The super was the only thing holding the subclass up, now that the hammer is (understandibly) getting nerfed titans are going right back into being the worst pvp class.
And where the hell is the striker buff we've needed since day one?
I'm thinking about just changing my class at this point.
I mean really, other than the bubble in pve there's pretty much no point in being a titan once the hammer is gone.
EDIT* this seems to have become (a suprisingly reasonable.....for the most part) discussion about the state of the titan class and where it should go from here.
I would also like to say that I am aware that sunbreakers aren't confirmed to be nerfed, my original post is simply a "what if" statement.
And yes, defender and striker can be used to success in pvp. I should know, I've had to get to the lighthouse with these subclasses myself. They are undeniably weak compared to hunter and warlock in pvp though. And strikers are weak in pve.
EDIT*
Fair warning. Enough people have started whining on this post that I'm just going to push the mute button if you bring any stupidity here (you know what I'm talking about).
I'm the OP, I'm the person you're trying to argue with. You lose that opportunity if you start shit posting here.
Frankly I'm too tired to talk to these guys anymore.
Edit*
The mute thing is working! The number of people saying rude and stupid things has gone down dramatically.
Some people disagree, some people agree, but everyone is explaining their point without being an asshole.
Keep up the good work fellas!
Edit*
I don't actually think sunbreaker deserves any nerfs. I only said that to inspire civilized conversation on this post, remember this was made back when they fixed rapid-fire hammer bug and we all thought hammer was getting nerfed.
I'm taking a break from destiny anyways so I don't care as much about this topic.

Thank you for stating that Freeze Easy, I agree that titan is going to be nerfed to a -blam!-ing foam hammer with spray painted fake fire on it with the NERFED logo on the side...
-
Striker was my second best Trials class behind Bladedancer (I'm terrible with all Warlocks) . Not really sure why they'd need a buff.
-
1 RespuestaThey are looking into it and i hope no nerf is inbound as i do not see it as being needed. Maybe tweak the regen to a 50% chance but otherwise...... I really see nothing wrong. In the hands of the right player anything can be "op"
-
1 RespuestaI wish bungie would let us know how or what they might nerf In getting tired of them coming out with partial answers
-
Well the only thing bungie needs to do is add another element of damage and make those subclasses as broken as possible
-
Ever try striker with helm of inmost light? Pretty badass, lightning grenade?.... used to do pretty good with striker.
-
How do you know they'll be useless? How do you know what they will nerf and what they'll leave alone. Just wait and see what happens first. (Mains titan) and they do need adjustments mainly a change to dmg resis
-
This is hurting my brain so i think i will just avoid these class specific threads/arguments
-
1 RespuestaBubble Titans kick some teeth in PvP, especially objective based PvP (I'm looking particularly at you Salvage). It forces a trade (super for super) or the enemy team will just sit outside and wave. Even a 3-man coordinated attack against a Saint 14 Titan in their bubble will not end well for the attackers. And don't forget about a lightning grenade chucking, Armamentarium wearing, I make Zeus look like a pussy, flying around like Ironman, Titan. Sure, they don't have blink, but do they really need it?
-
I doubt they will nerf it much. Hopefully it's just a small one.
-
5 RespuestasJust because they decide to nerf the HoS a bit won't make it worthless. They can still tweak it a bit have it be great without being OP.
-
Nobody has ever gotten compensation for a nerf, why should this be any different? I don't even think it needs a nerf to begin with. If you hear the sound of it activating, keep your distance and wait it out, or help out your crazy teammates who are trying to kill him. Health regen doesn't work worth a damn if you keep shooting them, and if you got more than one person on them they should go down fairly easily if the people with you have even half a brain cell between them. Before everyone assumes I main a titan, go look at my stats, warlock and hunter all day baby.

7 RespuestasAfter a few days of Iron Banner, I'm all aboard the (slight) nerf train for Sunbreakers. There is no reliable counter, and they have too much potential for team wipes. I mean, why can't I keep shooting my Golden Gun until my super bar runs out? Why do I only have 10 seconds to run around once I've activated it but Sunbreakers get... What? Just shy of 30 seconds if they're not actively using it to roam the map searching for targets. I like suppressing Sunbreakers as much as the next guy, but if my only counter is to run Nightstalker and pray my super is charged, what else can I do? Team shooting doesn't work, because they kill one of you and suddenly he's back to full health (as opposed to Hungering blade, which has its regen interrupted). You can't snipe them. And they have a ranged, tracking, AOE attack. I don't think I've ever actually called for a nerf, and I'm a day one player. But, ffs, Bladedancer was never this bad because at least they had to get close to you, and you could always kite them away from your team so at least they only take you out. At least you could snipe, shotgun or just plain team shoot a Bladedancer. I don't want to see them nerfed into the ground, especially because they're fun to have in your fireteam for PvE. But... That Healings gotta go. They can keep the damage resistance for all I care, but you can't have a roaming, long ranged, tracking Super with enough energy to team wipe AND Heal at the same time.
-
11 RespuestasThey should just put the health regenerating and tracking on the same column so that you can't have both.
-
Here's your compensation....
Deej nutz!
-
Striker is still awesome. Honestly enjoy playing as a Striker over Sunbreaker
-
I doubt sunbreaker will be bad after its nerf. It'll still be one of the best supers.
-
Yeah although I never had a problem with any of the subclasses. I mean i just have to look at my KD ratios (not that they mean too much tbh but..) and I see i did better on my titan and I've played him nowhere near as much as my hunter. Thats with defender.
-
5 Respuestasshut the fuck up, they have two of the best grenades and their passives are decent. you don't need any "compensation," entitled bitch.
muted for being a dipshit
-
11 RespuestasLMFAO!! Compensation? Are you -blam!-ing high? Titans bitched, whined and complained about arc blade and got it nerf'd, TWICE! What compensation was given... An additional neck to the only decent grenade in the subclass and a nerf to blink. You win the award for being the biggest retard on the #Destiny forum. Unless it's satire, in which case I'm wrong and it's funny.

Editado por Erijian: 10/16/2015 1:29:05 PMIf Sunbreaker lost 5% damage reduction, they'd still be a top class..They'd just have other methods of being killed which players can take advantage of. Pretty sure their damage reduction will end up being what gets hit, and i have a feeling it'll be just a small amount like 5%. I wouldn't be too surprised if they lost something like 20% though.
-
I think the only change that should be made ;if any) is for both the +hammers perk and heal on kill perks could be moved into the same perk column. This would make titans have to choose between to too. Nerfing their armor is a horrible idea IMO. Being able to absorb a GG shot is one of the coolest parts about sunbreaker.
-
3 RespuestasAll they need to do is make sunbreakers a little less tankier , since there's a perk to enable them to heal on the spot anyways , and sunspots grant an oversheild anyways
-
Not sure about others but I haven't had much of an issue yet with Sunbreakers. If I did have to say something on a potiental nerf in the future it would be to just lower their damage resistance like 15% or something in pvp specifically. That would probably satisfy most people leave titans alone for the most part just reduce their damage resistance. If they are a little easier to kill no real reason to complain.

5 RespuestasThey said they are looking at it, doesn't necessarily mean a nerf. They didn't nerf blink even after they said they would look at that.
