It's been like that since Day 1! People have been using it as such for close to 2 years and developed play styles of using it as such!
Why da hell is does it now bounce!? They are supposed to stick and kill our enemies!
You might as well get rid of all sticky grenades while your at it!
Sorry guys but c'mon!

"Trip mines are stickies" No. They are traps.
-
No it's not a sticky and it wasn't supposed to be their programming screw up just kind of had that unintended effect. And typically like bungle it took them 2 years to fix it
-
I like the idea of a trap grenade and the concept of turning damage down but wish it was less visible and longer-lasting (w/o exotic) to compensate.

I dont care if you've developed some stupid "play-style", TRIPmines are supposed to stick to SURFACES, so that people "TRIP" over them. Why does none of you get it?

2 RespuestasHere is the crazy thing. We actually have a medal granted to us when we stuck them with it. Plus the grenade itself gave a 70 point damage increase if you stuck somone with it. Strange huh? Yet bungie stated in this newest patch. That they weren't "intended" to be sticky grenades. ~INDY

Ahem they have been working as unintended but now they are working as intended. - Bungo

I'm kind of surprised they chose to make this change two years into the game. I mean, they're kind of rearranging chairs in a house scheduled for demolition.
-
I like how they don't stick anymore. They aren't meant to stick. They are traps. The damage nerf was unnecessary, though. It should have gotten a buff in damage so anyone that walks into a flashing red light gets punished with death.

2 RespuestasEditado por Calculus-Entropy: 6/15/2016 3:53:29 PMI thought a trip-mine was indeed a mine that tripped when you had someone detonate by either tripping a wire, or possibly proximity. I also thought "stickies" were grenades that you threw at someone hoping to have them attach and deal damage to that player. Not land past them because you missed and then decide to arm itself as a different grenade (please see discription of "trip-mine" above)?

3 RespuestasTripmines are MINES with a TRIPwire sensor. Do you not know how mines work? It's a logic change.
-
Bungie got bored, what can you do; kinda curious what its like now myself
-
They buffed swarms. Use those! They great now!

10 RespuestasThey were never meant to be sticky grenades.

1 RespuestaThey should take tracking off the fusion grenades to compensate.

4 RespuestasWhy aren't lightening grenades stickies then?
-
Lol true
-
Not any more ;) Suck it.
-
"It's been that way since day 1" This is a fallacy.

7 RespuestasEditado por OurWildebeest: 6/14/2016 6:12:50 PMThey are called "tripmines." Trip means, walk near it and you trip it. Mine means, stationary waiting to be walked over/near.
-
I can see where you're coming from. If they can stick to walls, then they should be able to stick to guardians.
-
3 RespuestasWait fusion nades no longer stick? If so then I'm down with that.
-
1 RespuestaThe design of a tripmine is to stick it to a wall (not a guardian) and let them walk into it. The blame should not be a change in the operation of the grenade but the fact it took bungie 18 months to change it. The change is appropriate.
