I just started using fusion rifles a little bit in pvp and I would like to improve my skills. I've always been a sniper rifle kinda guy but I'm curious about fusions now. My questions are specifically, what are some solid fusion rifles (currently obtainable) that are good for pvp, which weapon perks are the most beneficial, and any other tips/advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

The Telesto is pretty amazing if you can swing enough agility.
-
Thesan FR4 with rangefinder and hot swap single point sling. Deadliest gun in my arsenal I can one shot people from 20 ft away it's not even fair
-
a good perk set on a long far gone can be deadly, you can also pre-purchase the vortex/vacancy from FWC which are monsters, and if you got a good perk set on ashraven's flight, you're laughing Thesan is a safe bet if you want to get used to fusions... Susanoo also another notable choice

I used to use perun's fire, the calming, the frenzy. since year 2, split shifter pro. For me personally it was the accel coils, but since they debuffed high charged rate fusions, I use rifled barrel on mine, unless I miss, I don't get fusioned by another user. Just my 2 cents

1 RespuestaTelesto is obtainable. I get those as my troll exotic. Literally, every single exotic special engram or legendary special engram turns into a Telesto.

1 RespuestaCheck your old gear if you have. The old Plug One I have is a monster.

2 RespuestasTelesto. That is all I have to say to you. Get a god damn Telesto. If you have one, use it. The initial burst doesn't do damage, but it's the delayed blasts that kill. I've gotten like triple kills spamming it into a room lol

I do just for fun at the moment. Waiting on Plan C. Actually do pretty good with telesto, but in competitive game modes I have no choice but to run shotty/sniper
-
1 RespuestaSometimes. Split Shifter Pro.

1 RespuestaI use the telesto, it does pretty good damage and can also give you a post mortem kill if you get killed before tje explosions happen

1 RespuestaSplit shifter pro.. That is all

2 RespuestasThe omolon Thesan FR (from the gunsmith) is pretty decent if you can get accelerated coils on it. It's got pretty high base stats which makes it fairly versatile in most situations. However it does have a pretty long charge time so some predictive charging is going to be needed.

7 RespuestasEditado por Youre Lightwork: 11/15/2015 1:49:17 PMWell first, you'll have to tinker around w. The different archetypes & see which you think like the best. Fast charge-low impact. Slow charge-high impact. Or right in the middle. Personally, Ive tended to gravitate more towards the fast charge rate. It's rare I don't get OHKs so I just use the quicker one naturally. Something that you always want to look for in a fusion rifle is stability perks. Stability on fusion rifles acts a bit different than it does on other weapons. The better a fusion rifles stability, the tighter the spread is for the beams. It's almost like shot package.. You definitely want to find one w. Braced frame, I think that's the best stability perk. Sacrificing one in the magazine for a massive amount of stability is the best trade off you'll find. I'd still use something else if I had to, but braced frame is the best. Hand laid stock will eat up your range, but I'd still use it over anything else... Hip fire / hot swap are go-to perks you wanna find on a fusion rifle. They're both fantastic, I guess if I had to choose though I'd prefer hip fire. Just because it's always there, not just when you switch to your weapon. It makes a tremendous difference... So stability + hip fire / hot swap is the ideal roll on a fusion rifle. That'll maximize your OHK potential significantly. & just make it a lot easier to use. Now, I'm NOT saying you can't get OHKs without these perks, not at all. You can still absolutely shred. Eye of the storm is also very effective. Raises accuracy as your health gets low. You'll find it active a lot as you've taken some damage in CQC, so it works just as well, really. I might even prefer that over hot swap actually. This time around w. The vendors there's a lot of great fusion rifles. I haven't personally tried Dead Orbit's, but I've tried every other. The Crucible fusion I liked a lot. However, I didn't have the generic roll. I had eye of the storm + hidden hand. But that was my first go-to. The vendor version is good too, with Battle Runner + Life Support. I'm pretty sure it's got Braced Frame too. The Vanguard fusion has a great roll...but nothing good in the middle tree, nothing for stability. If it did, I'd use it exclusively, as it's got low charge rate, & hip fire + range finder... Both FWC fusion rifles are fantastic. One is very fast charge, the other is the opposite, very slow, but very high impact...personally, I feel as if Omolon fusion rifles are really good...it just seems their stability is naturally really good, & idk why but I've always felt like the beams have a tighter spread than others I have used, regardless of a perk to help it. I guess because of the naturally high stability on the Omolon fusions I've used. If you're on a Warlock, I HIGHLY recommend you level the Gunsmith to 2 & use Susanoo. It's absolutely amazing, my favorite fusion rifle. It's just a shame as its last perk gets wasted in PvP, no need for elemental damage type... :/ If I were to recommend you to go buy one, I'd probably say go for The Vacancy from FWC. it's Omolon, it's got decent PvP & PvE perks, it's got high stability, ridiculous range for a fusion, & it's almost always a OHK as it's got very high impact. If you'd rather have a low impact + fast charge rate for your first, I'd recommend getting Long Far Gone from the Vanguard Quartermaster. Hip fire + Rangefinder is just way too good to pass up on, you can do some serious damage w. That fusion. Only issue is there's nothing for stability, & stability is the most important thing for my personal fusion rifle taste. If you want one right in the middle, go for Panta Rhei from the Crucible Quartermaster...I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's got Braced Frame, or something from stability. Or maybe it's got something for range..which is also really good. I don't remember :( but I know it's got Battle Runner + Life Support which are both fantastic perks...for me at least. & also that I've had great success w. That particular fusion w. A different roll & I liked it a lot. My roll also wasn't using anything for stability, so it's still great either way. What I've been personally using the most of anything else lately, is Split Shifter Pro. I got one randomly from the Crucible w. Hip Fire, Braced Frame, & Grenadier. Plus it's got really good sights that I like a lot. So that's what I use the most right now. Susanoo is #2 for sure. But I can only use it on my Warlocks so I've not been using it as much cus I've really been enjoying Golden Gun & ShadowShot. Hope you've found this a bit helpful man. I'm pretty good at PvP, & I've been using fusion rifles almost exclusively since 2.0. Good luck
