EDIT: Third option is "I'm against it because I think I'm defending would-be offended people"
EDIT2:
58 people are "offended" by it. EDIT3: 125 now (67 person increase)
3538 people are for it. EDIT3: 7098 now (3,560 person increase)
One thing we can all agree on is we need:
THE TRI-ANNUAL DIABEETUS FESTIVAL WITH WILFORD BRIMLEY AS BEETUS CLAUS.
Are Some people seriously against a Christmas Festival because it would "Offend some people?"
I see some people arguing against a Christmas festival because it's "offensive" to some.
Seriously?
Have we gotten so sensitive that nobody is allowed to have any fun or do their own thing anymore without crying "but it offends me"
This mindset is toxic. You aren't allowed to do anything you like anymore without some random kid saying "You can't do that because I don't like it too." If the whole world doesn't agree with you, we just can't do it.
Forget that the majority celebrates the holiday in some way.

1 RespuestaA Christmas festival would be pay to win. This game is dying. Halo 9 is better. Can't wait for Fallout 3/4
-
Im jewish and i think its a great idea

2 RespuestasPeople that get offended are a cancer to our society.
-
Just like most holidays, even Halloween, Christmas is based on a pagan holiday, and I'm all for that
-
Destiny doesn't need Jesus.

9 RespuestasWhile a Christmas theme should NOT be considered offensive, it does leave out a lot of players worldwide. Many people believe in other religions, and not everyone celebrates Christmas. I'm a Catholic and I love Christmas, but I know others don't have my beliefs and don't participate. But believe me, I'm all for a Winter Festival with a giant tree and an ice rink on the balcony by Iron Banner, just like the one at the Rockefeller Center. That would be crazy cool. And maybe as a gift Bungie can give us some presents(;

2 RespuestasThis December is Star Wars season, not Christmas season
-
They could make it under a different name so not to "offend" people. For example, they could call it the Festival of Snow. Obviously it'd be a better name, but seriously, I don't see why people get offended by it
-
I am a celtic pagan, as my whole family is. Anybody that knows history knows that the Christian Christmas stole damn near everything from older traditions, arbitrarily decided it was Jesus' birthday, and got to the commercialization right before they began slaughtering thousands of my kind for our heretic ways.
and I'm still down for christmas tower. If anybody should actually be offended, it'd be us, my kind... but we are still cool with the idea, because -blam!-it, humans doing nice things for other humans is nice.
-
18 RespuestasI don't think this will ever be done. Simply because unlike Halloween, Christmas is a religious celebration tied to Christianity. If they were to create an event that was based on a certain religion, they would need to do an event for most (possibly all) other religions. I just don't see that happening man.

Editado por Parabellum5589: 10/29/2015 9:26:18 AMAll these pretend PC dicks should just stop. I'm an atheist, and I hate other atheists that hate on Christmas and all the other holidays. Also, if you don't celebrate Christmas just accept that you are in the minority. The world doesn't have to conform to everyone.
-
I'm Jewish but I want that because it's just a cool holiday, it's not offending
-
Listen, we're playing a game as zombies with space magic against slightly-satanic aliens(the hive), and the Halloween Festival of the Losr is apparently a celebration of that. How would a Christmas festival be offensive??
-
SOMEONE will always be offended, somehow...-blam!- them.. Please the crowd, not the crybaby.
-
It wouldn't be a Christmas festival, just like it's not a Halloween festival. It's the Day of the Lost or whatever the Hell it's called. Obviously no one's dumb and we all know what it is, but no. It's not Halloween, and a end of year event wouldn't be Christmas. Ave honestly maybe it will even address more of the true roots, that'd be awesome, get some pagan frolic in the tower.
-
They should be getting on with something constructive .. Not these meaningless events! I'm scared this is what they meant by free content :(

4 RespuestasEditado por Ne0nK0ala: 10/29/2015 9:29:19 AMThey shouldn't do any festival for a religion, religion only equals war, anything they do to do with it will split the community, sure it's definitely not offensive to a lot of people, there's always one person who goes overboard however. A New Years party is probably a better idea, that is inclusive for everyone.
-
Who cares if its christmas or hannukah or ramadam or quanza. You dont like it then ignore it. Some of us enjoy the new content regardless of what religion we may or may not have. This is still a game, right?
-
1 Respuesta4th option: instead of bungie spending time on a festival, they should work on more content, quests, weapons/armor so people will still be playing and not bored by then..
-
We need a holiday that celebrates strippers/dancers!
-
Festivus!
-
I am against commercialisation of a Christmas festival. I am not religious, I just don't want more micro transactions being pushed
-
Again... Can't please everybody lol.

Editado por wizardeiges: 10/29/2015 8:07:16 AMI think death cults are a load of horse shit and anyone in them is insane but I'd love a holiday little event thing near the end of the year. BRING OUT THE EGGNOG HELMET AND THE SANTA CLAUSE MASK!
