverVerse is fine when it comes to how much they sell items for (it wouldn't be a grind if it was quick and easy). My only issue with EV is that I believe everything except shaders and emotes should be part of the loot pool. There are bigger issues in this game besides EV. Think about this...if Bungie made it easy to acquire Dawning loot, majority of the "Remove EverVerse" complainers would have grinded the first week to acquire everything, then be here complaining that there's not enough to do. The community's idea of a successful event is loot that's obtainable "easily" (keyword) in the span of limited time, but not something that can be obtained too quickly. The "community" doesn't know what it wants, and nothing will please everyone. Bungie will never be successful listening to this community.

I get that. And if stuff stayed in game it wouldn't be half as bad. But they don't. No amount of grinding can guarantee me that I'll get the item. For example since session 2 started I've averaged at 10-12 engrams per week. I'm looking for say a emote. By now I've opened 40-50 engrams. No show. If it's not placed in the dust purchase slot then I'll have to keep hoping rng favours me. Then Congress announcement of season 3 and the item I grinded for is now slipping away. After 100 engrams still no show. Now it's eve of season 3 and the only option left of I really want it is to spend money. And if it had a set value then fine but I could spend £200 and still not have it. Then an hour later all that grind I put in was for nothing as that item is gone forever. How is that a justified grind? It's not.

Loot boxes? Just what is so special that Eververse has that's better than anything in the game? Nothing sold is giving an advantage over anything else. If you don't want to spend money then don't. I started playing video games with Pong

This was standard stuff that was inherent within the game in Destiny 1. Not paid for. I already paid for the game, i already paid for the DLC, why should 50% of the in game content i already paid for be locked behind a paywall? How can you even defend this action? They actively removed all our work from D1 by destroying the tower and cant even create anything original and are now giving us back D1 weapons. Mida, jade Rabbit, Stag, Saint 14 helm, and so forth. Even Mayham being touted as new content when its not. They literally are drop feeding evrything back in terms of content and then anything that actually nice and shiny that was previously earned in a raid, or nightfall or so forth is now only available in a cash shop and this is OK with you? Then i have no more words for you my friend and i wish you a good day :)

Please explain to me how it's locked behind a paywall. As I said I bought the exotic ghost yesterday without spending a penny. This is Destiny 2 a continuance of D1. The story is changing, moving on. People complained about losing weapons and armor so Bungie brought some back and now people complain about that. What is this cash shop you speak of? I have not spent one penny on silver. I bought an exotic ghost and some armor with bright dust.

You just said it yourself bud. You bought an exotic ghost. You didn't earn it. That right there is the number one problem.
-
I’d say if he played the game to get the bright dust needed for said ghost shell, he earned it
-
No, he earned the random items he got, not the item he bought. cause it was bought not earned. THere is a difference there but alas. Opinions differ and this is one we won't see eye to eye so I'm happy to agree to disagree and call it there :) No harm was done, I'm happy to have a healthy debate finally here. Differing opinions are good and from what I could see this person wasn't trolling but was genuinely sincere about their beliefs so ill respect that.
