I see some people arguing against a Christmas festival because it's "offensive" to some.
Seriously?
Have we gotten so sensitive that nobody is allowed to have any fun or do their own thing anymore without crying "but it offends [i]me[/i]"
This mindset is toxic. You aren't allowed to do anything you like anymore without some random kid saying "You can't do that because I don't like it too." If [i]the whole world[/i] doesn't agree with you, we just can't do it.
Forget that the [i]majority[/i] celebrates the holiday in some way.

Just do a Christmas festival going off all the people I've met since the BETA they are mostly American, English, French, Australian, German. And we all celebrate Christmas as it is an around the world event

4 RespuestasI am against any religious content in the game. Once we do Christmas, we also have to do Ramadan, etc.Let's keep religion in the appropriate houses of worship. I do think however we should have a new years event to welcome all the Xmas noobs :-)

I'm for it but they won't call it a Christmas event because some people don't celebrate Christmas it will most likely be called a festival of some sort like how they didn't call this one a Halloween event it was the festival of the lost

Items could be all types of celebration themes rolled together . ( snowflake ghost shell for ex.)

1 RespuestaI can see it now... [i]Cayde 6 dressed up as old Saint Nick and he needs your help to get his stolen present back (there guns, all guns). All you have to do is every strike ever made on Dec. 24th or pay a small fee 2500 silver to aquire all of Santa Cayde's arsenal of giving. Nooo, we don't have any wrapping paper! A time locked quest on the 24th appears with only 5 hours left to midnight. You have to hunt down the Grinch (aka the Cryptarch) at the bottom of the King's Fall raid on HM. After beating Oryx who is wearing a little red hat and elf ears from a full clear (no checkpoints silly), you find our Cryptarch in a green suit tied up next the loot chest. His heart grows 2 sizes and if you're luck (50% chance) he gives you the wrapping paper (aka engramer)... or you could by pass this timed event for a mere 3000 silver ;-) Finally it is time to save Destiny X-Mas! You sparrow race across all the zones dunking presents like rift bombs in another time locked event fromm (11:00-12:00pm pst) ideally not messing up the timming our rout as then you have to restart the current zone. You can at this point if you want to purchase a sparrow of twice the normal speed that looks like Santa's sleigh with a Cayde 6 thumbs up logo on it for a mere 3500 silver (you can buy this any time as long finshed the last two parts but the actual quest closes at midnight).[/i] Congrats you save Cayde's Destiny X-Mas! Bungie holiday event staff and there stock holder now come over to your house and make sweet love to your rectum for the rest of the evening if you bought all 8000 silver. [b][u][i]Merry Destiny X-Mas guardians! See you at new year ;-)[/i][/u][/b]

12 RespuestasNot everyone celebrates Christmas. It's based on a religion. Not everyone is a Christian/Catholic. With that being said, I feel like most people celebrate Halloween, that's why there's a Halloween celebration.
