I hope sunbreakers get some kind of compensation
The super was the only thing holding the subclass up, now that the hammer is (understandibly) getting nerfed titans are going right back into being the worst pvp class.
And where the hell is the striker buff we've needed since day one?
I'm thinking about just changing my class at this point.
I mean really, other than the bubble in pve there's pretty much no point in being a titan once the hammer is gone.
EDIT* this seems to have become (a suprisingly reasonable.....for the most part) discussion about the state of the titan class and where it should go from here.
I would also like to say that I am aware that sunbreakers aren't confirmed to be nerfed, my original post is simply a "what if" statement.
And yes, defender and striker can be used to success in pvp. I should know, I've had to get to the lighthouse with these subclasses myself. They are undeniably weak compared to hunter and warlock in pvp though. And strikers are weak in pve.

I don't actually think sunbreaker deserves any nerfs. I only said that to inspire civilized conversation on this post, remember this was made back when they fixed rapid-fire hammer bug and we all thought hammer was getting nerfed.
I'm taking a break from destiny anyways so I don't care as much about this topic.

2 RespuestasTitans only issue in my eyes is the damage reduction. It needs to be cut in half. They will still be viable in pvp. I used Sunbreaker in ib and had a blast with sunbreaker. Once I went on a 17 kill streak it was awesome

Everyone is just whining like they did about Bladedancers. Titans don't have ranged melee (closest thing is a should charge but requires a long running start and good aim) or ranged super. I think it's pretty balanced right now, even with glitching Nightstalkers.

The sunbreaker should be a direct kill on a hit not if it explode beside them that should only take out a good chunk of life

Pre ttk it took me half an hour just to find a raid group,because people would kick me because I'm a titan.even worse for trials or iron banner,which took 30-90+ minutes until i got a group that wouldnt kick me.

10 RespuestasLol, Titans were never that badly off, and nerfing Sunbreaker down to a fair level absolutely does not mean it's going to be nerfed into oblivion, Bladedancer was nerfed and it's still a great and valid choice to use, just fair to counter unlike before it was nerfed. Sunbreaker will be the same, still great but fair, so calm your titties. Accept that it's OP because it really is and just get over it already.

I don't main a titan, so my opinion isn't completely valid but the only thing I would like to see is a little armour reduction (Maybe 2-5%?)

It's not gonna be nerfed to the point where we all go back to striker lol. Besides even if it was I'm sure the community would love to get FoH all the time anyways (: Remember we can tank just as much damage in that super also lol.

After thinking about it, I can see why you might be concerned. Lets face it: Bungie aren't that great with the balancing. Vex op; better nerf to unplayable status. Suros Regime too good; better nerf the entire auto rifle weapon type to dirt. Thorn average but not quite good enough; better buff it so damn hard that it'll be exclusively used for the next 9 months. If Bungie actually adjusted sunbreaker well (remove or tweak 1 maybe 2 things) it'd be ok. But now that I think about it... they probably won't :/

9 RespuestasI think it'd be kinda cool to have the Sun Titan be playable in two different ways. 1) buff the armor, but only allow the hammer to be swung in melee. Kinda like a slower blade dancer but tanky (to make up for the speed) 2) lessen the armor and allow the titans to still throw the hammers. Personally I believe that the first one is how the Titan should have been built

I had no problems carrying on crucible and iron banner as a striker and defender in y1. It has nothing to do with the class and everything to do with how much you suck.

Combine this with fusion grenades, you should get a free kill every 12.5 seconds,, sounds pretty good, without having tested it. The other two grenades are good for priming targets, giving an edge in any duel. Having a big advantage in a fight every 12.5 seconds also sounds very good.. Have not tested if the cooldown is reduced to this amount though, so,, i dont know. If this is how it works however, it will be very very good. Still, a bit of an adjustemt to the super wont make the super less good at wiping teams,, should just make the super less of a yolo ez bulldozer type deal.

2 RespuestasI just hope that they can get that duration reduced to be fair. Doesn't make sense that Bladedancers lasts 10 less seconds, has less armor resistance, uses super energy for attacks and kills, but requires you to be in an opponent's face. Alright.

But oh! They have OP super we want a nerf. No love for Titans :( They don't realize how OP their kill feeding supers and exotics are.

Well look at blade dancer it was a little less op then hammer of Sol, after they nerfed the armor it was still good.
