Yes certain things are questionable like the Trip mine nerf and Throwing knives....
but I think most of us can agree that the balance changes remove a lot of the bullshit from PvP engagements.
Nobody likes dying to Firebolts. Nobody wants to play opponents that spam Shadestep. Nobody wants Shadowshot to feel like a limp noodle every time they use it.
Overall the changes are pretty damn good from Bungie

6 RespuestasPeople are really at Bungie's mercy saying that this is a great adjustment period. Its scary. It's an unnecessary nerf for God sakes!! This tuning seems like it was an overnight process the way it was presented. Bungie at least gives us a couple weeks notice normally. And them saying things in the notes like "to make it less frustrating for other players, we are changing...." really stirs a bad taste in the communities mouth. Bungie really didn't listen to the community making these changes, but once again gets stats off of a spreadsheet and makes changes without them actually experimenting with them to know how it affects the synergy..I never posted in the forums with a complaint, but this latest act is just unbearable. It could have at least waited until the DLC came out.

This video was a waste of time, but it ok because the update is "Good"
-
I don't need to watch a video to know that this update was a good one. Hunters just can't help but bitch. It's in their nature, apparently.
-
3 RespuestasLike a limp noodle? Lol okay pal, I guess you've never been on the receiving end of one.
-
-blam!- these guys, I agree I don't get the throwing knife nerf but other then that everything seems pretty decent.
-
What I would love to no is how can they nerf the Hunter melee but the warlock melee has been untouched like come on that shit is op as hell am sick of popping a supper getting round the corner and getting one hit melee

5 RespuestasIf the ratio of buffs to nerfs is greater than a ratio of 1:1 (say it is 1:1.4) globally at a consistent basis, especially when dealing with weapons, there is a "heat-death" situation that begins to persist the longer this goes on. Essentially, there is a cycle of nerfing, with things becoming less and less powerful - this cannot logically continue on, and ultimately gameplay will continue to become staler/slower. Mtashed, surely you see this, even SirDimitrious does.
-
Also just curious do people like being constantly hard scope killed? See I hear that bothers players not you though? How about no land beyond body shot side arm kills do people enjoy those type engagements in pvp there old wise one? Never mind you are likely just pimping video views carry on.

All great changes to the June update.

3 RespuestasYes but the screwing over of viking funeral was not necessary now I physically can't kill anybody with anything but a fusion grenade
-
4 Respuestasif you are wondering about the throwing knife and tripmine nerf well here is my opinion the tripmine was meant to keep you safe and to block of a position but people used it as an offensive weapon so bungie decided to take away that offensive skill because there was already a grenade that is used for that the throwing knife was probably due to hand cannons now what you would of done with a hand cannon was to shoot some one head shot or body shot and then to throw the knife which is basically a 2 shot kill which as you should know bungie dont like
-
I agree with most of this
-
Truth is it sucks
-
2 RespuestasTruth and opinion aren't the same.
-
Except they also lie and nerf things without telling us too!!!
-
7 Respuestasokay, you are wrong. They nerved firebolts into ground. Nerfed hunters. look, i know firebolts are cheep. But seriously. Nerfing them into oblivion is not okay. stop nerfing and start buffing.
-
2 RespuestasEditado por The 7th fall: 6/15/2016 2:28:12 AMThis still doesn't excuse the fact that Bungie absolutely refuses to buff to balance, or when they do they put on a counter nerf that will normally offset the actual buff.
-
9 RespuestasOk but if you're going to take away the hunters "sticky" grenade, then it's only fair all other "sticky" grenades are taken away.
-
1 RespuestaTalk about connection though man please. No one talks about connection because Bungie tides us over with these so called fixes which are just masks for a crappy connecting ONLINE game. LOLOL

8 RespuestasEditado por corujariousa: 6/14/2016 9:06:27 PMI disagree. Following that line of thought... Nobody likes to die from: - Titan's shoulder charge. - Warlock Stormcaller's long range melee. - Warlock Sunsinger's long lasting fire grenade. - Etc... Should we NERF everything on all characters ?
-
OMG do they seriously pay you now? Cause usually what you are doing here well mostly folks get paid for it.

Editado por Matt Boy52: 6/15/2016 2:46:19 AMI think the main problem with balancing is Bungie is trying to balance the game as if it were still Halo. And it can't work that way, Destiny is too different from how Bungie developed Halo. Let's compare to Halo 3 for an example. Choice in characters is just really cosmetic differences in Halo 3, Destiny has 3 classes with many different stat builds and abilities. There's 1-2 versions of each weapon type in H3, but there's hundreds of weapons with random perks in Destiny. Everything is so much more complex and intricate now. And Bungie is desperately trying simplify the game, but there's so many variables it's damn near impossible to do so without fucking everything up, and Bungie needs to realize that.
-
One thing I notice in this game, when things get nerfed something else will take its place. It's just a matter of time in finding it.
-
I completely agree, I feel like this was a much needed change.
