I could push it if I chose to, but I don't like to play with the best guns, and I run solo most of the time. I'm a big fan of playing for discovery. Finding what hard counters the popular strategy and winning that way is what im playing for. That being said, im only above average IMO when it comes to ability. Im the guy trying to beat you with his brain. I skipped HoW until like the last 3 weeks of year one, so i missed trials. I tried it a few times, but it was completely a different skill set from control. I'll be ready this time.

K/D doesn't matter, I think I am ok, I do run a lot of sweaties and tourneys ( I have done mostly Dead casuals tourneys) but in my opinion k/d doesn't matter, I tend to die a fair amount but I also have my fair share of good plays as well. So don't judge people on their stats, play with them and judge them on how much you enjoy playing with them and whether or not they back up what they say.

On the 360 I was 1.1 but on the ps4 I haven't really played PvP much but I've been getting 2.0+ on some games

i'm not the best but a decent majority of games i play in i'm in either of the top 2 spots on the leaderboard :P

I'm average, but haven't had any issues with any of the Exotic quests that require crucible play. I'll take that and be fine at the end of the day.

1 RespuestaSometimes I get those games where I absolutely dominate with 20+ kills and a 1.5+ K/D. Then... there are games where I do absolutely abysmal with less than 10 kills and a less than 0.5 K/D

Because I think based on team objectives and sticking together and don't care about my KD if it can get us the win.

My KD isn't amazing but I usually do pretty well. I don't really care for deaths. O just try to stack my body count pretty much.

I'm erratically average. Lifetime KDR is 0.97. I say erratic cos I'm as likely to come first in the team as i am last (well perhaps more likely to come last). Some days I'm on fire. Other days I'm holding the shotgun the wrong way round.

1.4 k/d. Have been playing shooters for over 5 years. I am definitely above average, not pro though. My K/D in the last 2 call of duties i played have been over 1.8. I know that destiny crucible is very different than call of duty multiplayer but experience carries over, it just has different mechanics.

Mixed feelings on this, why do people use k/d ratio as a standard for "good" , when what matters depends on the game type. If all you play is Rumble then yes K/d is a way to say "Im good", but if you play rift or control then the standard of "good" changes to a player that can read his/her team (since most of the time you play with some amount of randoms) and be able to cover the holes, hold a choke point, capture points, draw the other team away with diversionary tactics, ....the list goes on and on and the whole equation changes when you auctally have a team that communicates with mic's. My K/d is around 0.8 as an overall avg, but I can honestly say that when I'm on your team my only agenda will be the win, not medals, not stats, not looking good, not even bounties (if i get them it was in the natural course of the game, if I dont....oh well). I cover the people sniping so they dont get flanked, i draw the other team away from "b" by neturalizing their spawn flag, i'll be a "sheild" so that runner takes less hits, use my super at a time when its most effective (not just to save my own ass)...etc. And then theres the times where I just wanna screw around and find amusing ways to use weapons or the enviroment to mess with other players, let people hilt bash me to finish a quest, in fact right now im working on The First Curse if you wanna go into rumble with me and shoot each other in the head a bunch of times let me know. I guess my point is.... if have a mic, want to put together a team with actual game plan, and win some matches thru shear teamwork Im your man. If you want to get a bunch of kills while the rest of your team is focused on an objective, and then brag about it, Im not gonna be impressed and neither will anyone else that sees whole picture that is PvP.

Depends on my motivation. I have a pedigree in online FPSs and have usually kept a 1.50-1.80 KD in most games I've played while playing the objective and not killwhoring. I'm not Xcal (not even close), but I'm generally someone you want on your team. With that said, however, I've always hated Destiny's abortion of a PVP. Nothing I hate more than unavoidable deaths & that's all this game really is. I can finish top 3 in the lobby regularly if I'm motivated to, but honestly, at this point I only play for the daily marks, so I couldn't care less how I do.

I consider myself average if not SLIGHTLY above... but when I did that Destiny Legend of you video it said my warlock was in the top like 20% and it blew my mind

Guessing I'm considered below average. When I do play PVP I play for the team always never for myself. There's no getting better at my age, but if they would put me in a lobby full of Guardians my age " 46", I might actually dominate lol.
