I know these are bit of a hot topic. No matter how op or not op something is, someone is going to get salty. 2 tap thorn? People defended that like the last city.
But seriously firebolt taking you out of a fight for 10+ seconds is NOT COOL.
My suggestion is to leave the damage exactly where it is. But instead of dealing it over 7 ticks, deal the same damage over 3-4 ticks.
The problem with firebolt is not the damage it does but how long it makes you 1 shot. They need to half that time and it would be completely balanced.

2 RespuestasNerf it just like thorn. Less dmg per dot, less dots.

2 RespuestasBungie on Firebolts, "er, we can't fix them. Oh well :p"

2 RespuestasWombo Combo lightening gernade? Hmmm

1 RespuestaI wouldn't cry over this. The burn effect only works half the time.
-
1 RespuestaThis is mainly an issue trials players complain about, why should they nerf something that would effect all content experience solely for your convenience in trials, they already said there not going to nerf it so deal with it
-
1 RespuestaBeen using sunbreakers with solars its great for choke points

16 RespuestasLol another pvp idiot trying to get something nerfed because they have been killed by it too many times typical isn't it just stop trying to make this game any worse than it is and remember this game will never ever be balanced do you want to know why because it's meant to be a pve game lol idiots just want to run this game into the ground

3 RespuestasBut I use 3 perks in my subclass to get that damage
-
A HOT topic? Eh? Eh? Seriously though, I agree man. Firebolts need to be tuned to do less damage and do their damage FASTER. The time in which you can't recover is stupid.
-
1 RespuestaWhinny little bitch.
-
Either change the time or the damage
-
3 RespuestasI agree. Though you should normally adapt to problems, there isn't really a way to adapt to firebolts. I think I like your idea. Raise the damage, shorten time burning.
-
2 RespuestasI enjoy playing all 3 classes and each has its strengths and weaknesses. Stop crying for nerfs and start learning how to counter them!

3 RespuestasThe sunsingers deserve an overpowered grenade because they dont really have a super. Self-rez rarely every works, and the overshield is practically nonexistent. All they have is grenade and melee, and if they nerf the grenades, no one will ever use sunsinger.
-
2 RespuestasShadestep out if it. If your not a hunter, then try to shadestep outta it.

4 RespuestasEditado por Muphsi: 5/16/2016 1:20:54 PMWhat about Lightning nades? Where are the posts about how broken lightning nades are? What about how much skip nades track you.

1 RespuestaI don't know how to make this clear to you but this won't go anywhere till destiny 2. It takes a whole subclass rework because the pve component of sunsinger will get ruined if firebolts are toned down.
-
1 RespuestaOkay, so according to your opinion, firebolts are OP. Lets say Bungie nerfs them... Now youre stuck with Warlocks that throw fusion grenades, which are not only OHK when attached, but with viking funeral will still cause DoT like the firebolt except firebolts cant OHK you... See where the problem is?
-
7 RespuestasI wish the pvp folk would quit ruining the game for others. The burn "Viking funeral" perks is the issue not fire bolt grenades. The burn is the offense perk for sunsigners. Our super is a support super. Radiance is all about throwing grenades. We do not get the OHK that other subclasses get. Hunters (bladedance, bow, gun), Titans (hammers, fist), warlocks (lighting dot, nova). Imagine a Golden gun that did not OHK or had to aimed with a parabolic arc. It would suck right? Or a hammers that did not kill on hits. Let's also ignore that Titans and hunters can heal with every kill while using their super. Viking funeral is very useful. It slows down the combat in pvp and pve. Pvp players have to disengage if they want to stay alive. Pve aliens cannot regen shields and trash mobs die while ducking behind cover. Viking funeral is not op. It makes the subclass viable.

33 RespuestasSo unoriginal. I'll guess your new because everyone said that same thing forever. So I'll catch you up to speed. As a Singer main I think I'm pretty fair but I remain open to fault so who knows. The bolts suck really bad. What people dislike is the perks. A fully charged bolt will max hitting 3 people at 85ish + ticks. The ticks are a result of the skill tree options on the class. So you don't dislike bolts you dislike burn, is that fair? Now myself I hate bolts, a garbage grenade and too weak for me. I prefer solar grenades with my builds. Great in 6v6 which is what I play and a must in story/missions/raid/etc for my character. Bolts are only getting attention in trials as it stands out in smaller groups. If you change it however you change all players efficiency in all modes for that class. That is a very deep cut to make. Burn has several counters. Some choose anti burn gear, some use their perks like shadestep. There are weapons that can help regeneration of stats as well as gear. At the end of the day when I use it I find tactic and teamwork always get me. There is a laundry list of ways this can be handled including being a Singer yourself. You have three slots so you can experiment and have fun. If a defender stands out in a raid use it. If a hunter can solo what would take others precious time to do then team up. The game is for us to have the most fun and mingle as we do. We call on the best classes in our minds to party up and play. I depend on that burn to different extents at different times. Don't punish me because of your experience. I lose all the time so I know the frustration. I am a bad player stat wise. That's more because I don't care enough to make sure people respect my KD or consider me great. So before you change a skill tree on my only character do to my kids be honest. Have you tried everything? Are you willing to be as flexible and make dramatic changes in your game? Would you sacrifice the parts of the game that are fun for you so people don't have to adapt? Cause this is what your asking of me. The data doesn't support the claims of unstoppable balls of fire. In fact it seems opposite to a grey extent. I'm sorry it urks you. If it helps I get schooled all the time. I learn from it if possible but not always lol. So if you really want to talk as you indicate that's my nutshell. No offense intended just a view from the otherside.
