So I was running through some heroic strikes today. I was running past all the useless enemies so that we could speed through it. I got to the boss and wiped to bring the other two forward. They proceeded to send me hate mail calling me a coward and unskilled for running past useless enemies.
Since when has speed running become unskilled
Edit:
For the people saying I think my way is the only way to run strikes, you're wrong. I don't believe that. I understand people run it different ways. I'm simply stating that it's sad that people think speed running makes you unskilled at this game and send hate mail over it
Edit 2:
I admit, it was kind of inconsiderate of me to pull them forward, but at the time I had soloed half the strike and just wanted to finish it finally. When I go into match making, I don't expect people to do things exactly my way. It's every man for himself. If someone kept killing ads at boss or kept dying at boss, I wouldn't send hate mail over it. It's my risk for using match making. My point is stop expecting thing to go your way of you use match making, and don't send hate mail for it, because you chose to use match making
Edit 3:
Wow so much salt for speed running. I bet half of you are taken tots. Would have liked to see you try grinding strikes in HoW. You would have been screwed. Everyone was speed running trying to get a dry rot or a hopscotch pilgrim

Speed run with a fireteam of your mates, try not do it with guardians you don't know, some might not like it. Getting hate mail is silly, peeps should chill as it's just a game. Keep on grinding mate and have fun.
-
Dude I speed run that shit too. I don't need to sit back and kill enemies I've killed 100 times already.
-
I like engrams. Engrams drop from enemies. Blue has a chance to turn legendary, legendary happens to change into exotics sometimes. Either way. I like loot.
-
I do the same thing you must have been playing with noobs

12 RespuestasIf someone pulls me through to the end do you know what I do...... Nothing I just dance and let them solo the boss. That way it will take even more time to run the strike than it would normally. Also may switch to striker and shoulder charge punching and throwing granades at them the entire battle hoping i get them killed where I'll dance on their body not giving them a rez. You can't expect everybody to be cool with a speed run. Lots of people just wanna relax and shoot some aliens in the face and others may be farming glimmer or engrams and want to kill every enemy. If you are farming the bosses just go on lfg and post a group. You'll get it done faster and may just make a friend in the process vs. pissing off a random.

This is exactly why SBMM should be in the strike playlist and NOT in the PvP playlists.
-
I just go with the flow.

Edit 4: Meat sweats. I've got em. Real bad.
I was running past all the useless enemies so that we could speed through it. I got to the boss and wiped to bring the other two forward.
I do this all the time just in hopes of getting hate mail. I have never got any for doing it

Speed running is the way to go. Strikes are tedious enough

10 RespuestasSpeed running is annoying to people because as redundant as the game may be to you, there are people who have just started to play the game and want to experience the strikes for how they are meant to be played. Form a fireteam with other people who want to speed run if you just wanna run by everything cause some people want to play the game the way it's meant to be done.

1 RespuestaEditado por ShredFace: 5/31/2016 9:37:52 PMI always run thru... It's matchmaking I'll play how ever in the fvck I want to. If people get pissed over someone pulling them thru a strike they should join a fire team that enjoys spending 30 minutes casually going thru strikes. End of discussion

2 RespuestasI speed run all the time. I feel its a lot more risky if your the only one speed running. You have all enemies focused on you. And if you die before a check point to pull. You have to wait til respawn or if someone is close enough to you to revive
-
I speed run heroics frequently, get that shit done and let's get some rewards. That's my theory.
-
Killing non-essential enemies in strikes is still a thing?
-
I wouldve been glad. Strikes are so -blam!-ing boring, I try to finish them asap
-
I don't see the problem, speed running saves time and maximises loot and packages.

2 RespuestasOhhhh speed running was the shit back in How (never got guns to drop for me but w/e), but yea how do people not speed run a strike its like the funniest thing to do in strikes
got i think 5 minutes in the psion flyers strike
-
I run the strikes normally for the most part, but if I see someone is gonna speed run, I run with them. Then I invite them to my game and continue doing speed runs until I'm bored of strikes
-
Always speed run, but I won't wipe people forward unless they're being douches.

Everyone was speed running trying to get a dry rot or a hopscotch pilgrim
Completely agree with this statement, with the rest as well, but mostly the third edit, i remember back in HoW me and my buddies were speeding through a strike in less than 10 mins... After playing since week 1 (payday was on day 3), we kinda got tired of doing the same strikes over and over. Now, i still try to speed run it but some of the new strikes are slightly longer to complete even if i rush ahead and other parts are just plain difficult to rush through (Shrieker room in the sunless cell strike for example)

I always run through lol
-
Lol those salty kids are funny. If they want to stroll through strikes killing everything and wasting time, they should group up on lfg.

1 RespuestaI often get friend requests when speedrunning. Speedrunners in strikes are awesome people. So on my behalf, thanks!

Let's speed run together
