I see some people arguing against a Christmas festival because it's "offensive" to some.
Seriously?
Have we gotten so sensitive that nobody is allowed to have any fun or do their own thing anymore without crying "but it offends [i]me[/i]"
This mindset is toxic. You aren't allowed to do anything you like anymore without some random kid saying "You can't do that because I don't like it too." If [i]the whole world[/i] doesn't agree with you, we just can't do it.
Forget that the [i]majority[/i] celebrates the holiday in some way.

If there's a Christmas type event then there should be a Hanukkah/Eid type event too. And that's just those three religions, theres many others too and I know it sucks, but it's unfair

If we can't get a Christmas Festival, hopefully we'll get a Holiday Festival instead. We can have things that represent Christmas, Kwanzaa, etc. just like this years Halloween Festival. I think that would be pretty cool.

3 RespuestasLot of people saying American company so do what we want. Personally I think it is more let the owners of the company or the employees do what they want. If they were all Jewish and wanted to make it Hanukkah instead of Christmas it really is no skin off my teeth. Christmas makes me a lot happier personally due to memories of good times but let people celebrate and propagate what they believe in without people getting mad about it.

My thing is they've done winter holiday stuff for mmo's as long as I can remember; why is this any different? Throw up some pine trees, sprinkle some snow, and give everybody some stuff. That's not difficult at all; however, it's people's incessant need to be "correct" that causes an issue. Winter holiday encompasses all of them, but because we threw one too many candy canes on something someone's going to get their knickers in a twist. Can't we just have some fun and enjoy it all together, I mean, isn't that the point anyway?
