If anyone has been wondering why L2 doesn't allow you to block, it's because Bungie made a boo boo and labeled it wrong. It's L1 to make your sword activate the block, and yes, it does consume ammo slowly but steadily during blocking so don't just hold it like a newb. Haha. Hope this helped some people.
