Alright before reading onwards if you're just going to be toxic don't read on...... Please spare us your saltiness.
Alright, what if you load outs were locked in trials? You couldn't swap weapons, subclasses, armour ect.
This would prevent (most) icebreaker users in trials as they will be at a disadvantage the whole game right through till round 5. Forcing them to have a low light level or starting with another weapon.
This would also prevent people from changing heavies for heavy round as well.
And it would at least in my opinion be a 'better' change for trials ahead.
Edit: I'm talking primarily about when you're in-game, you can still change weapons while flying in.
Edit 2: the poll says mostly yes but the replies mostly say no.
Edit 3: over 200 replies and only 1 toxic comment. congratulations! community you've surprised me. For those checking my stats you'll probably see I don't play trials much, sorry but I don't see how my opinion should be any less valuable.

The only problem is some people like to switch up weapons based on what others are using. However then again, assholes keep switching to Truth during heavy round so Idk lol
-
I respectfully disagree. What if you want to switch up your guns depending on how the other team is playing?
-
2 RespuestasMy idea is getting 9 wins will get you to the lighthouse to pull from the chest with or without losses. But if you do go flawless then you should be awarded a max level gun or armor. This would make it so more people could get there and the elites would still have a reason to play. Maybe I'm just crazy though

What's up guys! If you would like a trials carry or need some help in PvE check out my new clan - Future Prodigy www.bungie.net/en/clan/detail/1504737

1 RespuestaAgree and disagree. It is a great fix for the special problem. But I like to switch up my primary based on who I am competing with.
-
2 RespuestasIf trials would be chancing they should take revieves Off so it would be real elimination.
-
1 RespuestaI do like this idea... 50/50

1 RespuestaThe locked loadouts wouldn't help in trials because icebreaker can still one shot to the head. Had a guy who was helping a friend and I in trials who used icebreaker the entire game and went on a ten kill streak with it. If they made weapons do considerably less damage based on low light like in PVE it would solve one symptom but it wouldn't cure the problem. There are a ton of issues currently, and the community has to agree on what the issue is first, not just some scapegoat to draw attention away from the true issues.

4 RespuestasStop with posts like these, I see about 20 every day and they're absolutely pointless. You aren't going to fix this game type, plain and simple. Honestly "git gud" and stop complaining about Trials. Yeah it's tough as hell to go flawless but why shouldn't it be? It's endgame pvp which means that the highest level of talent resides within this playlist. Don't be daft. I'd also like to point out that Op has less than 4000 kills in the crucible. This seems to be the norm with most of the "boohoo crucible is too hard" posts. Knock it off with the pity party, get better, try different loadouts, play smarter, understand there are better players than you and keep your mouth shut.

1 RespuestaPeople complain about a lack of weapon diversity in then post shit like this......
-
Gets rid of weapon diversity, for me and many others at least. Love to run eyasluna, as well as bad juju and first curse

1 RespuestaAs a person who does not play trials, i have an unbiased opinion. I would assume that being able to change your loadout in the middle of the game should be something you can do. It would be super annoying to play a team that plays a certain way, and your loadout is completely opposite to be able to compete with them properly. I think this would irritate a lot of people. I think the better option would be to either rule out certain weapons, like icebreaker and maybe invective, and remove the sidearm function of having ammo.

1 Respuestayou must be a genie! me and a trials group were talking about this. i support this OP bump. ~TheGreatAsics

1 RespuestaEditado por Joshlug: 3/29/2016 1:06:38 PMHonestly, even though there's little exploits with sidearms and such, i still would like to be able to switch from shotgun to sniper depending on how the other team plays. But there shouldn't be a heavy round. It's like flipping a coin when it comes to those
-
1 RespuestaI like it, maybe even have preset loadout S that aren't specific to a player. No one would have an edge gun wise over another, would keep people from crying nerf as the loud outs would just be locked so stuff that's cruise fly broken just can't be used
-
2 RespuestasEveryone should have to pick between a basic auto rifle, scout rifle, pulse rifle , and hand cannon for a primary. Either a sniper, shotgun, fusion rifle, or sidearm for a secondary. And a machine gun, rocket launcher, or sword for heavy. They all have to be equally balanced so one of those doesn't become the main choice for everyone though.
-
1 RespuestaOnce I read locked loadout a I was done. If u have an idea post it. This is not an idea
-
1 RespuestaWouldn't make a difference i would still shove my The Jade Rabbit up everyone's ass
-
1 RespuestaFresh idea
-
That's punishing the majority and reduces tactics even further. Respectfully disagree.
-
5 RespuestasJust bring Thorn back. Everyone will use it and then it's an even playing field
-
2 RespuestasIce breaker is a great sniper and very easy to use. Even with the low light level, you are currently at no disadvantage using it for the entire match anyway. Maybe the new light level dlc may be just enough for ice breaker to not headshot in trials anymore? I don't know, but I could stay on ice breaker all match no problem even if it locked.
-
If I'm getting rekt at sniping I should have the option to switch up a shotgun. End of Discussion.
-
2 RespuestasI think it's be fun if there were only white weapons. One of each weapon class, and they were he same for everyone with, no perks. That way, it would actually be gunskill that matters instead of who has a better roll on their guns
-
3 RespuestasI like that idea,I wish there was no heavy round though.
-
3 RespuestasI would prefer no special or heavy ammo drops. You would start with a certain amount of ammo on each weapon for the whole round. 8 on sniper 12 on fusion 10 on shotgun 32 I'm sidearm 2 rockets 30 on mg 15 sword Swapping weapons out clears the ammo.
