WTF BUNGIE Iron Banner ended EARLY?!?!?!/
So, reset isn't uusally until 5 am EST, and it's only just after 3 and now the iron banner playlist is gone.... right as I was going to the tower to buy my Nirwen's Mercy.
What the hell guys? Thanks Bungie, real f'ing cool...
EDIT: For clarififcation, it was 3:07 AM EST when I noticed it as I was insantly booted out of the playlist for my party size being too small (thought to myself WTF?) and then I saw it was gone on the director. Panicking, I checked the tower right away and sure enough Saladin was gone which really cheesed me off since I was only a few points shy prior to the match I'd just won of rank 5 and I needed a few more marks.
I didn't even think the gun was all that great until I looked at some youtube videos like 20 minutes before firing up destiny as the stats weren't super impressive when I first glanced over it. Turns out the thing has some of the best recoil in the game making it stupidly accurate and easy to control, beating out hawksaw easily and hawskaw is a very good rifle.
So it's cool to post a half-assed twitter update that they should know not everyone will see towards the end of the final day's afternoon and to not say anything about banning or what have you and TS for everyone else who may have been working etc? No Bungie, you post that stuff on your site. This is why you have an official forum and a news section. This is literally the only AAA title I play that DOESN'T keep a regularly updated news feed for announcements like this on the game's actual website. I did a 14 hour shift yesterday for the Canadian federal election and was extremely tired when I got home. Decided to check the website and relax/eat etc and there was nothing new so I just chilled for a bit, finishing up my other weekly stuff and then went to finish off IB before bed only to see this nasty little surprise.
Nevermind all the people who were cheating by abusing the shadowshot glitch, or who completely suck at PvP going 0.2 KD or less and essentially contributing NOTHING to the team getting the IB gear just handed to them because your reward system doesn't take performance into account at all (whereas with Raids you can't just coast through). I don't even know what to say at this point, the level of incompetence being displayed just baffles me.

Same here man I was holding off on buying it hoping I'd get it as a drop and now it's gone early so I'm left empty handed for getting to 5 this week... beyond pissed

6 Respuestas[b]NOT COOL BUNGIE!!! >:( [/b]What terrible update notifications and on such a short notice...I've been checking the Twitter feed all day until I got off work with only old tweets, nothing new...so I stopped reloading the page thinking they were done with updates until at least the weekly reset. So I've been grinding my -$$ off after dinner because I was out of town all weekend and even made sure to stack my bounties before I left. I had the cloak on PS4 and was a couple wins away from rank 5 which I had even been grinding fricking legendary marks as well for the pulse rifle. Now that I'm back home and done with Monday's work, I switched to my Xbox One character to at least get the cloak (thinking I had another 2 hours before reset to get back on PS4...you know, like it has been...for the past year) and I [u]literally[/u] was in the last match to reach rank 3 for it, smashed the other team, and won only to find out no rep was earned and I couldn't get back in to ib. At the very least they could have left Saladin available to purchase our items!!!!! Why can't Bungie put message streams in the orbit menu or at least something to read when we highlight events in the destination map that says "Time Left:" It's an online only game for christs sake!!! Too many times does Bungie rely on other less expensive resources to exploit for services that should be provided in-game. (i.e. Matchmaking aka 3rd party Destiny LFG apps, and Twitter to rely on pointing out very important info, etc.) Use what I'm sure is mountains of cash from even just the recent emotes we're all buying and give us some serious updates. It can't be impossible with the $ they're raking in. I'm not a game developer and even I could point out the many many flaws that keeps this (amazingly) solid game from earning a review score higher than a 7/10. In all honesty, I consider myself an extremely loyal and dedicated fan. I've never devoted so much time to any game in my life...with over 1000 hours on XboxOne and I just picked up the white Destiny Edition PS4 so I can play with my cousin and other Playstation friends. Why am I so addicted to this love/hate relationship? This was an inexcusable waste tonight, Bungie...I planned the entire week of grinding around being away for the weekend, and have only one cloak to show for it, when all I needed was those 2 extra hours?!? ...even just an extra 20-30mins was all! I've never had that strong of an urge to throw my controller through the flatscreen...I'm really struggling to want to continue with any other of these future weekly events...smh. *logs out of app, takes deep breath, and goes on with zombie-like expression to grind higher gear for Kings Fall Hardmode...

I haven't even played iron banner, but that shit is messed up man. It's like they actively search for ways to piss their players/customers off. And no, not everyone follows Twitter, surely that's why there is a news section on this app.

5 RespuestasThe grind was REAL for IB. I got all characters to rank 5 and played extra on each trying to get drops (Didn't get anything but the Titan mark). Then today I played 40 or so more matches trying to get the pulse to drop. It finally did drop at 11:30... but it had worse perks than the vendor one so I just gave up and bought the vendor one. I then decided to give it a few more tries and played until the game kicked me off... I never got another drop. So basically I wasted way too much time looking for a gun that I just ended up having to buy from a vendor.
