Am I too old to play?
I'm 45. Am I too old to play? I've noticed my reflexes are slowing and I'm wondering if anyone *ahem* of a certain age has a similar problem?

2 RespuestasI'm 47. Can't keep up with the youngsters, but still have a blast. I'm ok and a very good teammate. My hands hurt a bit after longer sessions. Never too old to play.

Your slowing motor skills can be helped by working out before you play. Also stretching, like your fingers. No joke. Your hands need attention too, so if you flex them and get your heart rate up you'll have better reflexes.

3 RespuestasI ride bikes with a guy named Leroy. He can pull a wheelie and ride it almost a mile before he sets the tire down. Moral of the story... He's 54 years old. He's still young, and you can be to man.

Never too old to play. Im 19 and I love helping older people do hard activities (Nightfalls, Raids, ect...) For some reason it makes me feel prouder for being able to help someone who is so much older than me haha

Im pretty old and get rekt by kids all the time... my reaction time is worse than my kd haha... i also have only played pvp online since destiny came out so considering i haven't had a full life of online pvp i dont think i do to bad...

I'm 56 get the reflex thing send me a friend request and I can tell you what to expect in your 50s while my son on law helps our old asses through the harder stuff

There's no such thing as "too old to play" regarding video games. I'll play until my fingers are so arthritic that the nurses at the home take my controller away. Until that day, however, I'm gonna put on fresh depends and game on.

2 RespuestasI'm 52 and I love Destiny. At first it was only PVE but I eventually tried Crucible because of the legendary marks. I finished at the bottom. Soon I would be mid pack and eventually I could hit the top if I was having a really good game. I realize that I am not playing against the best guardians (never have done Trials) and the new RAID is a bit too intimidating for me (I don't want to be the cause of a team wipe) but I am having fun (isn't that the point?) See you in Iron Banner this week.

So there's a study that shows after our 20s our reaction tine indeed goes down but that same study also showed that we compensate by changing our approach/strategy. I think the reaction changw isn't TOO significant but I'm gonna be 30 in 2 weeks and I notice it, or it could just be that I notice it in games I'm new at bc games I've played massive amounts of hours I still am pretty much a robot. Like in WoW my fingers hit keys to react to shit in pvp before my brain even comprehends it lol. I was good at that shit tho.

2 RespuestasThe Cricible is as much about strategy as it is reflexes. I play more Cricible now than I did before and I'm slowly getting better. I've learnt that the good players play smart as much as they play quick.

I did a raid with a guy who was telling us about his 3 year old grandson, so I imagine he must have be at least 50 but probably older. He knew what he was doing too
