True test of a yr 1 player......
If u are finding it hard to find material for ur exotic sword quest... u clearly have never had to farm.
Update:wow really wasnt expecting this post to take off like this.
Also to those that keep saying u farmed on the dreadnaught.. we arent talking about that part. Look into the exotic quest.

4 RespuestasGot a good tip from a fireteam member: 1)Make sure you have a ghost equipped that detects the materials that you are looking for. 2)Bust out your sniper and look down the scope and scan the horizon. All of the resource nodes will then pop up. I then rotated between areas.. ie.. on earth... do steppes, mothyard, and then the shipyard. Repeat in that order. Still painful... but it made this quest suck less for me...

I found my 10 soliton flares in 90 minutes. I was farming materials with a friend, so we opened the same amount of helium coils and he only had 4 when i was done.

It's not yr 1 players it's pre christmas noobs, some people don't know how good they have it. Keen scout and a ghost which tells you were the material is got this stage knocked out in about an hour.

5 RespuestasI had trouble finding relic iron from my quest, and I've farmed it relentlessly when the game was first released. Relic iron farm was always focused on chests, and the sword quest requires nodes only. So how does being a year one player help me any?

I tried going the normal route in the rocketyard, didn't even find a lot of spinmetal. Found moth yards + the spawn into patrol worked much better

This quest was so easy for me for all swords. I have routes that are so fast none of them took me over an hour

At least we can use the Keen Scout or a ghost now...doing it blind truly sucked!

I like having the new ghost that pings it for you, I've had 3 or 4 at the same time ping. I've had to farm for hour on end since destiny came out, so I know the chest locations and most of the materials spawns. I also have a hand cannon with the tracking on it, get a kill and it gives you the keen scout ability for any class

Lol no ghost required, it all came back within 10minutes. Haha

5 RespuestasThe struggle. It's real yet again. These Y2 guardians are cute if they think it's difficult when they have access to something we didn't: Ghost: Relic Iron/ Spirit Bloom/ Spinmetal/ Helium Filament Sensor I had to farm 7/10 of my materials without the ghost haha

Don't get e started with material farming lmao the night before that patch came out i farmed for 2 hours getting helium filaments...next day I was pissed lmao
