This is a topic that hasn't come up since the taken king came out which one would win in a fight Guardians or Spartans.
The fight would be like this
Nine Guardians ( one for each subclass )
And four Spartans ( blue team from halo 5 )
Which team will win
i believe a spartan would win one on one with a guardian but I want to see who everyone thinks would win in a more balanced match
edit: just to clarify both party's have full ammo and charged abilities
The list of guardians I am referring to
Titans:
Zavala
Lord shaxx
Saint 14
Warlocks:
Osiris
Toland
Ikora Rey
Hunters:
Jaren ward
Pahanin
Cayde 6
List of Spartans on blue team
John/master chief
Linda
Kelly
Fred

Thank you both for this information

Ok here is a Spartans reflexes
Halo: The Fall of Reach Pg. 73 said:
"What are their reaction times?"
"Almost impossible to chart. We estimate it at 20 miliseconds," Mende replied. He shook his head, then added, "I believe it is significantly faster in combat situations, when their adrenaline is pumping"
In comparison normal people have reflexes of 272 milliseconds

Also Spartan armor further increases their speed
Halo: The Fall of Reach pg. 115 said:
"More importantly," Dr. Halsey said, "the armor's inner structure is composed of a new reactive metal liquid crystal. It is amorphous, yet fractally scales and amplifies force. In simplified terms, the armor doubles the wearer's strength, and enhances the reaction time of a normal human by a factor of 5"

Halo Shadow of Intent
Uncannily quick, the Prelate raised his hardlight shield and deflected three shots from a Covenant carbine rifle. The bright green hypersonic slugs ricocheted with glassy pings, sparking radioactive fuel.
Carbine rods weigh 100 grams and move at various speeds, here is there kinetic energy fro the various speeds
Mach 1: 5,780 joules
700 m/s: 24,500 joules
Mach 5: 144,670 joules

Or a penetration of about 1 to multiple inches of steel.

(Also note if you read the link he doesn't start talking about the Carbine until the quote from the Halo 2 manuel)

I've come out with a result. (excluding multi-weapons, grenades, and respawn capabilities)
A Spartan-IV has a 87% chance of winning over a striker titan.
(for the sake of keeping a good base comparison, I chose a striker)
I ran a halo 5 spartan against a titan striker in destiny to have a common grounds for powers.
The Spartans have a 4 second cool down on dodge ability, leaving a window of opportunity for a titan to shoulder charge them. (shoulder charge takes about 2.5 seconds to get primed) But on that note a spartan has no wait on their shoulder charge meaning they'd have the advantage of hitting first. Spartans however have no jet pack like the titan giving the titan more room to move and makes attacks from the spartan easier to dodge. And if a titan is able to hold out against a spartan for about 4 minutes (the fastest time need to charge a super) The spartan won't be able to get out of the Fist of Havoc's AoE. The spartan has the ability to ground pound too but it has to hit the titan head on in order to kill him, and it can't arm it on the ground.

In terms of weapons I used a common ground. You gave me the stats for the type-51 carbine so I used a weapon that shoots about as fast with about the bullet speed same speed. The Touch of malice. I excluded the variable of infinite ammo because though yes it can get out a few extra shots it drains the guardian's health. A give take equation that I'm not up to solve. When it comes to ammo the spartan has an immediate upper because the mag can hold 18 shots where the ToM can only hold 11. the Guardian has the long term upper hand however because the ToM can hold 126 shots in the reserves where the type-51 carbine can only hold 120. it's about a 50-50 split but given that spartan can react better I see them being able to predict a guardian's movement better, giving them an advantage overall.

In terms of hand to hand combat, the spartan win simply due to their enhanced reaction time and extensive combat training since a young age. (though I think the spartan-IV program is now only doing it to adults now so that might change a bit)

All the spartan has to do is kill the guardian before the 4 minute mark and dodge only when necessary and they'll win the fight. But one slip up and it could result in a shoulder charge to the face or a game-ending fist of havok. And so long as the spartan isn't too wasteful with ammo he should have enough to gun the guardian down.

8 RespuestasAs a past Xbox player, I didn't get the whole fan hype for halo, regardless though, I played it but even destiny has better quantity than halo. You can easily beat every story line with 2-3 days. Not to mention the pay to win requisition bullshit in halo 5. If I wanted a pay to win game, I would've played warframe

5 RespuestasEditado por Hide My Ghost: 3/9/2016 8:30:41 PMI'm a huge Halo fan but aye I have to give it to the Gardians. The reason being is the Guardian can is its ghost to scan and leak out information. Although the Spartans have a AI to do the same the ghost technology is too advance. Meanwhile the guardians ghost will tell the Guardian the Spartans strengths and weaknesses. Therefore the Guardian will know all it needs to know before the battle and the Spartan only knows what it sees basically. Since the weapons are way advance any shots from it would damage the Spartan but not kill them. But do to the Spartans reflexes they would doge it. Now the guns from halo won't really do much but it would damage the Guardain. The guardian could us a Melee to damage the spartan but not kill them (if the guardian is even fast enough) or throw a grenade which would kill the Spartan (read lore, grenades are strong asf) lore they could use there super which are mostly formed from light and not bound by space and time so yeh it's just logic.....

1 RespuestaPeople seem to keep forgetting that ghosts can be destroyed/killed, which essentially removes the "Guardians are immortal" thing from the argument.
-
4 RespuestasThe thing is, only the hive know how to kill a ghost. If you don't kill a guardian's ghost he/she will be back in the fight in seconds
-
16 RespuestasConsidering one punch to the back of the head kills a spartan....guardians win.
-
15 RespuestasWouldn't the supers that the guardians have kill the Spartan? It says that everyone's abilities are charged!
-
5 RespuestasI really really wanted to say spartans, but once you take into consideration that the guardians have their ghost to bring them back to life potentially indefinitely, it becomes obvious that guardians would (eventually) come out on top. Spartans are better, and more skilled fighters that can take way more abuse, but guardians can continue fighting forever since they're effectively immortal.
-
1 RespuestaDestiny doesn't do a very good job at conveying just how powerful guardians actually are. Plus the fact that they can't die would definitely make it difficult for Spartans to win. Just look into the lore. I understand the arguments for Spartans to win, but Guardians are basically Demi-gods. Spartans wouldn't stand a chance
-
1 RespuestaProbably guardians.

14 RespuestasFull ammo? Well cayde ran through crucible like it was a game so him with heavy...
-
12 RespuestasExcept for the fact that guardians can come back to life. Kinda forgot that detail. It's like batman vs deadpool. You'd much rather one win, but it's just not possible.

1 RespuestaHalo is over rated

22 RespuestasMagic humans / robots blessed by a god to wield it's power vs humans highly trained in combat that have power suit. I'm pretty sure the magic space men who can't technically die will win.

1 RespuestaI'm still yet to see a comment on Cayde 6

1 RespuestaEasy for guardians... some say Spartans have experience (they do), but if you think the Titans that are over the crucible don't have just as much then you're a spartan fanboy, and Saint 14 could manhandle a spartan (just ask that dead kell)... Don't forget Jaren ward, well I think we can all agree it's going to be hard to beat that guy in a gun fight...
-
23 RespuestasGhosts never die unless there is a source of darkness so we win! Also just the 8 guardians use all their supers at the same time....... KO

5 RespuestasYeah sure but can Spartans account for red bar? Checkmate

11 RespuestasAll i can say to this is Lore Mechanics>Game mechanics (games need balance lore doesnt.) Of course a fist of havoc doesnt kill crota in one shot ,it would be O.P in game. Now if were talking Zavala , then maybe he can one shot crota with fist of havoc if he uses it from a very high area like the clouds, which im sure he is capable of. Zavala is the HQ head so he doesnt have time to one shot crota, he sends guardians. Dont even get me started on the Legends of destiny , ive heard some crazy stuff, especially Saint-14 , he freakin headbutt a fallen captain and killed it instantly, or even Toland , that was able to manipulate teleportation at great distances, and even tales from Shaxx saying things like he would tear the hearts out of vex , sear cabal with his light , or even fight hand to hand combat with a fallen captain.

8 RespuestasEditado por THEjusto0820: 3/6/2016 6:22:42 AMWe have no clue how a ghost can be killed though. All we know is from in game while in a darkness zone. But what can actually kill a ghost? The battle of twilight gap was a supposed massacre, so how were ghosts prevented from reviving guardians? How did crota slay countless guardians and prevent ghosts from reviving guardians? The only thing we know is a darkness zone, but that is an in-game mechanic. So I assume since fallen can destroy ghosts, a Spartan can easily destroy a guardian's ghost and prevent them from resurrecting.
