If u are finding it hard to find material for ur exotic sword quest... u clearly have never had to farm.
Update:wow really wasnt expecting this post to take off like this.
Also to those that keep saying u farmed on the dreadnaught.. we arent talking about that part. Look into the exotic quest.

Lol I just started mindlessly farming after 10 mins. Don't know if it took 40 mins or a few hours haha.
-
RNG does not care about the Old Watch status when grinding for that stupid relic iron. It's easy but tedious.
-
I rarely farmed Mars to begin with, but keen scout makes the farming life easier.
-
Not hard to do. Just no desire for the sword here..
-
Those days of farming *shudders* I hated it so much! Dx
-
Just because it's difficult doesn't mean we haven't experienced it before.
-
Lol I've had insane amounts off all the materials from farm packs of wolves for chests.....except relic iron since Mars wasn't part of that. Then taken king came out and almost every legendary I got took relic iron. Bummer lol

2 RespuestasReal year 1 players know this is an unnecessary grind fest in order to log in more hours, like 80% of the quests. I still like the game but it's ok to have an opinion on issues unlike a fan boy in denial like those Nintendo boys

5 RespuestasFinally finished it last night after about 3-4 hours of grinding. It was a bitch to say the least, but it did take me back to the old days. I found it annoying having to get kills with my hunter(gunslinger). Once the kills were out of the way, I switched to nightstalker and just ran around with the radar perk and found everything much faster. Fun times.

I remember farming but I still think it blows and they shouldn't have added it to this questline. There are plenty of new, exciting things to do and farming the same old materials on the same old routes isn't one of them. It wasn't hard and didn't take that long, it was just tedious and frustrating. -
1 RespuestaTrue test: Ask em where the first for engrams to gear for VoG.

I have famed for 5 hours and have 1000+ spinmetal...I only have 5... fuck you rng
-
oohhhhhh the good ole days of running in circles and hoping someone didn't run the opposite direction as you. good to see that skill was needed once again x)
-
This is the only grind I haven't looked foward too-day 1 player

6 RespuestasTook me 45 mins or so for each one!

2 RespuestasHaven't finished the exotic quest yet, but I'm sure all my old farming trails will come in handy.

4 RespuestasEditado por ThatAmazingIdea: 9/28/2015 7:38:37 PMThe corn flakes or whatever for the legendary swords... god damn it they reminded me of Relic Iron farming. Straight up cancer that was. But I do remember learning routes by just following people around the maps memorizing their routes for Spinmetal or whatever material I needed (all of them...). My friend shows me one, I start doing it, and another person is doing this new route that has all these new locations in the same area. So I mix the two routes together and boom! Hadium Corn Flakes for my sword are done!

I used to do alot of material farming back before TDB and damm that exotic material quest is still worse lol.

1 RespuestaIt is a completely unnecessary step. -Year 1 Player

2 RespuestasI still remember all my farming trails. Don't really need them any more but for the sword I found one on the dreadnought and was done in 15 minutes.
-
Let's put it this way. I didn't like it, but it wasn't hard. It was just very time consuming and boring.
-
I just used to farm chests before the exchanges
-
Routes should be memorized

3 RespuestasWanna see how much spinmetal i have?
-
I remember just jumping in chat parties while farming and we'd just talk for a few hours and debate about politics. That's how you know you've got a solid group of real friends.

4 RespuestasGot a good tip from a fireteam member: 1)Make sure you have a ghost equipped that detects the materials that you are looking for. 2)Bust out your sniper and look down the scope and scan the horizon. All of the resource nodes will then pop up. I then rotated between areas.. ie.. on earth... do steppes, mothyard, and then the shipyard. Repeat in that order. Still painful... but it made this quest suck less for me...
