Is Nocris the "Queen" Eris is talking to after you kill Oryx?
Not much of a lore guy, but this struck me as I was playing through Regicide for funsies today. Ghost doesn't recognize Nocris statue (was she left out of Hive legend on purpose). Just wondered if it DID turn out Eris was working for her, they might be using us to take out Oryx so she, Nocris, can ascend the empty throne? Like I said, not a lore guy, so I could be way off, but I figured someone on here would know. Thanks!
EDIT: so, after doing some more research, it appears that the most likely identity of Nokris is that of Crota's brother. The theory is that we or the world's grave doesn't have anything about him because he was lost in time, like Praedyth, when Oryx let the Vex through the portal. My theory is, that since the Vex we're looking for an emperor or all outcomes, that there is a good chance Nokris is out there somewhere...or sometime, and possibly now a high leader or figure in the Vex heirarchy; think, huge Hive with Vex tech and limbs. Seems like a definite possibility!

She's half-hive with split personality and mental illness, so she was speaking to maybe the hive Queen, or maybe she was speaking to herself... only Bungie knows what's on her mind. Maybe she decided to become the hive Queen, or always was, that's why she was the first who appeared on Dreadnought afted we slained Oryx. She failed Oryx and now she's not going to fail hive expansion anymore.

5 RespuestasEris was talking about Mara sov. You can tell that before eris got twisted by darkness in the pit that she was awoken and served Mara sov. There is no piece of text that says this directly but if you pay attention to the way they speak it is a direct match to each other. Mara sov in the first cut scene of the taken king said that they awoken are done in this fight and what happened was all part of the plan. A plan in which Eris felt coming after crota died but instead of going to the vanguard or speaker, she turned to her old queen, Mara Sov.

7 RespuestasThe Queen Eris refers to is Mara Sov the Awoken Queen, as u can tell by the capital "Q" and the fact that several grimoires describe Eris dealing and planning with the Queen We know absolutely nothing about Nokris except that Nokris is Ascendant. It is actually more likely than any other option that Nokris is Oryx's father, but there is a small (VERY small) possibility that Nokris is the mate Oryx had his children with

4 RespuestasFirst off, by the rings do some research. Second, am I the ONLY ONE who thinks that Nokris is Oryx's dad? I mean, it makes sense! No mention in the World's Grave, no weird Vex stuff (because the Vex can't simulate the full power of the Hive), AND there would be a reason why Oryx would put his statue close to the throne, I mean... his dad was the one of the primary reasons the Hive exist.

Mara Sov is the one she's talking about. Some grimoire cards indicate that a meeting between the Queen, Osiris and Eris happened to prepare for Oryx. That's why Mara Sov says this is all part of the plan after they destroy most of the Hive fleet of Oryx
