Destiny requires premium Internet. It says so on the back of the case. Follow the rules or enjoy your strikes.

Please. Your Internet doesn't need to be nearly as good with dedicated servers. But, since Bungie wants to be cheap ass mother f*ckers and use p2p so that my console can host a match, now lag is a problem. Whatever. Imo bungie can't penalize a player based on connection until they enter the 21st century and use dedicated servers like Battlefield, overwatch, and a ton of other games do. Games that... surprisingly... doesn't have nearly as much lag issues. Who would have thought that if a developer spends some money and uses servers to host a match rather than my f*cking game console, performance would be improved? What a concept.
-
What? You still have to have a good connection with dedicated servers. Why do people think that desicated servers would fix everything? You may want to research how dedicated servers and connections work.

Editado por Sanctus Michael: 7/12/2016 6:27:37 PM
Your Internet doesn't need to be nearly as good with dedicated servers.
"Nearly as good". It's a comparison. The dowload/upload requirements for a dedicated server is much less than a p2p architecture. You need to read a little more carefully. I was at full ping strength with no lag on Dice's Battlefield servers with 6mb download speed. So please. If you think there isn't a difference than continuing this conversation is a waste of time. On a dedicated server my Internet is only responsible for me. One a p2p host, my console has to host the match, with 5-11 other players, coordinate the information flow between all of them, and do it all on my Internet speed. So don't even try to make it sound like dedicated servers wouldn't make a difference. Dedicated servers allows me to play on region based servers, I can see the map rotation, the players on it, my connection to that server, the game modes, and more. So, dude, don't even try to say dedicated servers ain't a night and day difference from this shit. Dedicated servers can allow smooth pvp game play with 64 players and a ridiculously larger map than anything destiny has. Let's see p2p do that.

Your up and down requirements for P2P can work at 1u/1d... Your ping rate matters more than speeds in P2P games. Also, the way that Bungie's system is setup, it couldn't support dedicated servers. You can change your router settings, and your internet settings on your system to combat poor connections. I rarely go above a 10 ping, and have no issues in PvP. My buddy has twice the speeds that I do, but his ping is atrocious. He has issues all of the time in PvP.

That is irrelevant. Look at the most recent games on his warlock. Several trials wins with less than 5 rounds won. He, or someone on his team cheated.

1 up 1 down is required for destiny.
-
It actually doesnt
-
A sufficiently robust wifi connection is required. It's in the small print.
-
I have the box in my hand, it says no such thing in the small print. All it says is a broadband connection is required, it does not define what that means nor does it state any minimum requirements, the term suitably robust is not in the small print. You are miss remembering what you read in the box, its that simple.
-
No it doesn't, I have the box in my hand, All it states is a broadband connection is required, the is no mention of reasonable speed, nor does it give any minimum speeds required. Stick to shaping rocks and playing giant tetris, youbring on this one.
-
http://imgur.com/ENPnSqQ I'm making it up? Clearly says robust wifi to me.
-
Thank you for the confirmation <3
-
http://imgur.com/ENPnSqQ Here's your confirmation. Back of the case, second line. Sufficiently robust wifi may be required.
inb4 shopped
Don't get too excited, while you are right about that point, you should remember that Bungie reserve the right to restrict or remove your access to online play at anytime. I think they are correct to restrict your play, as you are having a negative impact on other players, it is their right to do do and I agree with them. I just don't like people making up small print that doesn't exist.
-
Yea i dont care about that, never been banned for it, never had red bar.
-
Read the fine print. It says sufficiently robust wifi required. I'm the idiot, and yet you people can't read..... pour on the irony.
-
Nope, wrong again lol
-
Have you thought that maybe both of you are correct? So maybe the taken King version says it and the original doesn't or vice versa. Or even the difference between Xbox and PlayStation. Instead of both of you insulting and disrespecting each other.
-
Both back cases are indentical copy prints to prevent loop holes in legal claims over any trademarks listed in the text.
-
Ignorant. I'll get a pic for you when I'm home from work then sweetie.
-
Lol says the kid making up false requirements on a game case that everyone owns. Hurry up and finish flippin those mcdonalds paddies and get home so you can realize how dumb you are.
-
on the back of the Xbox One case it says broadband connection required. that would indicate a better than normal connection required. that means no WiFi, hot spots or low bandwidth connections.
-
Broadband internet is all Internet btw lol
-
dial up isn't broadband. broadband is defined as high speed internet. so if your connection isn't fast enough, then it may not be considered broadband. i found an article about the FCC revising the speed definition of broadband, its the second link. but yeah it seems as i was a bit wrong. It also doesnt exist anymore lol
