Anyone else have no drive to play the raid
I keep looking at the raid and thinking "why would i want to do that?" or "what a waste of time." Like seriously does anyone still get on Destiny and actually want to get the raid done? With smite and halo 5 out there is no reason to continue this grind for stuff that isnt even fun.
Anyone else feel the same way?

Been here since day 1, my favorite thing to do in this game is raid. I believe the Taken King is a fun raid with good mechanics, and I like the fact that it is very team oriented...but that's where all the problems arise. Being so dependent on other people is a great challenge..unless those 1 or 2 guys literally can't handle it. Getting to Oryx is a cake walk, but having someone die before getting to Shade..makes me rip my hair out. Also its extremely frustrating that the best gear and weapons I have gotten, came from my VERY FIRST hard raid. I have to pass those guns from character to character just to be high enough light to even take a swing at Oryx. The last raid I ran this week, I didn't get a single drop until the Daughters, and it was a 311 shotgun. RIP

4 RespuestasThe only reason I still do the hard raid is for the shader. Unfortunately I'm getting $hit drops and I'm not even close to getting a full harrowed set.... :/

I did Normal mode over 10 times, Hard was released and now I really don't see a reason to do it. Same weapons, same armor, almost same mechanics. Not much point in being 320 Light if I'm scaled down in Strikes and other general PvE.

I am worn from it but only because it's apparently impossible to get in a group and not have 2-3 people constantly messing up on Oryx. Only had 1 run since hard came out where I found a truly good group, and it was done second try. Still enjoyable that way. But wiping for an hour+ and having people rage quit...done. I'll just stick to trials I guess

7 RespuestasI feel the same. I was a prette solid raider but im stuck now at 307-308 but to find a solid raid group that even let me join is dmn hard.

It's just reskinned guns and armor with a harrowed at the beginning. Pretty lazy for such an elaborate raid, so yeah after 30 times it gets old at least for me.

Drops are terrible. I do hard mode and literally only get shards. No double drops. No harrowed. Nothing. I'm playing Black Ops 3 now. See ya

1 RespuestaYup haven't played destiny in 2 weeks almost and I've been here since day 1! It's just turning into a crazy waste of time nothing you spend your time on matters anymore they haven't added much really other things they have time gated and I've already done everything on it and even then I didn't feel the same as I did back in vanilla. They have improved some things but it's just not enough to make me wanna stay. Add in the horrible programming they've done recently with all the glitches the crucible lag and disconnect issues and the cheaters don't forget the cheaters that biggie can't control one bit for some reason and you get what we have now. I've been playing halo 5 and the next gen graphics look fantastic definitly makes destiny look "cartoony" and the fact that halo has dedicated servers for their gamers and it's just starting to make destiny seem old and obsolete... And honestly I don't have fun playing destiny anymore like I used to. there's just a voice inside my head saying I need to do the raid get more gear and get my light higher but honestly when u take a step back that seems more like a Grind than fun... That's it hate me if you want but I truly loved destiny but just like a middle school crush that live is fleeting.

Log in, do the daily bounties, no mates online... Oh can't do anything else. Raid loot is horrifying... Exotic drops are shit. Hardly play anymore... Just a bore now. Completed raid on normal once. Waiting on Star Wars :)

1 RespuestaI've completed the raid a fair few times and the loot drop system makes me not want to carry on. Been at 307 for weeks with no helpful drops :( Just gonna bite the bullet and run hard mode next time

Even with a regular team and the HM raid on farm, i haven't logged in for about 2 weeks. Worst loot drop system i have ever seen. Literally. And i have played a lot of MMO's too.

Having to find 5 strangers to play with is already a road block to me playing it, but you pretty much have to go watch someone play it first to know what to do AND it is just too time consuming (I can't 100% allocate that time and guarantee I won't have to leave). That's why I just play strikes. Hopefully one day though.

Typically keep having people who screw up for an hour straight just on the totems. Not gonna bother wasting my time if someone can't make a simple character rotation when they hear "switch left/right"

Because of time constraints with work and family, my play-time has taken a serious hit. It's ok though, they come first. But I've done the raid up to sisters three times.....for a heavy machine gun and gauntlets. Both with crappy light levels? Why would I want to finish the raid? Between that and night falls I've moved on. Rekindled my love for halo 5 and waiting on battlefront. In one of bungies own quotes from years ago...."fix your shit".....then I'll be back.

The raid is super fun! But it's not super fun with a lot of the randoms you find on the forums. I find the hard raid relatively easy as long as you have a grasp of what's going on and can hold your own. I just don't have patience for most people who invite me and it's them and their friends wiping all the time. It's just obnoxious, so I'd rather not do it at all then have to deal with that because those are the type of people who will spend 8 hours+ on oryx and still never kill him. This hard raid really points out who can hold their own and who has to get carried. And the ones that have to get carried are the ones slowing everyone down. And then there's the no knight strategy that people insist on that isn't hard, but if you don't get pin point timing you die. And you have the people that are used to being carried wasting their self res every turn cause they die every cycle.
