In general I hate people who flip the spawns, it can throw the match.
But like any tactic, stupid or otherwise it can also be used effectively.
Last night on Pantheon, the other team had B and C and had us pinned down at the A spawn point. My team kept running towards them and dying again and again. It was roughly 10,000/5,000 to them. We were getting destroyed. I thought, -blam!- this, so I sprinted around the outside, and started capping their zone.
The other team charged back to stop me, a guy spawned in nearby. I died of course, but it bought my team time to reassemble.
As soon as I respawned I ran for B and dropped a bubble on it. We cap B, our fortunes turn around and we win the game by about 3,000-4,000 points.
Flipping the spawns is always a stupid idea, and only idiots do it. Until it's not.

You didn't flip the spawn someone on the winning team advanced to far after you left the zone that you were pinned on.
-
Flipping the spawn can be strategic if you are pinned like you said.
-
Now this is the real game breaking glitch, capture the 2 good zones and control them, hate spawn flippers, especially at rusted lands when you end up spawning at the back of the building and by the time you get to B it's gone
-
We mercy ruled a team earlier because we controlled C and B on shores of time. 3 at each point just wrecking everything. Never triple cap and only flip spawns if you have the bad spawn. Thats the rules i go by
-
I hate starting a point A on Shores of Time. It seems further away than C is to B. I always like capping B and C. Do that and you'll win with ease.
-
it can be a tactic on maps that aren't the same on each side. if one has a open spot so you won't get pinned down on you want that spawn point. - True vanguard

I have done that before. If they continue to keep my team pinned down I usually sneak around and start capping their zone, just to pull some of them away. That should give your team a chance to push B. Unfortunately, if I'm solo, I usually can't communicate to my team that I'm not going to finish the cap. Usually teammates run to me instead of B.

This just happened like 10 minutes ago for me.. We are leading, the some ftard flipped the spawn and we end up losing...

I'd go as far to say that flipping the spawns is only a bad idea if you're winning. But that's probably blasphemy and you get shot for saying shit like that.
