Literally have no idea why people are complaining about the forge. Yes. It's often empty. So? Just keep going back and forth between areas. I'm a solo player. Never had any trouble with the Forge. I only get what I expect from it. Most of the time it's empty, but I just need to go further down near Site 6 then come back up. If no ones there, try again. Fireteam isn't required.

I've also noticed that if you start playing solo then they will matchmake people into your instance. I've never run more than 2 and still had an empty room.

If you drop down into site 6 is there no other way back up other than going to orbit?

No, there's a little ledge you can jump up to in order to return to The Warrens.

I have actually started it lately by walking slowly into the Forge.

That's the secret. I always find 3-4 people in the forge
