Hate mail for speed running in heroic strikes
So I was running through some heroic strikes today. I was running past all the useless enemies so that we could speed through it. I got to the boss and wiped to bring the other two forward. They proceeded to send me hate mail calling me a coward and unskilled for running past useless enemies.
Since when has speed running become unskilled

For the people saying I think my way is the only way to run strikes, you're wrong. I don't believe that. I understand people run it different ways. I'm simply stating that it's sad that people think speed running makes you unskilled at this game and send hate mail over it

I admit, it was kind of inconsiderate of me to pull them forward, but at the time I had soloed half the strike and just wanted to finish it finally. When I go into match making, I don't expect people to do things exactly my way. It's every man for himself. If someone kept killing ads at boss or kept dying at boss, I wouldn't send hate mail over it. It's my risk for using match making. My point is stop expecting thing to go your way of you use match making, and don't send hate mail for it, because you chose to use match making

Wow so much salt for speed running. I bet half of you are taken tots. Would have liked to see you try grinding strikes in HoW. You would have been screwed. Everyone was speed running trying to get a dry rot or a hopscotch pilgrim

Final verdict: I'm going to speed run, whether you like it or not, I don't really care all that much. What benefits do you get from strikes that you don't get from speed running? Why are you doing the strikes? For the content and how well structured the fights are, right? No. You're running them for the loot 90% of the time, so I'm doing it quick. Don't want to speed through it yourself? That's fine, I don't mind, but I'm going all out. You know why? Because I am going to play the game how I would like to play.

Don't waste my time by killing useless shit making a strike go 10 minutes longer than it should. Whats worse is when they constantly die to the mobs they are trying to kill. I don't bother reviving them. I keep pushing forward straight to the boss, then I wipe to bring them up with me. Ask yourself whats better? Beating a long ass Omnigull strike in 15-20 minutes? Or beating it in just 7-9 minutes? The rewards are not even worth the time spent that is why we speed through it as fast as possible. I always hope to connect to other speed runners in strikes, and when I do its glorious. We blast through 5 Heroic strikes in less than 30 minutes only to collect our shitty blue engrams at the end. Speed running is the way to go in a game that gives you jack shit for your time.

Depends how new they were to the game. If im striking with any random players that are over 315 in light lvl, i make it my priority to speed run the strike...pretty sure no veteran wants to spend an extra 15 mins killing pointless enemies, unless there is a specific bounty/quest they need done, in which case they could simply message me that they need me to take it slow for them. In that case is happily do that for them. But if i get nothing, and they are 315 or higher, and every now and again ill see what the 2 teammates are doing and if they are attempting a speed run or just taking it slow, ill simply go at their pace. Or ill do the speed run and in the process ill stop, turn around and see where the teammates are at to see if they are attempting the speed run with me. If not, i wont speed run it. Or if im too far ahead ill just take it slow or go grab a soda/take a piss, until they catch up.

I'm a scenic route kind of guy. So I do get a little salty when people sprint ahead to try and pull me through like I'm a pet on a leash. At least acknowledge this, even if you don't give two Shits.

I've got to a point where I speed run certain strikes when with my friends. But if going solo I wait to see what the other players do. I don't mind staying around and fighting if that's what they want.

1 RespuestaHate mail is a bit silly, the only time I have gotten a bit annoyed with somebody speed running is when I had the quest to kill a certain number of shriekers in the darkblade strike. I ended up getting pulled through a couple times before I could get the shriekers killed. I thought that was a special strike so all members should have been doing the same thing. Other than that if you have a technique that will get us through faster, I will be watching and contributing as much as I can. If I want to chill and waste aliens I will drop into patrol and shoot up a storm.

Speed run with a fireteam of your mates, try not do it with guardians you don't know, some might not like it. Getting hate mail is silly, peeps should chill as it's just a game. Keep on grinding mate and have fun.
