Indeed this is why I keep saying your ignorant! Do you not understand that science RELIES on philosophy? Philosophy was the first true science, and thus science as we know it today NEEDS philosophy otherwise it falls apart and is not possible. And to your other point; There is no way to PROVE the external world to begin with because we cannot get outside of ourselves, our own minds. What do you not understand about that. There is an unbridgeable gap between us and any possible external world, although many do indeed believe in a mind independent reality apart from ourselves. Let me ask, have you studied/read any philosophical work? It does not seem you have otherwise you would recognize where you are going wrong in your thought.
In short; there is NO way to be sure about the external observable world.

First of all, you restated what I just said. Thanks for that. We need philosophy to make the critical assumption that what we perceive to be the world is the real world. We need it to define the rules of science. Again, let me redirect you to the original topic. Defend your original point which is not that science needs philosophy, but that philosophy can answer things that science cannot. What are these flaws in science that you claim exist?
