How can Bungie fix shotguns for real.
Too many matches are all still shotgun shootouts. Bungie has tried, but its not even the range of shotguns as much as the corner camping and the hardcore rushing made possible by map design. We need a fix that keeps shotguns relevant, but reduces their effectivness when rushing hard. Too many players get all their points that way.

4 RespuestasI think shotguns are fine and feel the crucible is overall pretty well balanced besides the issue with Sunbreakers and all. Shotguns will always be prevelant in the crucible though due to the game mechanics and movements in Destiny like blink and glides and stuff. ~[i]Dreams[/i]

It is the range, also luke smith said "they need more work" also I think they just can't allow shot package in the game, if they removed field scout they have to remove shot package.

Decrease special ammo for shotguns, so you use shotguns for a critical up-close situation.

1 RespuestaAs a shotgun user in year 1... It seems like bungie have only nerfed the year 2's - it got a year 1 and year 2 party crasher with similar perks and the year 2 is no where near as good - I'm now using a sniper ready for trials...

The answer is BIGGER MAPS! You don't get shotgunned on rusted lands or shores of time as much as exodus blue or burning Shrine.

6 RespuestasMy solutions to shot guns is shoot them in the face as I back pedal. Too many scrubs rely on the slide, and if you are back pedaling while shooting they often fall short. If they are faster than me, or have a better strategy. I feel like I got beat fair and square. Live by the shotgun, die by the shotgun.

They need to not be a one shot no matter the distance. Perfectly acceptable that they could shotgun-melee, because that requires to be close, as a shotgun should be. But should never one shot.
