Tripmines definitely got pretty much killed when they got nerfed. They are the only sticky grenade that had any real skill to getting a stick with them, now I'm not saying that they were hard to use either so don't take that the wrong way. What I mean is that compared to the other stickies that magnetize to targets they are harder to use. All of the other grenades can also kill the target no problem so why shouldn't the Tripmines. And if the argument is that they can lay in wait why not just decrease the damage a little farther when they are used as a trap. They currently leave the target with maybe 10% health, maybe bump that to 25% and undo all the sticky nonsense you did. I main a Titan so I don't have a whole lot of love for my Hunter brethren but you guys overdid it with the Tripmines nerf.

1 RespuestaMaybe if you like sticking grenades use a flux grenade... Just saying...
-
If sticking was a probelem.. what ever. But they should buff the damage to what it used to be

Editado por Original Shuggy: 9/9/2016 4:16:06 AMTrip mines had no tracking assist, they had no damage boost when sticked so why nerf them? That makes no sense. And your right it does take actual skill to get them to stick on people. Unlike fusion grenades that track them when you threw it 1-3 inches away.
-
They need to have the explosion radius as the titans lighting grenade. Then see how titans like it.
-
Lol it's funny they STICK to walls but not players... They are built to be sticky! I know lightning grenades stick too and it would be op to stick to everything but it sticks to walls it doesn't make sense it knows the difference lol just a playful thought not meant to be judged out taken serious. P.s. I do agree though the damage nerf was bs and I unfathomably loved the sticky feature now gunslinger is less of a choice for me :( lol
-
I've been a Titan main since the game can out and don't really use my hunter as much but I totally agree hunters got screwed.
-
They should be sticky again
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/212501121/0/0
1 RespuestaSo now hunters dont have a OHK grenade like the other classes. Thats bs. And most of the time when a person threw a tripmine in panic or it stuck they would kill themselves with spash and give the attacker the kill so was it really op?
-
3 Respuestas"well go use another subclass" no i want to use gunslinger and be able to get my sticky bounty down. Seriously tho why complain about the sticky if it even killed the thrower half the time lol.

14 RespuestasEditado por Ankokuseibutsu: 9/5/2016 11:43:24 PMThat's the thing... Tripmines were intended as zoning tools not stickies. You can't have the best of both worlds. The panic stick with the trip is over. You already have knives which are pretty deadly to deal with shotgunners. You can't have a OHK stick as well. Sorry. MLG probably required certain crutches be taken away in order for destiny to be a fair esport. Makes perfect sense to me. Training wheels are off now, don't be angry if your bicycle falls over. You have more than enough utilities to keep yourself afloat. Incendiary nades aren't that bad, try another load out, or simply learn angles to stick them to walls as you fight an opponent as they were intended. It can only help your game to learn better nade placement angles. I hope the future of destiny has more angular nades that require forethought and less instakills like the original arc bolt/firebolts type spammy nades of year one. Also they lowered the stickiness of fusions and magnetics and if someone runs them most times it affects the way they push and pull and setup angles of attack similar to a shotgunner. I have no salt towards stickies, it's just another way to play. But again, having a stickie and a potential mine that can kill and protect you as you run away is clearly unfair.

I think they should never have been able to stick to enemies but the damage should be an instant kill.

Okay. Here is the problem. Tripmine sure meant to be traps. They aren't meant to be sticky that if you missed well then it is a trap which gives you a second chance to get a kill. Keep the no stick nerf but revert the damage. I will admit it was fun making my enemies unicorns for that one moment. Before they exploded.

Buff tripmine detonation

8 RespuestasEditado por TH3N0RS3F0RC3: 9/7/2016 6:03:52 PMcuz they're mines ... not sticky grenades? it's not meant to stick to guardians
-
Well the reason it doesn't have magnetism is because the sticking ability was an after thought. It's primary use is to cover your 6. Damage nerf wasn't needed though.
-
quicker activation and original damage, im fine with em not sticking to people anymore just let me kill people more reliably(i know i cant spell)
-
Editado por windgardiaun: 9/7/2016 5:16:01 AMim fine with them not sticking but make the activate quicker

3 RespuestasEditado por Mars3099: 9/7/2016 10:06:57 PMOk so if I am reading this correctly You want to turn tripmines into sticky grenades.... Just use a sticky grenade In your post your are quite literally putting the value of getting a stick with them far higher than actually using them as mines I agree that they should be able to stick again but with a trade-off of a 25% damage fall off? At that point you might as well use a knife after all you have two of them. These grenades were meant to be mines that's why bungie nerfed their ability to stick to enemies If you want a sticky that badly then use another subclass

2 RespuestasThis is a joke post right.

Trip mines need a buff back to before they were nerfed in iron banner I shot three people with Mida one three times one twice and the other once before they picked up the heavy which I placed a trip mine under guest what none of them died it's blaming stupid you can't even use them as a trap cuase you if to pick up after them meaning most people just walk it off.
-
4 RespuestasSure...but then I want stick lightning grenades. turning an anemy into an electric unicorn of death is a favorable idea to me.
-
Just let them stick again. The things now do strange things all around.
-
Maybe
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/212501121/0/0
I think trip mines should still stick, but that's just me... kinda takes the fun out of them. However, I do understand why they decided not to let them stick. It's kind of unfair because they were so much easier to use when you could just throw them and would easily stick to a target. I understand, I just wish they could have remained the same.
-
I think they shouldn't stick but they should do more damage
