I'm 45. Am I too old to play? I've noticed my reflexes are slowing and I'm wondering if anyone *ahem* of a certain age has a similar problem?
-
You have 20 years before the cutoff
-
1 RespuestaYour reflexes generally do not slow down due to age. They slow down due to lack of practice and exercise of the respective activity. When you get older, your responsibilities increase and you have less time to dedicate to playing relative to when you were younger.

Never too old sir! 42 here and instead of watching TV when the little one goes to bed, i fire up Destiny. Best way to forget the day.#gamerforlife

Turned 51 in July and have been playing since day 1. Able to hold my own.

8 Respuestas44...play games every night after 9 when wife and kids asleep. Still feel 15...still like metal and cartoons. Have a white collar job, live in a subdivision, and go to Home Depot on Saturdays (if there's time lol). NEVER TOO OLD MAN!

Your good man
-
Nah man I have a friend who I play with and we usually play with his grandparents who are like sixty so your all good.

Editado por Jerilla13: 3/28/2016 4:08:52 PMNope, if you enjoy it then you are not too old. I am North of 40 myself and I understand that I will probably never be great in the crucible but I have fun anyway.
-
88 RespuestasYes. Go play spades, old man. This is a young man's game, here. If you're too old to join the ARMY, you're too old for Destiny.
-
6 RespuestasThere's people in the 60s and 70s playing this game your fine
-
Almost 56...getting some arthritis in my hands, but not too bad yet. Yeah, eyesight also starting to waiver. Except for PvP, it really isn't a problem as i can pretty much do all PvE events with decent skill. However, going against guardians in their 20s with great reflexes and perfect eyesight....i am lucky if i finish middle of the group i am in. That is why i play PvP so little. Love to raid though.

You could make an arguement that playing a game like destiny would keep you young. It keeps your mind engaged and forces you to intereact with young kids (for better or probably worse)
-
I'm 3009 years old and I still play.
-
35 here and feel I get better everyday lol.

3 RespuestasI'm 43 and am continually beaten by younger guys in Crucible. Reflexes not as quick, prone to involuntarily flapping about like a giddy old lady when there are loads of people around me in Crucible etc. It's life so I don't sweat it. I play because I enjoy it, no matter whether I am good or not, and right now I still have fun so I'll keep on. I've seen some guys of my age really sharp though, so I don't think it applies to everyone. I think it's also worth considering that younger people have TIME to play. If you've got kids, a job, other commitments like a lot of (not all) people in their 40s then the amount of opportunity you have to sink into a game is far less. I gave up on Fallout 4 after a few hours as it was clear that I'd have to be putting in 4 or 5 hours a day to really get the most from it. Of course, if I were single and lived alone then I could play more but that's another story... I have considered getting a clan of a bunch of 40+ players together - Be fun to do. Anyway, keep on playing - Forget about age - Do it as long as you can and enjoy it.

47 next month. I've been playing on every system made since the dawn of it. Too old? Hell no. I sucked. Got better. Sucked in pvp. Got better. Now I hold my own( barring the bs animal codes and crap from kiddie servers). I like the pve. And brutalize the kill count in fire team missions. Love banner( Celt for the cheaters the first few days. Till I see you on the playground. Be safe guardians
-
I am 45 too, I don't know what my pvp or kd stats are though, I just have fun.
-
1 RespuestaYou are too old. You must be some pedophile.
-
If anything it might help!

4 RespuestasNo, but you can be too young to play. I put the controller in my 3 month old son's hands and he just drooled on it. He went 0-21 in the Crucible on Control. I'm like, "what are you doing?!?!" He just grinned. At least he's having fun. Eventually though you're going to get so old that you also end up drooling all over the controller. But I think you still got about another 40-45 years before that happens.
-
Yes, go make a family old man.
-
I was on Destiny last week and got a friend request from a gamer whilst in Patrol mode. Accepted the request and he immediately joined my game. My 23 year old daughter and her 22 year old boyfriend, who I regularly play Destiny with, were pissing themselves laughing on the couch as they could hear this young lads high pitched voice babbling away through my earphones. I felt old, and young, at the same time. Just live the game moment to moment. Who knows what situations you'll find yourself in. Embrace and enjoy!!
-
41 here and to answer your question if you are grown then yes you are to old. But if you are growing then no theres always something to do new and fun.
-
You are too old to brag about it, but you're never too old to enjoy the things you like to do.
-
Nope. 47 here and kick the ass of most of these youngins
