Shut down the forums never comment on anything and simply release content. Nothing good will result from interacting with these people. It's like trying to talk to a school of piranha wearing a suit made of meat
Stop everything. Leave Destiny as is for the rest of its lifecycle and allocate all available resources to making Destiny 2 the best game it can possibly be.
I mean TTK was good ,really good, however, the real frustration now is that there is nothing left to do in TTK. So bungie decided to stick with this event based system which is cool and all, but in itself wasn't big enough.
If you try sit down and organize yourself with destiny you will have to accept that it is more of an MMO more now than ever. Admittedly you can argue against the many ways destiny isn't an MMO, but ultimately destiny is an MMO, or at least it needs to become more of an MMO with regards to its system. Because, if we hand both of these events along with more MMO features to balance it out people wouldn't have to complain about these content droughts because the game and community would start to feel vibrant.
What I'm trying to say is give us major news updates about coming dlc along with these events as a side. But, to bungie it is still a matter of time and space and how long it would take them to do it. This is the big piece of feed back people are giving. Yes, it is really tough to manage a game, but I really do not know much about game development except that their are people that spend 18 hours a day working on these games, and I respect the people and bungie who devote a lot of their time towards this game. However, the major point I'm trying to make is cut out the unnecessary stuff to make room for advancement, and in particular stop making stuff for PS3 and XBOX 360.
Those consoles are literally 10 years old. Not only is the hardware very limiting to destiny's capabilities, but also its the case that some people just need to move on. I empathize with the fact that not everybody has money, I empathize with the fact that it's not easy, I empathize the fact that you've gotten a great value out of your 360/PS3 and that you may not want to upgrade. But, ultimately that console generation is weighing games down. Sort of like when CoD dropped the 360/PS3 it was controversial because they would loose a large portion of their player base, and maybe it's the same in destiny, but literally you are working with hardware that use RAM that is no longer used commonly anymore.
Ultimately what I'm trying to say is drop those consoles and it may give bungie more staffing/ability to actually fill us in give us more raid stuff or just original content in general that could sustain us. Then again, I don't know a lot about game development, but honestly that's what needs to happen if you want to get people out of these content droughts. It's really frustrating and I get that, but that's the problem.
However, when you have a problem like this you have to give us both the DLC and the events. Because, that's the amount of content we want. Both the DLC and the events are good, but if you are prioritizing DLCs are better. It's been thoroughly proven.
And if you want to keep the player base around ,which is what matters most to bungie right now, then I guess bungie should consider sitting down at think about their next DLC. However, I want to emphasize that the TTK and the destiny following it created is amazing ,and we as in the community don't despise this game we just want MORE. All we want is MORE.
Sincerely,
A concerned Guardian
Noooo. New content. New guns to add to the meta. No "fun weps" we need meta weps to add variety. Private matches. Bots in those private matches. New armor. Exotics! New strikes that can change drastically with each play. Not just different mobs.
Do add a 290 and 300 light lvl difficulty for vog and ce. Let us get that gear back as year 2 gear. This should be added in along side the new content.
