Around this last week, or the week before, people (including me) are feeling bored of Destiny. But if you had this content back on 2014, no one would be done yet. I know why.
People aren't rewarded for their efforts anymore. They feel robbed, and this is even worse than VoG grinding days.
This is because 1: Reward drops are infrequent.
2: The rewards you can get usually suck
3: Other things are just better
4: Bungie hasn't released half the TTK exotics in the database.
In the last raid I did, hard mode oryx, I got two items of value. A ghost shell and a mark. From Warpriest? Nothing. From golg? Nothing. Granted I did the normal raid first (which I got nothing but a fusion rifle from), is this acceptable? After beating one of the hardest bosses in the game, should I (or anyone) get a fusion rifle that's absolutely terrible anyway, or receive nothing? No. But it doesn't even matter, anyway! Because most of the raid weapons are bad.
Think about it. Would you rather use the raid sniper, or a gunsmith sniper with LITC? Who here, in this thread, feels the desire to own all the raid weapons? Is there a certain one (Fatebringer) that the entire community wants? Do people make websites in devotion to the raid handcannon (which I don't even know the name of. It's that's forgettable)? Do people scream in excitement to get Telesto, Hereafter, etc., jumping up and down, yelling in anticipation to use this new masterpiece of a gun? No! In fact, the weapons that most people are using to be successful are stock. Seriously? Why raid? To get ToM which has no use outside of the raid?
Back in VoG and Crota days, I had to have all the raid weapons. The rare ones, especially. People would walk around in the tower and gawk at my gear. My vex mythoclast proudly mounted on my shoulders, I walked to Xander as crowds followed me.
Then it went downhill.
Vex mythoclast > ToM >>>>>> necrochasm
Who the -blam!- wants necrochasm? Some people just wanted to collect it. In fact, that was the only reason to have it. The high end weapons got worse and worse until they were outclassed by everything else. I'd like to see a show of hands! Who grinded through PoE a million times to get Wolvesbane? *counts 0 hands*
And here's why collecting just left destiny entirely: We can't even get half the exotics. The other half are time gated. Now I can't tell you why. The haters out there will tell you it's to increase longevity. Maybe it's technicalities. I don't know, but it's stupid and it's turning everyone away from collecting exotics.
Here's what needs to be done:
•Raid weapons need to be good again. Something worth it.
•Raid drops need to be increased. I don't even care what you give me! I'd be happy getting something besides moldering shards and a black wax idol.
•Stop time-gating exotics
•Give us the database exotics or take them out
Luke, you're not giving people more choices, you're just making them feel like they wasted their time.
I'll add more to this post later. More points to be made.
Edit: There is tons of content with TTK, but no incentive, mostly.

The time-gating is a major "I'm done" issue. I've enjoyed the collecting aspect since the beginning, but the "drop everything, put your life on hold" because Black Spindle is up tonight, has been a deal breaker. I'm obligated to play at Bungie's time-mercy AND coordinate my friends to help? (I'm just not talented enough to solo it.) Destiny has always been anti-solo play (intentionally, so while I disagree, I understand), but I'm done with jumping through so many hoops to MAYBE accomplish something.

Editado por Hondaenthu93: 11/9/2015 6:18:52 PMI grinded PoE for a her benevolence that I never -blam!-ing got... But actually the raid pulse is great, the scout is also very nice, fusion rifle with the stability increased is good, machine gun is boss... So yeah I agree with some but not all you complaints. And touch of malice paired with blessing of light is dominant in any fight.. Sooo yeah... Not as worthless as you say. Edit: handcanons in general just suck now otherwise the raid one probably wouldn't be that bad and i hate to break it to you but they're never going to make another fatebringer or original vex cuz they want a wide variety of weapons used and don't want people on lfg requiring certain weapons (which happens anyway, see: ToM).

My main problems are repetitiveness, the grind is getting boring for me, plus my main issue which is only having half the exotics compared to the amount released on day one over a year ago
-
I see what your saying, I completely agree with what you say, your intelligent, you truly are, and I respect you for that, because your not another whining person, you actually have a legitimate point, kudos to you, you did gud

10 RespuestasExactly this. I havent been playing Destiny in a week. That was when I decided I quit untill destiny 2.. Or at least re-evaluate the game if it drops the next big DLC. I played since launch intensively every day and here are some facts that ruined it for me. -Dark below DLC drops, all the gear rendered useless.. That was a shocker, but I forgave bungie and kept playing. -House of wolves DLC drops. All the gear are rendered useless again! Ok.. Etheric light seems a good system. I forgave bungie. Naturally I started to hold a grudge against the game with all those dick moves from bungie. But when they announced TTK I was exited about the infusion system, only to be let down by the fact that you could only infuse year 2 items.. And the fact that most of the old year 1 exotics are being left behind.. -TTK launches.. I am forced to leave my favourite setup behind: Blackhammer, fate bringer, gjallarhorn. Im pissed.. They did it again. No etheric lights to keep my setup alive. In fact there are better GREEN items than my best setting in HoW. -Im stupid and peristent.. and keep playing trough the story which is awesome by the way but over so quickly. -I cant seem to find any weapons that feel like fun to use. I was previously mainly a Hand cannon player. Now there simply is no hand cannons in the game that I would feel like home to run with. I had High hopes for the raid hand cannon.. A disappointment. -I start to feel tired finding bad raid groups and spending hour to get a team together.. Only to realize we cant beat warpriest. -I reach light 309 and suddenly it strikes me.. Why the hell would I want to be light 310+ when there is absolutely no content for it besides the hard raid? If I shoot a dreg as light 309 it dies exactly as quickly as it would die when shooting as light 260... -Bungie introduces microtransactions.. And after that there is Kotaku writing that all the future DLC will be free and Bungie not confirming it. -blam!- this shit, keep your emotes. I start to remember all those gear rendered useless. They have done it, and they will do it again. The last night I played was a Oryx raid with a bad team.. in 4.5 hours we reached to daughters when the team scattered. I got 304 boots and a bunch of shards as a reward for the struggle. So I decided.. This was it for me. No more destiny. No more grinding for gear that are rendered useless. I keep prowling the forums every now and then. And keep hoping Bungie would have learned from its mistakes.

3 RespuestasDude your WRONG about the Telesto, and I didnt get it from the raid, I got it off the Cabal Champion during a patrol, and its AWESOME completely convinced me fusion rifles are quite good.
-
Not taking away from what players are saying but maybe playing the same game too much makes it boring.

Editado por Sunday2313: 11/9/2015 5:51:37 PMWrong we're bored because we don't have a year two icebreaker lol
-
bungie just wants to paces their game you should pace your self too also really any reward you dont want or dont like is of course going to suck you cant get good stuff all the time and i agree with the raid weapons being better being a mostly pve player, i find it's disappointing that random rewards in the crucible are better then something that acctully takes effort to get done not trying to hate on pvp it's just you can easily join a crucible game, be horrible, and get a good random reward. with raids you need to plan, communicate, work together, also deal with lfg, to get it done

If it wasn't for my clan, I would've quit Destiny a long time ago. I put up with alot of the game's ups and downs and in the end, I don't feel like it's worth it. I'm not gonna go around bashing the game like some butthurt people do, but I'm seriously cutting down on playtime and my interest has dropped significantly. I only raided and ran strikes with my clanmates because we'd joke around and have fun but they're feeling burned out as well and there's little to no chance that this experience can be the same with random people. I think I'll play some of the single player games that are coming out and maybe get back into Battlefield for my multiplayer fix. So much grinding for weapons and armor that aren't all that special or you only get to use a few times. You work to hit max level only to run the raid again then the new expansion comes out and all that is obsolete and back to the grind again. It's all personal taste so I'm not really bashing Bungie, it comes down to the player's choice whether or not they want to keep running on the hamster wheel
-
I agree, some of the exotics seem lackluster. I have the first curse bounty and I'm debating whether to finish it. Hand cannons are not that great anymore. Also they need to make some of the old content relevant. I use to enjoy running poe, but what's the point now.
-
The RNG and light level system is the worst I have ever seen. It's a hamster wheel with micro transactions.
-
Bump for truth.
-
Agreed. I'm a true destiny fan but some of this has to stop. How could they make raid level gear and no one wants anything but the pulse rifle... I really like the LMG though, but still. The fact is its like they are time gate ing all this stuff that's in game and not doing anything with it... I'm patient but there little I even want to accomplish anymore. It would just be nice if they had a way to really communicate with us what there working on and when we can expect it.
-
Your solid post gets better. I agree with pretty much all you said. Especially close to my heart are your comments about exotics. Time-gating exotics is a bad idea if they are promised with a new release but held back. I am not against the concept of time-gating, however; if Bungie wants to do this to provide surprises for players over time, it is probably best if they keep them off the database for as long as possible. Depriving us of Y1 exotics when we were given to the understanding that they would be a constant throughout our Journeys in the world of Destiny is just plain mean, however.

2 RespuestasAlso time hated exotics

I really hope Bungie reads this post, especially all of the feedback from players who have been loyal to their game, the players who made Bungie aware of their flaws. Bungie needs to read more posts like this instead of those stupid "Nerf" posts. Hand cannons dominated the crucible prior to the 2.0, there was no doubt about that. Pulse and Scout rifles both are dominating the PVP world now and both can get full auto perks ,which makes them shoot almost as fast as an Auto Rifle, but with 3-5x the damage, which makes them as effective if not more effective then hand cannons were. The shotguns got shot package taken away, yet they still have a Rangefinder perk, which is just as good as long as you aim first. The majority of people use pulse, scout, snipers, shotguns in pvp. Now Bungie, what are you going to do with those weapons now that everybody uses them? Are you going to ruin them to the point everybody uses Auto Rifles? Probably. Bungie, you need to let people play the way they want with the weapons and gear they want to maximize "Their" playing experience.
-
They make the drops be infrequent and poor because if you got everything you wanted on your first two runs through you'd have no reason to raid anymore and you'd be bored for that reason. They figure More raiding>less raiding. So yeah. I do hope they stop holding back content though
-
Took a week off for vacation, came back to help a friend beat Oryx the first time... got nothing but 2 shards. With the constant need to infuse and +300 gear being so coveted, I would have been semi happy with anything 302-309ish. But no... nothing. I was in a party with friends who were finishing HM Oryx and you should have heard the disappointment when they were checking that last chest. Only one guy got a piece he needed (315 boots) and even that wasn't max level. I haven't raided since.
-
2 RespuestasI have grown quite bored with the game (mostly because most of my quests have reached a matchmaking dead-end) but last night I was on the dreadnought, camped with 2 randos in front of a cave during an "Ennemy are moving against each other" event and we shot around 500 cabals. Nothing special dropped, we didn't win anything, but shooting 500 adds for 5 solid minutes felt gooood.
-
1 RespuestaIt's RNG to the power of RNG. RNG squared if you will. Will I get a drop and will it be better than what I've got. At least with the old system a drop was good news.
-
1 RespuestaI would love to have more freedom in customization of the guns. Not so detailed like CoD, but if anyone here has played Diablo 2, the gem system was great. Imagine if we could determine the burn on our guns? If we could choose a burn on any weapon, primary/secondary/heavy. Talk about variety!
-
8 RespuestasAgreed. Bungie is hurting themselves. I don't care about a challenge mode of the raid. Just more loot that will never drop. What kind of raid forces unwanted loot on you and then locks you out? That's -blam!-en retarded. Every raid in other games gives you an option of wanting it or passing on it because if you take it, that's it, have to wait a week. That is what pisses me off the most about the raids in Destiny.

9 RespuestasEditado por EMUracing: 11/9/2015 1:45:01 PMEither increase the drop rate (quantity) or increase the drop light to max (quality). Right now we have random quantity and quality of drops, which for the most part means that when you do get a drop, there is a good chance that it won't be max light. They are just trying to make it take longer to reach max level/light. And this current method is very frustrating. My destiny playing time has been reducing, since the only thing worth playing is raids, and they are so random with loot. If the loot were guaranteed to drop at every point in the raid with guaranteed loot at random light, or if the drops were random but at max light... It wouldn't be as frustrating. Getting the same loot that you already have at a lower light, or 1 light more than what you have is terribly frustrating, and doesn't make you want to very back into the raid to get more... It makes you want to put in Forza, or any other game so you cam forget about the rng on rng on rng! What is most frustrating, is when you run one of those guys through the raid. You know, the ones at 302 light... The ones that you have to wipe for over and over...That by the time you reach oryx, have received every drop, at near or max light on their first run and are now higher light than people that have run the raid 5-6 times through with that character.

Actually earning telesto and hereafter was pretty exciting
