Lately, spawnkilling and spawnlocking has been seen more and more in the crucible.
I've been put in matches where as soon as I spawn in, I'm dead.
In rift, where there are dedicated spawn zones, you can basically position yourself where the other team is going to spawn. This gives the opponent NO TIME to react, and takes NO SKILL...
My honest opinion is : You should be able to report someone for repeatedly spawnkilling you. not once or twice when someone happens to spawn in front of you - but when used as a strategy.
Now I'm interested in hearing what others think about it.
Edit 1: pardon my bad english and grammar, I'm norwegian.
Edit 2: Edited title to clarify what I was talking about.
Edit 3: I'm not mad, an this was not aimed at guardians or teams - I was just wondering.
Edit 4: Should i post this as a "Do you think the spawns need fixing?" topic adressed in bungie.
Edit 5: Still not mad. :)
Edit 6: This is not about 3v3 or trials. its mostly about rift.
Edit 7: Still smiling
Edit 8: Not crying, please read the line above edit 1.
Edit 9: Edited the title again - is that clear enough?
Edit 10: still smiling :)
Edit 11: I told you my opinion and asked for others - in a polite way. Still not mad.
Edit 12: For more clarification - read sniperlicious comment.
Edit 13: I'm still not mad. Still smiling :)
Edit 14: Thank Rahool for the mute button :)
Edit 15: Good mooooooorning!! Still smiling :)

1 RespuestaSpawn camping had been around since Halo. And I mean the first ever Halo. And it will continue as long as PvP exists. Its annoying, but so far it's also inescapable.
-
2 RespuestasSpawn camping has always been a thing. Asking if it should be reportable is sort of like asking if a football team should get penalized for playing good defense and backing the other team up deep into their own territory. I used to actually like getting spawn camped in some games because it was a challenge to figure out how to get out of it and sometimes you could and get the match turned around.

7 RespuestasThe 22% of people that would actually report people for understanding how to keep a team In their spawn while coummincating this with their team and staying dicsiplened are insane. Think about this, you're going to report someone for being better at understanding the game..... unbelievable. The amount of crybaby snowflakes I see on these fourms is astronomical.

1 RespuestaYou look like a kid did you realized ?

Just don't let them. A guy was trying to do that and the minute I spawned in, I threw a grenade and then shot gunned him. I waited for him to return to his spot. Killed him 2 more times and he gave up. Just wait before you respawn and see where they are at, then kill them.

1 RespuestaTake it like a man...

I used to spawn trap in mw2
-
It shouldn't be a thing, but it's not report worthy.
-
It's beautiful https://youtu.be/LL8GsmjM244 Doesn't that make you smile?
-
I played a rift game earlier and the enemy team was doing this. Not caring about the spark but everywhere my team spawned instant death lol

7 RespuestasEditado por R4PTOR: 5/11/2016 2:44:10 AMIf you have played Destiny so much that you know each spawn location, you've got no life. If you know because someone else told you, and you actually use it, you have no life. If you have to borderline cheat just to feel a little bit better about yourself, your a scrub with no life. Spawn killing has always and will always be something that wab ass noobs do. Noone with skills will waste time doing that. Not only thay, but it's gotta feel the same as stealing someone's ipod. you didn't earn it, therefore you can't have respect for it. Without respect, there's no real appreciation. Edit: I didn't actually answer the question lol. YES! I believe that they should not only be reported, but kicked for few hours so they learn that being a spawnkilling scrub just isn't worth it. Edit: Upon further reading of others posts on here, I have to say that spawn killing IS NOT A STRATEGY! Out flanking a team, or rushing a team is a strategy. Cheating is not a strategy. It's just cheating. And spawn killing is a form of cheating.

1 RespuestaRift is one of those game modes that wasn't well thought out, to many points for spark running, your own zone should be a safe zone when the spark isn't being run unless onside players are in the zone, when in the spark pick up area supers/abilities should be neutralized. .....just a couple of Ideas.
-
You can report them through Xbox itself instead of the in-game report. The in game report tool only seems to try not match you with the guy you reported. I would guess it works the same for PlayStation. Haven't played much PS3 yet
-
Umm. Whenever I played rift I'd spawn anywhere on the map where they're wasn't enemies, even in their drop zone, it's always spawned the same as the other modes for me.
-
I hate it, but it's not cheating or against the rules or anything, its just cheap
-
1 RespuestaI remember being spawn trapped in demolition MW3 and thinking what the f**k. I haven't experienced it in rift but if I was spawn killed 3-4 times in a row I'd leave. I don't think I'd report it though even if it was a team trapping
-
I hate being spawn trapped but if the other team can do it than props to them cause it's a smart play
-
Editado por Rough_Hands_Jr: 5/11/2016 12:31:09 PMLol I've been seeing some bs call of duty type spawns recently. I know it's really frustrating but I don't think it's reportable behavior. Bunghole needs to fix their spawns before it turns into Bo3 nuketown. Spawn killing and spawn flipping galore!
-
Great idea, everyone report every single thing that pisses them off in crucible as cheating, and they won't be able to find the people who are actually cheating amongst all the people getting reported for nothing.
-
I don't think it should be report-able. It happens in a lot a games. The common solution is usually you have 2 to 3 seconds on invincibility so you can break out of the start area but can't abuse it during the heat of battle. The other option is established safe zones that opposing teams cannot cross. So if a rift map is say 100 meters long, they would place a barrier at the first 10 to 20 meters on both side sectioning it off from people trying to spawn kill. Only the guy with the rift can break through it and score. The problem with that one sometimes is that people like to camp behind barriers and I can see that being easily abuse-able in rift.

5 RespuestasEditado por RedWineHangover: 5/11/2016 12:19:19 PMNo, not reportable in my eyes. But Bungie should look at how they can try to make it impossible
-
1 RespuestaEditado por Poop Tickler: 5/11/2016 12:16:06 PMNo. I use to spawn trap with friends in cod ghost ended up getting top 500 in blitz. Didn't know you could do it in destiny though, I'll try it.
-
Spawn Camping or Spawn Trapping, cheap as they maybe and annoying if your on the trapped team, are not really cheating or glitching or breaking any ToS conditions. So No.
-
1 RespuestaEditado por Kain: 5/11/2016 11:43:02 AMvoted no before when it said spawn killing... saw you changed it to spawn trapping so i changed my vote to yes not reported for cheating though... something like bad sportsmanship

7 RespuestasEditado por Sanctus Michael: 5/11/2016 11:52:01 AMReport for what, using a tactic? Spawn killing has been done in other games like Battlefield too. It's a tactic. Frustrating, yes, but could someone do this if the game didn't force a spawn location? No. At least in Battlefield the opposite team couldn't actually step foot in the opposing team's spawn, only aircraft. Destiny, more in Rift, I can sit at the enemies rift and spawn kill. Maybe bungie should make a certain area of the enemies rift out of bounds unless a runner is active? Either way, it's not the player's fault, it's the designers for allowing it. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
