I hate people who boast about their kd. I ran into people who go invisible and wait for heavy to get kills, than they tell me they are better players... when the only top 1 percent stat they have is kd...
Ps can someone tell me my medal score?
My stats: http://destinytracker.com/destiny/player/ps/indiainboy

3 RespuestasKD doesn't mean shit because all the best pvpers are playing sweaties. Your KD in a sweaty will be completely different from pub games.
-
I'm top 1 in a bunch. If you have a good kd means you're good at pvp and pve. Bad kd means you're bad at pvp.
-
You could get 5 kills without dying, run and hide, and bam there's your 5.0 KD ratio. Repeated, you may seem like a good player but ultimately you're only getting 5 kills each round and barely contributing to your team. So no, it doesn't reflect upon your skill accurately
-
2 RespuestasI boot sub 2.0 k/d from raid.
-
33 Respuestasonly bad players say kd doesnt matter
-
2 RespuestasTo me, kills per game combined with score per game and k/d should all be thrown in as a contributing factor to how good a player is. I might only have a top 5% k/d, but I'm top 2-3% in kills per game and around 4% in score per game. Score per game and kills per game show if your just a camping noob in the back, and k/d shows skill if those other two stats are high.
-
Yeah this game is not really balanced well enough to say. Sure they make everyone equal in crucible, but weapons matter more than anything really. Sure a bit of skill gives you an edge, but there are so many one hit kill weapons and powers in multiplayer that it's reminiscent of CoD.
-
2 RespuestasHaha. People actually think this game takes skill. Everything isn't even balanced. Lmfao.
-
I think this is too broad of a topic. Too many variables and questions come into play. Like: 1. I go solo into control based games and get pitted against full squad teams. I wont do well as I could if I had a full squad. 2. You cant compare free for all players to control players.
-
Destiny needs to start tracking Score Per Minute. It's the definitive way to actually know how good someone is. A camper can have a high K/D by sitting in a corner with a shotgun or headglitching behind cover with a sniper rifle the entire match. But if he only got 5 kills in a 10 minute match, he's garbage. Period. Score per minute shows how efficient you are at killing and at playing the objective.
-
6 RespuestasIt does when you have a massive amount of kills. Going 10-0 isn't impressive; you get a pat on the back. Going 100-0 is downright God-like. Going 100000-50000 is good in my book. So someone with a 2.0 KD "would" be good, if he/she has a shit ton of kills AND matches. That shows consistency and what some might call some sort of skill.

You're*
-
Nope, K.D. does not mean you're a good player.
-
2,000,000 medal score How the -blam!-
-
Nope because mine is crappy also. But i care about win/lose since im top 7% on that website lol
-
3 RespuestasNo if you are like me, crucible is where you go to have dinner and just not try with snipers or stuff like the no land beyond not always going try hard with zhalo supercell and a shotgun/fusion rifle
-
6 RespuestasNah. I'm more impressed by solid PvE play since pvp is just shoot the first thing that doesn't have a name over it.
-
You're a better player if you finish 16-10 on a control match with many captures than a 16-0 player with one capture
-
7 RespuestasFor other fps games I would say no, but here in destiny I would say that yea usually the better kd the better the player. People here care more about their precious kdr. Personally I think I'm pretty good, my kdr is low but that's due to garbage playtime in the beginning. The only thing I truly care about tough is winning. I wish they had win/loss ratio. Because that's were the boys are separated from the men. Anyone can kill, but not everyone wins.
-
-
With no true skill match making kdr doesn't mean anything, maybe you are average and just get paired with scrubs? You can't know. Even in PVE there are so many hidden things and farming techniques, kdr there doesn't mean squat. How many time have you died farming glimmer? Bosses? Kdr in this game doesn't truly reflect anything.
-
Theoretically, yes. Truthfully, no
-
Nope not on destiny
-
No. I think it says more about playstyle then actual skill. Maybe you rush more and as a result you die more. Maybe you play the objective super hard. That a lot of reasons that your K/D might not be very high but that doesn't mean you're not skilled.
-
5 RespuestasIt used to. But since Gunsmith testing and pvp quests. Not any more. I went from 2.85 to 1.85 in 3 weeks.

1 RespuestaI feel that if you have a high K/D but your win ratio is under 50% then you're not really that good... You're more likely to be someone who camps or focuses on getting just kills and not assisting teammates or helping to capture vital control points. I believe having a positive K/D and a 50%+ win ratio means you're at least decent and you try to help the whole team. But never the less I tend to respect most players who have a higher K/D than me because they usually have a good win ratio as well. I range in the 1.5 K/D and ~50% win ratio
