More so than any other Raid so far this one exposes players who just aren't that great.
There's nowhere to hide boys.
Everyone has a job.
Everyone needs to STAY ALIVE(they have the hardest time with this one)
Everyone needs to think on their feet.
Everyone needs to DPS.
Everyone needs to use their supers and abilities intelligently and to the benefit of the team as a whole.
There are honestly some players who may want to consider skipping this hard raid or at the very least ONLY run it with Warlock Self-Rez so you have an extra chance or two when you mess up.
Seriously, consider it. Some of you are making this A LOT harder for other people when you join a group.
EDIT: A lot of you are mistakenly assuming I am some sort of Rage Monster who yells at his team mates, singles them out right away, and kicks people. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I patiently explain every step, try to help my team mates, ask them what gear they might have and make suggestions, ask them if they would feel more comfortable in a different role, I try new tactics that other teams run, I play for hours with the same team even when we are struggling, and I HAVE NEVER KICKED ANYONE IN MY DESTINY CAREER.

You have a point. First raid where everyone is truly 1/6th. I like it that way though.
-
1 RespuestaEveryone needs to use supers and abilities? More like no one needs to. Grenades sure I'll give you that but no one needs any supers. They might make it easier but you don't need to use them, let alone use them intelligently.
-
Move along folks, just an X Box fgt over here
-
1 RespuestaA very good point OP :) This is a good thing. Raids are not meant to be carried through!
-
8 RespuestasWanna know what i find funniest part of your post? I'm not gonna wait for you to say what! You have finished hard raid ONLY ONCE. So it don't see how you qualifie to tell people they should skip the raid!
-
After looking at your completions, you get muted.

1 RespuestaLast night, my 304 a$$ wanted to try a hard run. Figured daughters was my favorite part. I found a group that would accept me. They were alittle cocky, saying "we could beat this 5 man, we just need your bubble". Needless to say, I'm thankful for the opportunity this gave me. On the one hand, only one wipe was thanks to me- those centurion axion bolts are no joke. However we always killed the first wizard and got caught up running on the second. (Other two wipes were not my fault) One thing I'll never get though, is how long it takes some groups to set up. Once that white screen is done, everyone needs to break from middle and get ready to jump. Once the hymn starts, that's when runner jumps and everyone follows Unfortunately. I got nothing but moldering shards from this. :'(

13 RespuestasIf you have beat oryx hard with a hunter then you are elite. (and make it to the end without dying) Warlocks: cool man, you finished it but you died 5 times and had self rez... not impressed Titans: shields and OP power, but not as bad as warlocks (I give titans props too) Hunters: All you have is invisibility and you can make orbs for these locks to have a second/third/fourth chance!! And you didn't die despite being made out of paper!! You are the true elite players!!
-
It exposes an unprepared player. Doesn't mean they are bad, it's an actual challenge. Something Destiny hasn't had in a LONG time
-
You have a Destiny Career? What's the pay like? Lol, just joking!
-
-
I hate being forced to run a rezlock to play with people. I Don't Die! But they say my lightning is useless. ....beaten 4 times.
-
3 RespuestasI'd beat it if I wasn't kicked every two -blam!-ing games because of my light level. (Not to mention, 99% of the time I'm kicked even when it isn't my fault. It's just because my light level is slightly lower :/)
-
6 Respuestas1v1 me Valhalla Halo 3 and we'll see who the scrub is...
-
9 RespuestasLMAO i love it. It really does. I leave any group that does the "no knight strategy"
-
1 RespuestaI had a guy who would jump out when he had unstable light, he was the whole reason we could never kill golgoroth.
-
This raid is beyond easy, there are so many garbage players on lfg. I really can't be bothered with this raid but a high light level would help for trials and Iron banner. Also if anyone is using the raid sniper, DON'T. Use it as infusion for a blackspindle or 1k stare. I shouldn't be doing double or damage every single time at the Warpriest or Golgoroth. The faster you kill the bosses the least chances for mistakes.
-
Theres tons of hiding, wtf do you think wards of dawn are lol. When you shoot sisters or oryx are you out in the open or hiding in the protection of an aura. Like at the door to warpriest too. This hard raid isn't hard. Doable with below 310s. Shit happens and people die. Everyone can beat this, even if we have to carry them. Plus, you always have the option to leave yourself. Only person wasting your time is you
-
The fact that we spent hours on monday perfecting the strat.... And getting killed by the elusive question mark (anyone want to explain?) we killed hard oryx 3rd try on tuesday after blasting through the other bosses... Takes work to perfect... Gotta squash bugs to win...

I've commented on this post and read most of the replies. This strikes a chord with so many people because, like VoG(Crota isn't a valid raid), this raid requires Teamwork. Whether you are using the normal or no knight strat, teamwork is mandatory. In reality, this raid reqiures very little actual shooting ability. If guys can't make sniper shots for whatever reason, they can just as effectively use a machine gun. I even played with a guy that didn't have ToM and was using an upgraded Truth to wreck everything. Whatever works. I think the point that was trying to be made here is that if you aren't prepared to listen, learn, and communicate then maybe this raid isn't for you.
-
Hearing "where is a goood to place to hide" on ez mode has made my back sore long enough.
-
Agreed. This is easily my favorite raid and I love the VoG. Staying alive is the hardest part but the most necessary (obviously)
-
11 RespuestasNever knew how badly some people were at controlling their jumps with their characters until this raid came out. Made me leave my old clan... now im a freelancer.
-
1 RespuestaThe hardest part of the raid? Finding 5 others that can beat a bloody video game
-
If they paid money for the game i think it's only fair they play whatever the -blam!- content they want.

6 RespuestasWhat OP says: useful tips for raid: - you've got to take into account you can't hide when playing the raid - you've got to know your job and stick to it - like never before, dying is more penalising than ever, and makes it impossible to succeed as a team: staying alive is number one priority - keep calm and keep analyzing/reacting - make sure you're equipped as best as possible (for the task at hand) - try to maximize the benefits created by using your super (orb generation, crowd control, saving teammates life or gaining them some time, etc...) Maybe: try sunsinger for a while until you got the hang of 'not dying' What forum gets: OP is elitist and intolerant
