Faction packages
If I rank up with a faction and don't collect the package, will the package get deleted if I rank up again before collecting? Or will I have 2 packages waiting to be collected?
Excuse my ignorance. I've never tried before and google failed to find anything relevant.

You're correct - packages will be overwritten if you rank up a second time without collecting your previous package from the Vendor. It's advised that you always collect your packages when they become available to avoid having that happen.
