I've recently just got done leveling up my Titan, and as a Hunter main, I am loving my Titan! But a thought occurred to me, I know very little about Titans and what build fits them the most. So, I'm kindly asking my fellow Titan guardians, what's a good build for a Titan?
Edit: btw, feel free to give weapons that pair up nicely with the build. You may chose to either post a PvE build, PvP build, or a build that just works for both categories.
btw, please no juggernaut-shotgun builds. I would never inflict that kind of pain on my fellow guardians.
A Titan sunbreaker is my main setup. It's mostly built to get the most out of my ability kills. Cauterize will start regenerating your health while fleetfire increase movement and reload speed. Both activate on ability kills. Melting point is for me the most useful melee ability and fusion grenades can do very well if you can throw them. For the hammer of sol, I just get more hammers. The others make almost no changes so your better having extra hammers to throw. Finally I highly recommend twilight garrison for better mobility. This is in my opinion the best sunbreaker exotic and will help you a lot when throwing hammers at your opponent. The stats and jump is your own preference.

Editado por TFL Washington: 11/14/2016 3:15:34 AMWell I main a Sunbreaker so I use: Incendiary grenades Increased Control Forgemaster Thermal Vent Titan Codex I and IV Explosive Pyre (Or if I'm using Immolation Fists I'll switch the perk to Flameseeker.) Cauterize This build works very well for me. I love my Sunbreaker. And as for weapons I kinda just use whatever I'm in the mood for but lately it's been the vendor Palindrome and Event Horizon. I don't know why but this weapon combo seems to work very well with my subclass build, at least for me. As for Striker: Lightning grenades Increased Control Shockwave Amplify Titan Codex I and IV Transfusion And yes, Juggernaut I realize you said "No Juggernaut/shotgun builds" but Juggernaut is the best passive ability in that tree and the best for Strikers right now. You shouldn't intentionally hurt your gameplay just to try and hold some sort of "moral standard" in a video game. Seriously, if someone takes it that personally that they send you hate mail for using it than just ignore it or block them. Most people will either get annoyed but move on 5 minutes after the game is over or just won't care if you use it. Again, you shouldn't intentionally hurt your gameplay. Now if you are still set against Juggernaut, then I highly advise choosing Unstoppable and against ever choosing Shoulder Charge. It's not the god ability people made it out to be and even before the nerf it wasn't. It's basically feeding the enemy team kills if you use it so I'd advise against it. As for what exotic and weapons, I use Armamentarium for double Lightning grenades. I still stick with the Palindrome but now I use a Matador 64. Titans, and mainly Strikers, are a CQC focused class and can excel when fighting there. As for Defender: Suppressor grenades Increased Control WoL/BoL/AoL (All are good choices and I switch them around constantly.) War Machine Titan Codex I and IV Bastion Untouchable or Illuminated As for weapons, again the Palindrome is my primary. For a special I alternate depending on what perk I'm using on my super. If it's WoL then I use my Event Horizon. If it's BoL or AoL I use my Matador 64. As for an exotic well NBP are good if you're going to use a shotgun but otherwise don't use them if you aren't using a shotgun. Armamentarium is good for the double Suppressors as well. Of course Helm of St. 14 too. Now for all subclass I can recommend the Twilight Garrison but that can be a little tricky to get the hang of. If you're going to use it I'd suggest going into patrol and skate around and use it there for a little while until you get the hang of it. And another big thing, don't forget to use it once you're in a match. There have been times where I'll go an entire match without using it simply because I forgot about it even though there were times it would have saved my life.

1 RespuestaI mained a Hunter for first year, all theee classes. Then built my Titans. Currently building a Voidwalker and Sunsinger next. My Titan is still my favorite because I just like grenades A LOT. Fast nades + Titan skate= fun. All three Titan sub- classes work great in PVP and PVE. You just need to know which one will best suit the game type/map or strike/raid for your play style. I primarily run and have an Armamanterium for each subclass to give additional armor. Run max discipline always for quick grenades. Gauntlets to increase throwing distance and reload your favorite weapon of choice. As far as max Intellect or strength or blend of those two is also game/map and play style dependent. I constantly switch those two up to match scenario. Sunbreaker with simmering flames (even faster nades), and melting point is a solid all a rounder for both PVP PVE. Striker with lightning nades to choke control points and bust up hoardes/bosses or flashbang nades when opposing teams like to stick together. Nothing like blinding them then sliding in with quick charge fusion/shorty and melee for multiple quick kills. Defender run Disc/strength to keep force Barrier up for additional overshield. Super will charge fast enough. Supression grenades are a hidden gem to give your team an edge in PVP. Sunbreaker or Defender attachable grenades stuck to sliding shotgunners or other charging opponents while jumping back avoiding their blast and watching them pop is fun. I like fusions, but if your a shotty guy NBP and Defender with force barrier is a beast.

1 RespuestaDon't do it!!! I was a Hunter main until I made a Titan. Then that bastard slowly took control... Now he's all I can play with, but don't tell him I said anything or he'll hurt me again. Oh shit!!! Here he comes! Get hel... Don't mind what I said earlier. Titans are the coolest... The...coolest.

Use thermite grenades for PVE when using sunbreaker. Although they are not that good in PVP you can do some serious damage over a long area with thermites.

Defender Build: Infinite Shields! Monte Carlo (exotic primary) Shotgun (of your choice with performance bonus or rescue mag perk) No Back Up Plans (exotic gauntlets) Tier 5 Strength Build You get Force Barrier energy from hits (by chance) with the Monte Carlo. Performance bonus or rescue mag get you more shotgun shells. No Back Up Plans gives you force barrier on shotgun kill. Extremely fun for both PvE and PvP!

Oh! Get a Defender with Iron Harvest. Then farm for "The Silvered Dread" in the Iron Banner until you get one with Field Scout. Paired with boots, you can get 60 Rounds in the Crucible, and carry over 180 rounds. Orbs for days

Editado por Coreycrawford50: 11/13/2016 1:22:56 PMFor defender Matador+no Backup plans+increased force barrier duration+mayhem gamemode+the artifact that gives you two melees=win

Strength is not as useful as you would think unless going for certain builds. I typically run 5/5/2 and push my Armor. While in dedicated RPG's the differences between Armor and other perks are more varied and interesting, this game is casual af. Want to be your best? Push your Armor to the max.

I've been a Titan for 3 years and I'm still experimenting with different things lol. I'll get there

2 RespuestasSince I primarily play this game for the PvE, that will be my focus in this post. Armamentarium and max disc with well timed flash bangs will save more teammates than a defender titan ever could with Ward. I 3 manned VoG hard at LL 28 in vanilla using this build. Very underrated. It's great for taking out the captains on Aksis. FoH kills in one hit with Shockwave and you can blind them beforehand to reduce the odds of dying to them as to run in. Gift of the Void and Iron Harvest make Defender a ridiculous orb machine for PvE. Dancing in and out of your Ward will help ensure shots are hitting your Ward, creating more orbs for your team. For Sunbreaker, running max str using Melting Point and Simmering Flames is also a fantastic damage boost for you and your team against bosses. It gives the best damage buff in the game. Combine that with Skullfort or Thagomizers for the extra melee charge and you can keep that buff up almost indefinitely as long as you have super. One important note is the buff from Melting Point will NOT stack with Weapons of Light or Shadow Shot. Shadow Shot actually overwrites Melting Point, so be sure to communicate with any Nightstalkers in your group to avoid buff overlap. These are the builds I prefer to run because for me, they're a little less cookie cutter than most of the preferred titan builds out there. Changes up the game a bit and I really enjoy them.

1. Are you PvE? Or PvP? 2. Is there a subclass you prefer? 3. How do you like to fight? Close in? At a distance? 4. Do you fight alone, or are you a team player? 5. What exotics do you have access to?
-
It all depends on your situation really. Like the other two classes, Titans can fill many roles. I like to play Defender in raids, Striker in PvP, and Sunbreaker when I patrol or do Archons forge. Some weapons have good synergy with certain builds, gear, and perks. It all really boils down to how you enjoy to play the game though.

Monte, any shotty, no backup plans, defender, armor of light. I love this build. Nots the worse thing and it's effective at times. Or good Ol sunbreaker

Probably the most fun setup I've had in this game.

Forgemaster, fleet fire, cauterize. My fav build

1 RespuestaWas about to suggest jugg striker titan then I read the spoiler. Have fun with a second tier build bud.
-
1 RespuestaI assume you're talking pvp? Clarification would be helpful regardless

4 RespuestasFor PVP there are a couple different options. Want to try something fun? Throw the Felwinter artifact on and use mafnetic grenades and force barrier like mad. The bubble is almost useless in PVP so there is little loss, and tons of gain. Go for armor and agility with this build. For exotics, TG, Dune Marchers, and No Back Up plans all offer an interesting way to play. I admit, I am only average on a good day in PVP, however I ha e had success with these loadouts, and had a good time with them. I am sure a skilled player would agree that they are least viable builds lol.

Armamentarium, dune marchers, or twilight garrison.
-
If you're using sunbreaker, use suncharge. Thank me later.

Um I think you need a pew pew thing a boom boom thing and a butt guard thing and um a
thing that holds your crap
. MLG

the only important thing at all to put on titans in increased control for the jump, learn to Titan skate and you'll do great. I would also highly recommend flashbang grenades on striker for 3v3, and if you feel like it 6v6 as well (as I usually do) I run NLB shotty most of the time so this flashbangs help me close gaps a lot better, or take me off their radar to get to a better position. But what I very highly recommend is increased control, other nodes are mostly personal preference. Also, don't underestimate suppressor based on defender (I love me some bouncy nades, incendiaries too)

Defender titan with magnet grenade and armamentarium. Also max discipline.
