How to get hatemail in patrol......
Sit down in front of a Cabal major (or any enemy major) spawn point.
I was called a c*** for doing just that, and when I told the person to calm down a bit with the language he proceeded to call more a c*** again.
Some people just don't relish that this is just a GAME.
Anyone else get hate mail for something stupid?
Edit: So a lot of people are either failing to see the point of the post or fall into the same category as the person who sent me the message.
For starters: when I real life issues comes along that I have to quickly take care of, I am not going to put the game first. If that means I interfere in some way with someone else but accident, then so be it.
But the point of the post: there is ZERO need for swearing at random people who you don't know what their doing. I was NOT being a troll on purpose, and I moved out of the area the moment I got back and people started doing their runs or what ever once again. No one else at the time cared except for one guy who got really ruffled.
But hey, I guess a lot of people on these forums are quick to judge, result to name calling or agree with the statement that I am a c*** because I put my son before a video game.
Go ahead, continue with your salty, misguided keyboard bashing. It is rather enjoyable to see how many of you are so quick to judge and it is truly sad.
Remember, it is a VIDEO GAME... you guys judging me need to understand that.
Edit 2: This community is disgusting. Now you guy's believe that the only reason I mentioned my son was to use him as an excuse for my douchebag behaviour? When the reality is not one of you knows what's going on in my personal life and therefore not one of you guys can make an assumption like that.
This community sickens me, getting all high and mighty, name calling and defensive attitudes... over a video game. That is so sad.

A casual father who gets's 2-3 hours of play time a week because the rest of the time he's working and caring for his family. He goes into patrol to pick up some major kills for a bounty, and you're sitting there preventing them from spawning. It's in bad faith, it's counterintuitive to the co-operative nature of the game, and it's just generally inconsiderate. Justifying your actions by saying people need to chill out because it's a video game is akin to a child holding a remote control out of the reach of another child and saying "it's just TV, why do you care so much that you don't get a choice in what we watch? Stop calling mr names you're taking this too seriously." The only purpose the action serves is to prevent another from enjoying themselves. The only outcome is bringing someone else down. And the nature of that is strictly negative. Why is it worth doing if all you're doing is making someone elses experiences less positive? You seem to get satisfaction out of it. So you make yourself feel better by bringing others down. That is the definition of bullying, indiscriminantly and absolutely. By denying it and justifying it in the manner you do you prove your own egocentrism and inconsideration for others. And that, sir, makes you an asshole.

You see, that's the problem. It's a video game. Sadly, there's is a reason that gamers get stereotyped as being complete a-holes. Sadly, many of them fit that steretype, especially on forums where they can remain anonymous. Not sure if it has something to do with them being bullied and they take it out on others or just natural human dickery. Probably a combo of both. Me, I just try to treat others with respect. It's. It's not that hard to do.

15 RespuestasVideo game or not, your behavior was inconsiderate. You took someone else's entertainment and made it less enjoyable. If your son was making a loud disruption during a movie at the theater, it would be very rude of you not to remove him from the viewing area until he calmed down. Even if it is "just a movie", it is something others decided to spend their time and money on. And I think it is a moral reflection on you that you lack any concern for others in a virtual world.
