Arrow's story in spoiler [spoiler]The big flood we had here in South Carolina destroyed homes, neighborhoods, roads, businesses and even took some lives. What a lot of people didn't think about (including us) were the animals. Hundreds or thousands of animals were lost or killed. We live in an apartment complex that was completely surrounded by water when the flood really hit so no one could leave. The water was [i]rushing.[/i] Anyway after the flood cleared we started noticing some stray cats outside. About a dozen or so of us (residents & dog owners) noticed and started feeding them. That's when we noticed the odd ball. A little kitten that all the other cats were mean to, he was weak and so tiny. Over the course of a couple weeks we would go outside to feed him, we'd push the other cats away or "bop" their heads so they'd run. The kitten started getting friendlier and stronger. However not all residents like stray kittens (he wasn't the only kitten, just the only ignored and mistreated one) so animal control was called. I woke up one morning to my boyfriend looking at me saying "I did something bad." He just took me into the bathroom and there was the kitten. I looked at my boyfriend and said "you know he's ours now, right?" And e just said that he couldn't let animal control take him. I scooped him up and we went to the vet that day, $300 later he's our little Arrow and my best friend. [/spoiler] A normal morning with Arrow Me: *wakes up* "Goodmorning Kitty" Arrow: "meow" Me: *walks into bathroom* Arrow: *waits at door* "meow" Me: *feeds/pets Arrow* "here's breakfast." Me: *starts making coffee* Arrow: "meow meow" Me: "you want some coffee? Here taste." Arrow: *stands on hind legs, sniffs coffee, sits back down* Me: *opens fridge* Arrow: "meow" *walks into fridge* Me: "what's in there?" Arrow: "meow" Me: "you want the draw open?" *opens drawer* Arrow: *puts paws in drawer, walks away* Me: "okay." *closes fridge, stirs coffee, walks to couch* Arrow: *on my heels* "meow meow" Me: "I know I know. Come here." Me: *puts kitty in lap. Sips coffee.* Arrow: *purrs*
