So according to Luke Smith trials will be making a comeback but they want to make the flawless more "prestigious" so they're going to mess with the matchmaking. He didn't gave any specifics but from what I understood the idea is to match you against tougher teams as you get close to the flawless.
Seems like fun.

Edit2 - Bungie just detailed on their weekly update how Trials is going to work on Y2 so no more need to speculate, just go check it out. I think this thread can now be put to rest unless someone still has some complaining to do :)

Well look at the bright side, least you don't have to worry about running into an whole bunch of Thorn and Last Words users.

16 RespuestasEditado por Bicepus Maximus: 10/1/2015 8:54:48 PMIt will just promote new and more innovative forms of cheating. Trials is by far the worst implementation of pvp in any game to date. The last Trials made lag switching, ddos attacks, and other forms of lag using routers common place. Every crucible match. Almost every Trials match had some element to cheating. Flawless is meaningless garbage and proof Bungie is no longer a top notch develoer. It is embarassing they keep introducing this low tier non-competitive crap. Also, if they actually added skill based matchmaking none of you should statistically get flawless because 9 games with no loses is frigging impossible against even teams. Omg... the crying would never end.

3 RespuestasCan't wait! Had hand cannon, scout, auto with all 3 burns last trials. Only one that eluded me was void messenger. Has any seen if we are getting new trials guns? Only bummer was the trials guns were geared towards pvp, but no need for burn/elemental damage in pvp. Still can't wait!
-
Going to be so much easier now that people won't abuse Shotguns and Handcannons. If you are the more skilled player you'll be winning most of your gunfights and games.
-
2 RespuestasHow will they resolve teams that have different wins on their cards? Maybe I played last night and have 5 wins but had to stop. Now I'm playing with new friends who just started. They have no wins. What happens then?
-
2 RespuestasTrials will no longer be a beloved game mode by the PvP community because
thorn and last word can't crossmap and final round doesn't work anymore.
Yes my opinion of this community is actually that low.

2 RespuestasWhen I get my First Adept weapon from Year 2 Trials, I will come back to the forums to troll people :) going to love seeing all the butthurt scrubs who can't make it to the Lighthouse
-
1 RespuestaJust wait until the last day of trials and most of the better trials players will already be done by then.
-
2 RespuestasI see people complaining about lag and I'm like: Am I immune to lag or something?

89 RespuestasAh, trials. Give yourself a pat on the back OP, you made me smile. That part where their going to make flawless more prestigious lmfao Out of all players who have been flawless, less than 2% were actually legit. An easy over 85% cheated their way there. The remaining 13% were carried there. it will happen all over again. Why? Simple. The lag is back. The ability to abuse it is back. The switch still works. Kudos bungie
-
So then there will be even more lag switchers in year 2 than in year 1.
-
1 RespuestaGood for trials, now twitch streamers that carry can raise prices. Hooray!
-
2 RespuestasHarder for not so good players. It's going to be no different for the good players. Just another day in Trials. Breeze right through.
-
Honestly it seems like it will be easier. Instead of going in on round one facing people who are on thier 7th or 8th win you start against teams who have no wins as well. I've faced many good teams my first match that completed their card. It seems like it will be a little bit more fair. The opposite can also be said though. I've gotten my flawless off of teams that were on thier third loss. The new system does sound like it will be better, let's just hope the cheating really has been scaled back even though lag will always be an uncontrollable factor...

Dude the hype train.

Trials is broken. The lag is horrible. The problem with flawless wasn't winning. It was getting lucky with matches that wasn't glitchy as -blam!-. If they address that issue then maybe it will b fun again. But nothing's worse than going 8-0 and on the ninth match have a bunch of bullet sponges who teleport everywhere. I used to go lighthouse every week. Only once in a great while did we actually lose to skills.
-
Editado por Silent: 10/1/2015 11:54:54 PMThat makes it more interesting, but kind of sucks. I like to win, but it'd definitely make me feel a bit of guilt knowing that I destroyed what may be the other teams' last chance at getting flawless with that card.

1 Respuestathey also told us that matchmaking was based off connection when Trials came out in May as well. How wrong they were.

52 RespuestasI just want an exotic that causes my body to detonate if someone tbags it.

The weekly update says that you will be matched with opposing teams with similar amounts of wins. If you have 8 wins, you'll be placed against a team who also has 8 wins. Should be intense
-
3 RespuestasThey need to make it if someone on your team 4-0 you go against another 4-0 team or 8-0 vs 8-0. That would reduce flawless a lot
-
I forsee triple sunbreaker teams everywhere...
-
Good. I like challenges

1 RespuestaHA
I've never done trials
When. I want.
